Buying a place in New York City (any of the 5 boroughs), whether it's a coop, condo, or townhouse, can be extremely stressful and taxing on your spirits. The expense is one thing, but all the other components to the process can be a major pain in the you know what.
I'm in the process of buying a condo with my girlfriend. I can't wait until it's all done and over with and we're finally settled into our new home. We're still a few weeks away from closing, but of course issues keep coming up and at times I feel like I'm going to have an anxiety attack. Luckily we have a broker at Aguayo & Huebener by the name of Sarah who has been extremely pleasant, proactive, and attentive to our needs, because everyone else involved in the process has been about as luckluster as a turtle crossing the road, and that's just keeping it mildly.
If you're in the market and ever consider buying a place being handled by A & H Realty, be sure to inquire about Sarah Z, regardless of who the allocated A & H broker is of a given property. She'll certainly ease a lot of the stress and tension commonly associated with buying a place.
