I went to the satalite office of Agile PT, FIT.  Fit is located in Los Altos, at 600 Rancho Shopping Center, Los Altos, Ca. 94024.  I worked with Tony, who evaluated my injury, my left knee hurts after about a mile or so on a run, and came up with a plan to resolve the issue.  His approach was very professional, best experience ever.

I have been seeing Jamie for about three months, for an ACL repair. She's great -- does a lot of manual work on my leg, since I have knots and adhesion. She tries various techniques to get the results, and I'm very pleased with the work she does -- I've come a long way from limping around!!

The practice itself is great too -- hour long appointments, large clean open space, and plenty of room and equipment! Everyone who works here is friendly as well.

I am so incredibly impressed with this place that I am sad to leave them. After years of pounding on my body, it was high time to take a trip to the physio office. My doctor gave me a prescription and off I went. I have never had this hard of a time finding a place that takes a Blue Cross PPO. (Agile does not either, which is why, sadly, I had to leave them).

Just to clarify, out of network, I would be paying $120 per visit, 2 times a week for god knows how many weeks. They were nice enough to offer me $75 a visit, but that's still a bit more than I can afford. This is why, with great sadness, I am no longer visiting Agile.

My therapist was Gina, who was very straight forward and to the point. I have to say I was a little scared of her at first, but then I really liked her. I also realized that she genuinely cared. That became even more obvious after she called me a couple days after I cancelled all my further appointments to see how I was doing and to give me a list of good physio's that would work with my insurance.

Oh the pain. The amount of pain that I went through on the table reminded me a bit of the acupressure that I was subjected to when I was 12 years old and twisted my ankle to the point that I couldn't put it down on the ground. Ok, it wasn't that bad, but there were tears in my eyes. But, shockingly, the pain was relieved by the time my hour was up.

I wish I could stay with them, but the price is a bit high

I've been to three physical therapy centers in the last two years and Agile is far and away the best of the three.

During my appointments, I got the undivided attention of my therapists (I had several over the course of six months), who pushed me as hard as a personal trainer but were responsive and attentive when I described my symptoms and experience.  The therapists here did great deep tissue and stretching work and I found their evaluations and diagnoses to be thorough. The facilities are conveniently located and well-kept.  They also provide group classes for later stages of rehabilitation.

The only reason this isn't a five star review is that there were a few times that I felt the "push-through-the-pain" mentality was taken a little too far for my personal situation.  I have a chronic pain condition and I've since discovered it's very important for me to not induce pain (in joints, sore muscles are fine) while exercising.

In my long haul to get my knee to work again, this stop helped me improve more so than any other so far.

So after a partial hamstring avulsion and broken ankle, I made my way to physical therapy.  Highly recommended, Agile has proven to be a great place for physical therapy because the qualified personnel spend an hour working with patients, equipment, and atmosphere.  From physical training and fitness exercises to hands on message and treatment, they do it all.  I went to Los Altos branch because of its location being closer to work, and have been satisfied with their service thus far.  Tony is my physical therapist and I highly recommend him to anyone that has suffered a sports related injury.  Although I have only been going now once a week for a month, I can see noticeable improvements.  The only thing stopping me from a 5star is its price.  But if you believe in you pay for what you get.  You'll really get here.
