    Avocado, Avocado (Aguacates, Aguacates)

Here's a well deserved update for you. Stopped in for lunch today after the Weekly Yelp gave me a massive Mexican craving. I'm not a big fan of Tex-Mex, but I love me some authentic Mexican food!

Against my better judgement (my craving for tacos overpowered my doubt in their corn tortillas) I ordered the Three Amigos which is essentially 3 tacos on soft corn tortillas with tortilla chips. I went with 2 carne asada tacos and one pastor.

Yummers! As usual, the ingredients were all super fresh, but today the tortillas did me justice! They held up without falling apart. Maybe I put too much spicy salsa last time? Not sure but I had my tacos the way I love them. Simple. With just meat, a little cheese, onions, cilantro, a dab of crema (Mexican Sour Cream - it's a bit thinner than regular Sour Cream) and another dab of the salsa.

    Today, it was perfect!

Aguacates really does serve up authentic Mexican fare!

    Orale!!

    5 Stars! You earned 'em!

Have lunch here about once a week. Always great their tacos have ruined all other tacos of me. Places lime Chipotle & Moes can't compare, even though thy re the same type of assembly line type places. Ive tried almost everything on their menu & have liked everything, which is good for a lunch spot, I don always get h same thing.

M Amorites is probably he 3 Amigos (3 tacos), their quesadillas are one of the best I've tried, their Torta ( mex sandwich ) is also pretty good & their taco salad is very popular too

Aguacates is always fresh & clean. Service always friendly.

Very good, authentic Mexican in the heart of Doral. You can get quesadillas and burritos, but while they are very good, they are not spectacular or that much better than your average Tex Mex.  Not surprising, since neither dish is authentically Mexican, which is what they excel at.

Having lived in Mexico, I can tell you their tacos are the real thing - fresh, soft, corn tortillas, and savory, homemade fillings - specifically, carnitas ( shredded pork ), al pastor, steak, chicken, etc.  Mexican food is best when it is simple and earthy, like it is here.  They have a " salsa bar " that is much more authentic that what you will find at Lime or similar concepts - there is not only cilantro and raw onion and the ubiquitous pico de gallo and red salsas, they also have " curtido ", which is a mix of carrots, jalapanenos, onions in a spicy broth.  This is particular to the Mexican states of Jalisco and Sinaloa, and this is the only place north of Homestead I've seen this.  You'll never see this at Lime!  Delish!

The staff is also very friendly, this is a " order at counter, pay, sit " place, but the counter staff is genuinely friendly.

The secret is indeed in the sauce!

I stopped by here - an economical and convenient lunchtime spot - to satisfy my Tex Mex craving on my first day. On that note, it gets a positive performance evaluation.  I enjoyed a chicken burrito that was right up there with the fast gourmet chain and certainly larger than that of the fast food places. The tortilla was warm and sizeable (two hands long), stuffed with fresh, lean chicken and and crisp lettuce. Management was also attentive, going around the tables see how everyone liked their meals. They throw in a sprinkling of chips and you get free soda refills. All in all, it was adequate and I'm giving an extra star based on customer service. But as my headline implies...

The sour cream is the economical liquid type that tastes meh and soaks up the tortilla to the point ingredients are falling all over your plate. Also, the mild sauce is REALLY mild. If you are a connoisseur of spice, be sure to ask for the spicy one. Although the base is the same as mild, the cut up peppers mixed in do make the difference.

Besides the restaurant space, they share an outside dining terrace with one of the other restaurants in the business plaza.

Nice Mexican restaurant In Doral, good spot for lunch time. I tried the Veggie taco salad which consisted of a taco shell, yellow rice, refried beans, cheese and guacamole. The dish was quite filling, portions are good, prices are decent.
    Service on point and fast.

even though it was a rainy day, we decided to try Aguacates. The place is clean and simple and the staff is friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Two TVs inside. Sauce bar. I had the 3 amigos platter for under 7 bucks. I tried all three meats, pastor(great flavor), chicken(abit spicy which is great for me) and carnitas. Definitely a nice size lunch portion. Sure I could of ate more but then with the rain and satisfied lunch, I would of been sleeping at the office for sure!

We happened upon this place by chance when we were on our way to another restaurant in this shopping center.  We decided to try this instead and we were NOT disappointed!  We've eaten there 3 times already.  The tacos are great.  Try the pastor and the carnitas!  The pastor is extremely flavorful and the carnitas are tender, soft pork.  I was happy that they serve tacos on soft corn tortillas, my favorite.  The corn tortillas are better than most I've found anywhere else in Miami.  I don't recommend the chicken tacos only because the chicken didn't have much flavor.

The tacos are served with tortilla chips.  They have a really delicious smoky red salsa that I love to put on my tacos along with their salsa verde.

I definitely would recommend this place for a quick, flavorful lunch.

This place is pretty good. Is authentic Mexican food at a really cheap price. I gave it 3 stars because the menu is very limited (about 7 items to choose from), but overall, very good food.

I knew Aguacates when they were open in downtown Miami. I ate there several times after a trip to Guadalajara, Mexico and was surprised to find they had pretty authentic Mexican food that you don't usually find in most Mexican restaurants in the US (usually it's Tex-Mex).

Recently, I was in the Doral area and my father and I stopped for lunch at Aguacates. Many of the same employees from the downtown restaurant were still there, which makes me think it is a family-run establishment. There were several new menu items, but the food was as delicious as I remembered it. Aguacates is an excellent value for the food they serve.

    Good, cheap, consistent mexican food.

Go there about once a week for lunch and am never disappointed.  Serves it's purpose. The guy serving the food usually has some funny stuff to say if you speak spanish.

2.5 stars out of five seems pretty fair to me. miami doesnt really have good mexican food (compared to los angeles, for example) so from the moment i saw 'aguacates' from 87th avenue in doral, i knew deep in my heart that i was in for nothing special. but i gave it a shot. why the hell not?

apparently, a lot of people in doral like this place cause i went in like at 12;30pm and it was packed! service was pretty fast and effective. i got me a carnita sandwhich (torta). first, i thought it was weird that i had to choose how my sandwich was made.. most places serve you the sandwich as it comes, with sliced avocados not avocado/guacamole cream. tortas also come with jalapeños. not here. the meat was well seasoned but a little greasy for my taste and because of this and the liquefied  avocados, my sandwich just fell apart as i was trying to eat it. another thing is that 'aguacates' hottest hot sauce is wimp. i cant say it was the cheapest lunch ever either as  i paid 7$ for the sandwich alone. will i be back? if someone takes me, i rather ride my bike to the BP gas station and get a cuban sandwich.

Stopped for lunch on a weekend, very little wait. Staff were friendly and portions are large. I had a bean & cheese burrito and saw several people ordering the taco salad (with chicken). Plenty of seating inside or out and plenty of parking. Great choice for fast food "style" restaurant.

Aguacates is a conveniently located (Doral), fast food style restaurant serving fresh and hearty Mexican food! It's a popular spot for the lunch crowd and often has long lines. Fortunately, the service is very quick!

    Food
The food served at Aguacates is usually fresh and tasty. We've been going here for the past two years and the food is consistent.  Their selection includes overstuffed burritos, quesadillas, taco salads and much more! You are able to choose from a variety of meats- chicken, ground beef, steak and pork. They also  have a wonderful condiment area offering onions, fresh cilantro, a pickled jalapenos/carrot relish and a couple of different sauces.

    Atmosphere
This is a fast food style atmosphere. It's no frills and no fancy stuff, but simply decorated and very clean. You grab your meal and can choose to sit inside or outside. Be warned! On busy days such as Fridays during the lunch hour rush, there's quite a line and it may be more difficult to find seating. Fortunately, you can always take your food to go!

    Service
Service is fast and simple. You order your meal, they prep it the way you want, you pay and your ready to go! Everything is self serve and there's ample condiments and utensils located at a small station.

    Recommendations:

Carnitas! They definitely make delicious pork. If you order the burrito, fill it with the carnitas!

I was in Doral the other day and I happened to be in the shopping center where this restaurant is located. I was actually about to drive off to look for a Mexican restaurant to have lunch at, but luckily while waiting to pull out of the parking lot I noticed their sign. Food is served cafeteria style, but don't let that detract you, as this is very similar to some other Mexican grill chains that you've probably visited, except the food here doesn't taste anything like chain restaurants. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go eat here, I would definitely have lunch here if I was in the area.

This place is great for lunch. The food is fresh and quickly prepared which is good during these hours for the Doral herds. It sure gets packed but I usually take it to go. The chicken burrito with the tostaditas is outstanding and enough for two. I like their selection of mexican beers, even thou I'm not supposed to drink during my lunch hour. The place is kept clean and tables serviced after every use.
