We were in Hollywood at 5pm, in traffic, when we got a craving for pizza. We all know there are tons of places we could've visited out there, but nothing would compare to Agrusa's delicious pizza!! It took us an hour & a half to get there, but we made it. Spaghetti w/meat sauce and a pepperoni pizza... Perfection!!! So worth the drive. Service is always excellent and EVERYTHING we've ever tried has been delicious! I'd give them 6 stars if I could!

Like many other yelpers, I've driven past here a million times, but the tiny parking lot and neighboring liquor store and pawn shop made me think, "Danger Will Robinson, danger!" I'm glad I finally looked them up on Yelp because our meal was wonderful!

We ordered the penne arrabiata, rigatoni with meatballs, a small pizza and tiramisu for dessert. Our waitress, Harriet, was awesome and the food was delicious! I'm already planning my next meal, which will be the fettucini alfredo. Here's to another 20 years of good food!

Went here to grab a pizza after some Christmas shopping recently, and it was quite good! We got the Agrusa's Special Pizza, which had a little bit of everything. I liked the dough a lot, and all of the ingredients were really fresh and tasty! I especially liked the sausage on the pizza.

I haven't tried anything else here, but the pizza is great! Try Agrusa out!

The food is wonderful and the staff warm and friendly.  My favorite dish is the Baked Ziti.  The pizza is fantastic.  I love the olive oil and garlic sauce!

I was looking for a place to take the kids tonight, as my wife was having a night out with the girls.  My son was feeling like Italian so I did a quick search on Yelp and found Agrusa's.  It was just down from our house on Rosecrans.  It is a whole in the wall kind of place.  The décor is a little dated but functional.  The service was ok, though not anything spectacular.  When asked for what we wanted to drink, I ordered an Ice Tea, my son ordered a sprite, and I ordered a Snapple.  The server had to come back to tell me that they didn't have any.  As an employee of the place, you would think they would know what they had available.  If they didn't have it you should be told when you ordered the drinks that it was not available.  Ehh... no big deal.  My son ordered the kids version of spaghetti with meat sauce.  My daughter had the kids ravioli with meat sauce, and I had the cod with vegetables.  The kids must have liked it because they ate it all.  This is especially surprising, because my daughter is a very picky eater.  My fish was pretty good as well as the vegetables. The price is reasonable. I'm giving this place 3 stars as it is ok overall, but it doesn't wow me.  The final comment in my review is "Do I want to come back here and visit again?"  The answer is: I wouldn't mind coming back, though it would not be my first choice if I have to pick between Agrusa's and another like place.

A fun, quiet local restaurant to grab a bite. I was in the area and decided to give this small restaurant a try.

It is a family-owned restaurant, and you're greeted by one of the family members at the order counter. I had questions about their specials and their menu and they were happy to tell me about it.  Very friendly folks here!

I ordered the lunch special, which included the Ravioli (not home made), salad and garlic bread. Good stuff for like $7+ tax.

I would stop by Agrusa's again if I'm in the area. It's pretty good.

The first time i went here back in 2001 was the foundation of italian/sicilian foods... This started it all, to find a quest for better lasasgna, fettucini and so forth which i did in vinny's italian in la habra...

The alfredo is OMFG.... Nice n thick n buttery. Same consistency since the last time i went in 2009... I always wished this place was open laate so i can swing by on my way home from la...

The only weak part was the parmiagiana... It was pretty bad like microwave chicken bad but i love the food.

This is my favorite place in town for Italian food. Everyone knows that but tonight I had a surprise treat from the daily special. Clams with penne...Ooo La La. Don't eat to much bread, save it for the fantastic sauce this dish comes in. I stop counting after eating 2 dozen clams. What a treat for my taste buds. The clams were properly washed. NO SAND. Sorry I can't say that about every place I've had clams at but I can here. $10.50 WHAT A DEAL! Don't wait it may not last long the specials are ever changing and always fresh. The beer needs to be ice cold but that's minor compared to the daily specials. Oh the map is incorrect. This place is not off Florence in Santa Fe Springs. It's on the corner of Valley View and Rosecrans on the border of La Mirada and Santa Fe Springs.

    Really good food.

I had the minestrone soup. Best minestrone I've ever had. Loaded with veggies, and an excellent savory broth.

The manicotti is delectable. Good red sauce and stuffed with a yummy ricotta/herb cheese blend.

GMIT introduced me to this restaurant. My daughter has good taste, but don't tell her, lest her head swell up.

Ive driven by this place a million times on the way to the Mobil Oil change place, but decided to come in and get lunch last week. The restaurant is small and has the old rustic feel many mom and pop Italian places have in Chicago and NYC.

The owners son told me about the history of the restaurant, traditional Italian dishes and about the Italian community scattered through out the southern California Area. As it turns out, San Pedro has the largest Italian community in the LA area and many Italians ventured out to the SGV, Whittier and OC areas over the years.

The food here is cheap, very cheap for the quantity you get. I ordered the ravioli with garlic bread and tried both the meat sauce and marinara. The red sauce wasn't too bland, but just ok. The meat sauce however, was very good.

The garlic bread was filling and the prices are so cheap.

This is more of a mom and pop place to get food in a casual atmosphere (Think Daphnes Greek Cafe )

The dishes that everyone seems to love the most here are..

    1. Fettuchini Alfredo
    2. Shrimp Scampi
    3. Chicken Marsala

I am giving this place 3 stars for food quality, my dish was good, not over the top "knock your socks off..this is the best Italian outside of Bensonhurst in Brooklyn" ,but still...

With such low prices and large portions, I am giving this place 4 stars.

And as other Yelpers have noted,  I hear amazing things about the Shrimp Scampi sauce!

Save room for dessert, they have SPUMONI: The tri colored Italian ice cream with chocolate, pistachio and cherry flavors in one!

A great little Italian place in the La Mirada/Santa Fe Springs area!

Agrusa's is one of those places that if you don't know what to order, you're gonna hate it. I'll start off by telling you that is in no way authentic italian food. That said, if you know how maneuver around the land mines you'll do just fine.

Avoid anything with red sauce. It's kinda bland and tasteless. Go with either the fettuccini alfredo, the shrimp scampi (side note, if you get the scampi tell them you want your order of pasta in the scampi sauce, that way you can skip the nasty red sauce), or the tomato and onion salad with mozzerella added.

Last time we went for lunch I got their soup of the day, which was a chicken soup (the broth was really bland), with egg and spinach. I sqeezed a ton of lemon into that bowl and it was really good.

The service is always dependable, and when you're out during the day for lunch, that's a concern. They're even pretty friendly. We went for my bosses birthday and they treated us wonderfully.

So just don't get your hopes up too high, that way maybe they can impress you.

I'm a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur. Many have failed the pizza taste test for me, and I am so happy that I found this place.

The large Sausage Pizza I ordered was fantastic. You can tell the sausage is hand picked. The cheese is soooo cheesy.

A tiny bit oily, but thats a good sign.

This definitely is not your typical $5 pizza. and is well worth what i paid for it. Which wasn't much anyways.

Oh, and the lasagna is bomb too :)

Note: Parking is a pain during lunch hours.

I love this place.  I'm a big fan of the small family resturants. You know, the kind of places you see in the small strip malls.  I grew up in Eas Los and that's all the places I ate in as a kid.  This is the Italian version.
The menu is full of dishes you have to try once.  Isn't  that why we are here?  My dish would be the Salt 'n Boca:  Prosciutto wrapped veal, which also comes with a pasta side.  The pasta dishes I've had are really quite good, even the ones with red meat sause.
The service is fun and friendly.
I'll save my harsh words for the places that think they are all that, price it so and really aren't.
It might not fit the authentic mold, but it is better than Olive Garden.

Best Italian food on this side of the Los Angeles suburbs. Quaint location, Sicilian homecooking, just like my grandfather's. My favorite dish is the Penne Arrabiata, the pizza is perfect too. Delicious choices all around, authentic Italian yumminess.

This is not typically the place I would go and eat but its by work and my coworkers go there.  The biggest draw to this place is the price since they have pretty good lunch specials.  If I remember correctly they have a pasta special which includes a salad and drink for 6 bucks.  Its a little on the bland side but still good with enough parmesean.  Also, their personal pizzas are pretty tasty.

All in all, this isnt really a destination restaurant but if you work or live close its worth breaking up the monotony.

I love coming here whenever I'm in town, I used to work down the road and would come here at least once a week. I don't think I've ever tried anything besides the Lasagna, It was so good and addicting I just never had the reason to try anything else. The waitresses here are so nice, you can tell they like what they do and like chatting with the customers. What a great way to spend a relaxing lunch.
