Agnes is amazing. I trust her with even my special jeans.

Agnes is great! I took a dress to her that showed a little too much cleavage, and she tastefully altered it so that you can't tell it was never originally in its current form. She also tailored a skirt that i had bought on sale and is now one size too big so that it fits me perfectly. That's pretty standard tailoring, I know, but the quality of the work was great.

I just brought back two more skirts with tears at the zipper, and a J Crew suit jacket that needed the shoulder pads removed and to be fitted a little closer to my waist. I will update once I get the work back. She also did an excellent job on these, especially the suit jacket.

For each bundle of jobs I dropped off, she said I could pick them up in a week. I was never in a hurry to get them so I don't know what happens if you need quicker turn around. She listens to me and goes through exactly what I would like done, and is fairly inexpensive. Don't be dissuaded by the appearance of the shop. No frills here, just a workshop for her to do her magic on your ill fitting clothing!

Great tailor.  Altered my suit jacket and pants perfectly.  I will go back to her every time.

I like Agnes.  She's simple, quick, doesn't upsell and seems relatively a goof value.  There's no chit chat or yammering about fashion.  If your sleeves are short, she dives in and pins them up... no posturing or debate.  Efficient.

Her shop is bare bones and you're not there to hang out.  She's basically your missing E. European aunt who knows her craft and doesn't want to B.S.

I took a favorite bright red wrap dress to Agnes Tailor shop to be altered and dry-cleaned.  I asked her to tighten the sash around the waist, but not to cut any material in case in needs to be let out later, plus a dry-clean.  I paid up front.

I picked up the dress a week later.  Not only did she cut the sash (exactly what I asked her not to do), but she also added snaps (yes, snaps, not buttons) down the side.  We never discussed snaps.  They are pointless and an eyesore.  Worst of all, the color had been entirely rinsed out.  It looked as if she had tossed the dress into a washing machine.  At first glance, I thought she was handing the dress back to me inside out.  It also had not been ironed.  My disappointment was only exacerbated by her unwillingness to take any responsibility for these mistakes.

    Customers, beware.

Agnes did a great job will an ill-fitting bridesmaid dress that needed a lot of alterations. She was fast and didn't even charge me for the second alteration! I will be going back to her for all my tailoring needs.

Her rates are the best ever.  She is very nice and I will continue to do business with her.
My husband drops his suits and shirts off every week and I've recently been getting her to take in my pants and skirts for work.  Very quick turnaround and not expensive.
I plan to have her alter my bridesmaid dress as well.
    Great customer service!

Go to Agnes!  Or don't, so she doesn't get too busy to do my tailoring.  She is amazing, I'm another bride-to-be who was stunned at the low cost of her alterations (I paid for $270 for significant alterations to three dresses, I was expecting to pay close to that for *one* dress!) and quality of her work.  Plus she's really speedy!

I went to Agnes to get my Dirndle (german dress) tailored for work. I brought it in on a Tuesday and needed it by Thursday morning, so i was short on time and had to put a lot on the line bc it was my only work uniform. Agnes did a great job! The dress was not only taliored weel, but she also cleaned and i had no wait when i went to pick it up. The price was so reasonable and the service was exceptional. My only issue is that i had lost my receipt and needed it get reimbursed for work. I asked for another copy and it kinda turned into this big deal that i thought was unnecessary. regardless, i will still go back for future tailoring needs.

I love this Russian lady! Sorry you had a bad experience Alexandra, because she has done 2 tailoring jobs for me and did great work on both. She did an original hem on a pair of designer jeans (I almost cried when I dropped them off in fear that I'd get them back too short or something, and they are perfect) and she also altered a blouse that had an under and over-layer. Once again, it came out great.

I never paid up front, and she turned both items around in 3 days. Her prices are very reasonable and I highly recommend her!

Love Agnes, I bought a bridesmaid dress for my cousin's wedding without trying it on. Needless to say it did not fit, it was an inch too small. Agnes was able to take out the dress 1 inch 2 weeks before the wedding and I if I remember I think it was only $35. She is amazing.

My hem was not straight after closer inspection, had to knock off a couple of stars for that.

My experience with Agnes Tailor shop was fantastic. After spending around $500 on my wedding dress I was informed by other tailors it would cost between $300 and $600 to shorten the train on my dress. Needless to say I was not going to spend more on the alterations then I did on the dress! Agnes was friendly, the work was flawless, efficient, and best of all she only charged me $50 to fix my dress!

I had my wedding dress taken in at Agnes.  She was very nice. Fast Service.  I got exactly what I wanted... and for $60 for wedding dress alterations? You cannot complain here.

I took a new, ill-fitting but lovely dress to Agnes based on the reviews here and was not disappointed. She did a perfect job on the alternations (took in the bust, waist, hips, and precisely replaced some detail work in doing so) and only charged me $25. It was ready right on time, granted she had it for a week (I wasn't in a hurry). Plus, she's a darling. I'm so glad to have found a reliable tailor in the neighborhood, and will definitely be back.

I dropped off a couple pairs of pants to be hemmed close to closing time (7pm) Tuesday and they were ready Thursday. She did a good job. Price is the cheapest I could find in town at $8 a pair.

I take things to Agnes frequently (mostly repairs and hemming vintage dresses) and they've all come out well. But I was most impressed when I took my beloved vintage leather jacket to her with the lining completely shredded (from both my abuse and whomever wore the coat before me). She re-lined it with perfectly matching fabric and repaired some of the loose stitching on the pockets, and it's beautiful and like new. I highly recommend her!

She was able to take apart and completely rebuild my new coat that was too large for me in many areas. I felt like her rates were reasonable for the amount of work that she had to do and now, I have what is essentially a custom jacket! It was worth the investment.
