I definitely want to go back and buy something but window shopping was pretty fun in and of itself. It's definitely pricey but the store definitely lives up to its name.
Also the staff was super friendly and gave great advice on lingerie items period. -

ah, such $exy $tuff. don't go in unless you're prepared to fall in love with the lingerie and pay to take it home with you. i merely dipped in on my way home just to see what the fuss is about and ended up dropping $560 (of my boyfriend's $) on one thong, one bra and one slip.
the staff is friendly, kinda kitschy with the nurse outfits. the lady who helped me was attentive and brought me a ton of options. i never actually looked around the store, just trusted her judgment.
i deduct one star because the dressing room had a curtain instead of door. that is normally fine, but lots of men were there when i was and when i peeped my head out to ask for something I would have preferred for a strange man not to see me in sheer lingerie...
and i would've appreciated more mirrors in the dressing room.
Oh, and when I was leaving, some man, apparently just a fan of the shop and staff, stopped in to "say hey" to his "favorite ladies." erm, creepy!

Having visited the one on Melrose in LA, I honestly did not expect to see one of their stores when I turned a corner in SoHo---score!
I love that they have super sexy yet durable stockings! I probably came off as the non targeted audience of this type of store, but this place definitely has stuff for the petite ladies such as myself, so bras don't come off falling off a girl's shoulders or stockings that will make a girl under 5'5" like moi look sexy and taller!
The only downsize is this store is so teeny tiny, but it packs a punch! Love it.Listed in: First time to NYC?

I love this store.
The lingerie that they carry is top notch and SUPER sexy. Every time I've been in the store, the service has also been incredibly friendly. They have a huge selection- something for every mood! if you're looking for something I'd definitely come into the store.
Such a stellar review and why only 4 stars? Well, if you're looking for something in particular, don't call them over the phone. I've had several unpleasant and down-right rude salespeople take my phone calls and it's a shame. I'm obsessed with the lingerie, but when I get bad customer service in any form, it makes me like it just a little less. For the price of the underwear, I should get good customer service all around.
Props for keeping the store so nice and friendly. Work on your service over the phone. -

Finally, a luxury lingerie line which carries smaller sizes!
Have been frustrated by the search for beautiful 30-band bras, but not only did Agent Provocateur just begin carrying them, they fit perfectly! Some lines for petites have wacko fits, so this is unusual. Of course, they are all absolutely stunning as well - yet another item for my wish list.
Sales associates were great. Was assisted and asked if I wanted to try on anything although I had already explained that I was just browsing. Was given the names of the styles I liked for future reference.
Beautiful products, wide variety of sizes, great customer help - what's not to love? -
Review from Yan F.
Super wonderful lingerie. I love this lingerie brand. Unique styles and designs that make you wish you can buy every piece of lingerie they have in their store. The cut of their lingerie are skimpy (not that it's a bad thing) and is great for every body frame.
With that said, their lingerie are definitely on the classy, sexy side and it's good for dressing up or for your special someone. :-) It's pricey but the items are one-of-a-kind and it's very impressive with what they can come up with with two elastic strings. :-) It is also good quality lingerie too and you won't find these mass produced.
Every woman should own at least one piece of lingerie from here or at least visit here once in a while. Don't be surprised that by wearing a piece of lingerie from here, you can set sparks on fire. -

I had forgotten about this store, then just happened to wander by one wintry day when I was roaming around Soho. This is one boutique that will make you wish you had a rich sugar daddy who likes to dress you in sexy finery. The lingerie here is designed to have you sizzling and and steamy, without looking seedy. This is high end boudoir frillery, with the prices to match. Come in expecting to drop cash --but the upside is that you know jaws will drop when you parade your finery. Or if you are like me and just like to look at lovely things, visit the place to admire the pretty, delicate pieces(not the sales ladies, dudes. I meant the clothes) that will make you sigh and wish you had a trust fund and could spend your days lounging in the bedroom.
The salespeople are helpful without being intrusive. You can get good bargains during the sales, but be forewarned, quality is not cheap.
My wallet was happy the piece I wanted was sold out and the other one I desired was in a stratosphere higher than my budget. Hey, a girl can dream, can't she? -

I adore AP. Sexy but not trashy lingerie is always key. I also love their corsets, waspies and garter belt panties to hold up their sexy back seamed stockings. I am totally addicted to their back seamed stockings because they are silk and feel amazing and look totally hot.

It would be five stars if the people there were more helpful.
It's four stars because Agent Provocateur gives a girl unbounded leverage.
Mwahahahaha. Evil and sinister laugh fades out...
Everything is extremely beautiful. I justify the prices by thinking, "Well, at least I don't have to buy a car in Manhattan." It's that expensive.

I was beyond thrilled when I stumbled upon this SoHo Boutique - I thought AP was only in London! As I have had a longtime obsession with their website (truly one of the best of all time), I simply had to try on a few things.
AP makes some of the best lingerie around, for a number of reasons:
1. Unique. La Perla is nice, but it's not exactly new. AP is new on the block, and has, in my opinion, a more modern/stylized product line better suited to younger women (though the older ladies can rock their stuff too, I have no doubt).
2. Great quality, in design, craftmanship, and fabric. A majority of their items feature high-silk blends, which feel so much better on the skin than typical polyester satins. The stitching is immaculate. AP offers a wide variety of items - bras, panties, girdles, corsets, garters, sleepwear, hosiery - which range from sexy to classy to practical to fun. There's something for everyone here, and the colours! Wow.
I must however, note that like virtually all lingerie, the underwire bras really do not work for those of us who are small breasted (small B and below). Fortunately, AP offers a broad selection of soft cups styles which provide perfectly adequate support.
The saleswomen, dressed in delightful pink dresses to match the equally feminine decor, were friendly, knowledgable, and in the end, quite helpful. I waltzed out with a lovely matching set of bra and panties - fuschia silk with cream mesh soft cup bra and matching cream mesh panties with fuschia silk ties. I am fairly sure these will have an excellent effect on the lucky male who gets to views these luxuries. -

This place is just whatever. Yes they have cute matching sets and loads of sexy panty hose but the store is small, staff is not very helpful.

Hello, lover.
Like most girls in the world, I seem to have a thing for shoes, clothing, and yes, lingerie. What can I say? There's something about a throwback to stockings and lace with that hint of glamor and mystery. It's a secret, it's sassy, and it makes me feel good. Not to mention, you gentlemen get wagging tongues at the mention of this little word.
Agent Provocateur plays into this little game. It's dirty and pretty and mischievous in its own right (the brainchild of Vivienne Westwood's son). The lingerie ranges from the sweet girl-next-door-demure to the femme fatale, burlesque bad gal. In other words: delicious.
It's a small store with a large price tag and I was a lucky gal that won a gift certificate. So, like any intelligent individual, I went to town. I loved the bras I purchased (great quality, of course), but my favorite snag has to be a pair of black stockings. It's simple really: they're thick enough not to rip or pull but so light and airy at the same time. Oh, and they look pretty hot, too.
The store itself is like being inside a giant Parisian boudoir - there's leather, pink, and lots of lingerie. The fitting rooms do not have any doors, just some thick curtains. A word for the wary: the sales girls will pop in and see how you're doing. You might feel like an exhibitionist, but they're harmless.
The sales girls were very helpful and smartly dressed (they prance around in AP uniforms). The sizing here is inconsistent considering the materials used, so do get yourself fitted. Not to mention, the sales girl that helped me was knowledgeable about the brand and fit, so she brought me items that looked good and fit well.
Besides lingerie, there's other sweets to ogle over: perfume, heels, erotica toys, and some sleepwear.
There's seasonal sales and do get yourself on the mailing list - there's goodies for subscribers, too.
My only gripe? There wasn't enough money on my gift card to get all of the lovely things I saw. (And I ended up going over, too.) -

The sexiest most gorgeous lingerie. It comes with a pretty heavy price tag, but is very well made. I love the retro-feeling of the lingerie they sell here.

Beautiful boutique... but I always feel so intimidated when Im in there.. mostly because theres hardly anyone else shopping. The gorgeous salesgirls in their sexy uniforms dont make me feel any better either... and in fact, I morph into a stumpy little troll who is desperately hiding her flat chest behind her purse!
The lingerie here is super nice and super expensive... but its definitely worth checking out when they have sales.
I don't know if it was me, or their staff is just way too eager to help, but I had a girl creep up to my changing room and fling open the curtain to see how I was doing, while I was trying some stuff on! And, as president of the itty bitty titty committee.. you'll have a better chance finding your size on their website if you're not as well endowed. The smaller sizes at the store sell out fast! In fact... im not even sure if they carry them at all... -
Review from Dana F.
Girls everywhere are probably going to hate me for saying this, but I don't understand why a girl would buy lingerie to impress her boyfriend, husband, S.O., etc. Dude. Let's be serious for a minute. Most guys I know couldn't tell the difference between a $150 AP bra and $10 bra from H&M. Not to mention the fact that most guys I know are more interested in getting your clothes off, could care less about what you're wearing, so your little $300 set should be on the floor in 0.5 seconds.
Now, I'll probably sound like a hypocrite: AP lingerie is beautiful and sexy, yet tasteful and classy. Vivienne Westwood's son designs everything, so it must be amazing by default. It's not kinda granny-ish like La Perla and not tacky with 4 inches of padding like VS. I loved it when Kate Moss was featured in the advertising campaigns. What I don't understand is how Kate, who is tinier than me, could fit into any of the stuff. Even the smallest sizes are big and falling off. That's probably a defect of my body and not the product though...
Anyway, the salesgirls are gorgeous and really helpful with fittings and whatnot. The store is small and relatively empty, so you can expect them to be really attentive and brutally honest. They kind of just barge right on in on you, adjust you, bring on other things to try on. Which I'm completely cool with. There are a lot more styles than are on display, a lot of the stuff is stowed away in drawers. The stockings are amazing and very affordable for the quality. Everyone raves about the sales, but unless you're a D cup, don't expect to find anything.Listed in: The Breakup List, High Maintenance

TSMA had some time (and bread) to spare, so we paid a midday visit-- he was in town for a tasting-- to The Sexiest Lingerie Shop Ever, where I snagged a lacy black bra and matching accoutrements: ribbon side-tie bikini, garter belt (my first), and micro-fishnet stockings. Sales staff is shockingly friendly and wildly helpful-- so much so that I'm not docking any points for their initial suggestion that I try size Medium knickers (I'm a size 2; the pink-clad sales angels quickly changed their tune after I stripped down).
Perfectly conceptualized and impeccably marketed, with solid product to match. When my net worth is improved, I'll shop nowhere else for my underthings. La Perla is wonderful but a bit boring. -

Wow my future boyfriend is a lucky guy. If only he knew.
As soon as I have ANY slightly justifiable excuse (and this could be anything from like rewarding myself for ____________ - fill in the blank - to a hot boyfriend who is very deserving) I am going to shell out the mega bucks to buy a HOT lingerie thing here. In fact, the only reason I'm restraining here is because I just spent $300 at Le Petit Coquette on functional underthings. I hear the things here are slightly less functional but let me tell you they are GORGEOUS!! And they have sizes for EVERYONE!
Let me tell you a little bit about why this sexy place is like a magnet drawing me in. The walls are pink, the furniture is black. The walls are lined with detailed, fashioned bras and panty sets - with everything fro the adorable to the sultry....and EVERYTHING looks divine. The girls working there wear these buttoned up dresses that they just look like they want to burst out of (that's the look - like a hot nurse's uniform but in pink) and they have tape measures to measure and size you in the boudoir type fitting rooms. Again, they take pride in working to meet every buxom girl's needs. Of course, you do have to pay the price. I saw bras for three and four hundred dollars... though I think $150 is more of what one will typically run you.
Also, the place sells like little whips and gloves and sexy accoutrements. There are also lovely stockings - like the ones with the seam on the back and the thigh highs with black satin bows at the top.... hot hot hot. So, yeah, don't tell my future boyfriend, I want it to be un grande surprise.Listed in: Shopping List, SoHot Right Now, You Fancy, Huh?

Before Kiki de Montparnasse opened up (best lingerie/accessories in NYC) and before Coco de Mer (best lingerie/accessories on the planet) started shipping to the USA, Agent Provocateur was the shizzzz.
Now, I just drop by to pick up the seamed garter stockings, which are very old-fashioned and unlike anything you can get anywhere else. Real silk, no elastic/spandex content, truly antique in construction and materials!
The rest of the stuff, though, I mostly bypass. It is a little bit too "normal" to be appealing. It's like... Agent Provocateur : Victorias Secret :: Brooks Brothers : Gap. More expensive, higher quality version of essentially the same. Basically equivalent fancypants are available at Vickie's for $15, versus $150 at AP. Whereas Kiki & Coco directly channel the 19th century in style, materials and workmanship, and there is nothing comparable to their offerings at any price, or any place. But AP remains the only place that brings the contemporary world those amazing stockings.
Gorgeous luggage, too. -

- fabulous wear and style if you can afford it
- almost impossible to spend less than $75
- their bras aren't particularly practical, but every girl should have some pretty frilly things in their closet
- the salesgirls can be a bit overzealous, ie - they've never once knocked before coming into the dressing room while I was trying on the undergarments, however are still very pleasant and knowledgeable -
Review from Renee m.
you can easily walk past this store, if you do not know what goodies lie inside....
The sales girls are uber helpful and cute...they have the knowledge to help you pick out the best outfit for whatever occasion.
I came here with a GF of mine to pick out the perfect outfit for a lingerie party...went in with no expectations...not only did our saes girl Gloria find me the perfect corset and matching undies...all of the pieces there are unique and have a very vintage funk feel to them...this ain't your typical vanilla lingerie...for that go to VS or La Perla....this is for girls who dare to be different and are not ashamed of what their Mama gave em....
Now now ladies and gents the iems here are not cheap...so be prepared to drop some serious moohlah....but its so worth every penny...even if you have to eat ramen and crackers for the next few months.... -

the only reason AP doesn't get 5 stars is because it's too expensive for me to own! I first got hooked on admiring this lingerie via their gorgeously designed website ( http://www.agentprovoc... ) the models and the scenes they use to take pictures of their product is so over the top it is basically soft porn! And leave it to the Brits to never air brush out a nipple!
I love visiting the store and coveting the beautiful pieces. Sales do happen though, and then the stuff IS affordable...I think the big on-line sales often coincide with the store sales so when you see them head on down to Soho and try some of these pretty things on!
Ohh...I had a similar experience to Wendy L. (sales girl peeping in on me) I am not the bashful so I didn't mind - in fact her knowing eyes helped me to really find a bra that fit - but if you don't want the naughty nurses throwing the curtain back you'll have to figure out a way to let them know. -
Review from Ana B.
Pricey lingerie, but it's exquisite and beautiful. It's definitely worth the money, specially if they have a sale.
However, please note that they do NOT carry anything over a size D. I'm a size G and unfortunately could not buy anything here even if I wanted to.
Staff was very friendly and approachable. They made some bra suggestions to try on, but these suckers would not fit into any of their bras.
Sucks. -

In my dream world, I live in a beautiful, vintage two bedroom apartment. The second bedroom is my dressing room, complete with an antique vanity and dresser. And in that dresser, which is lined with pink, lavender scented paper, is a bunch of frillies from AP.
The price tag is definitly a killer, but you can get super lucky with sales here. I've never looked as good as I do in their bras. I've heard that they are opening a store in Chicago and the uniforms are so cute that I want to drop out of law school, work there, and exploit my discount.
I'm only half kidding. -

San Francisco, CA
Yes, it's beautiful lingerie... on the plastic mannequins with all their plastic parts. However, on a woman's softer-than-plastic body, these bras have a way of making parts look misshapen.
Maybe it's my fault for thinking that one should be able to wear nice lingerie *under* clothes, and not just before bed, but I really don't get it. The two bras that I ever bought there were so beautiful that I let them sit in my lingerie drawer for two years before I donated them, but they were uncomfortable, unsupportive, and unflattering under clothing. In the end, I had to make space for the prettiest and most flattering brand I've found so far--Aubade. -
Review from Jess L.
AP has a bit more of the sexy/punky lingerie look. They have a good selection overall, but most pieces are black and a bit more on the sexy side (versus flirty). The people here weren't too intrusive. There's a decent range of prices, but overall, the quality and price are on the higher end.

Santa Monica, CA
Expensive, sexy, an experience.
I went there knowing that the NY store was sort of the AP warehouse, and that pretty much anything you were looking for was there. Imagine my surprise when I walked in and it seemed spartan, like an art gallery of lingerie. Their mannequins are placed so unobtrusively around the store that I apologized to one once when I bumped into it, as I assumed it was a person.
That is where the incredibly helpful (and sexily attired) staff comes into play. They magically pull every possible line you are looking for from some secret knickers room, constantly giving you glamorous pieces in every color or cut imaginable. They also have garter belts available for almost every line, and I love that since I think pantyhose are one of mankind's worst inventions.
I loved it, I felt like the most important person in the store when dealing with my salesperson. I mean, you could ostensibly die in a fitting room at Victoria's Secret and no one would notice, but here my extremely helpful attendant would pop in to see how I was doing (thankfully I wasn't having an overly modest day) which I thought was great.
Their undergarments are pricey, but oh so worth it. I lucked out in that I walked into the middle of a sale, and so now I have both a lovely Veronica and Francoise set sitting beside me in a sexy pink bag.
They just get sexy down -right-, toeing that line between raunchy and demure and vintage and hot.Listed in: Get Your Sexy On

Gorgeous, sexy underpinnings that will reinforce the fabulous in you!
The hip and sexy staff are very helpful, and eager to help find the best fit. Each range tells a different fantasy or story, filled with a cheeky combination of colors, silks, taffetas, and trims. True, not all the bras are suited for clingy sweaters, but that is what T-shirt bras are for. And these are NOT pieces for wallflowers. Expect to get comments from the man in your life - and the ladies in the gym locker room.
BTW, it wasn't until Agent Provocateur landed Stateside with its signature pink and black that Victoria's Secret started using the two colors together or any other bolder pairings.Listed in: Born to Shop

Sex sells, and at this Soho boutique, it sells for a LOT of money. I once said that any man who would think to buy Agent Provocateur lingerie as a gift for me, I would marry; not b/c I am particularly fond of lingerie, but because everything here, down to the quality of the tissue paper they use to wrap your purchases in, is perfectly thought out..and just plain beautiful. And any guy who will spend $300 to wrap your boobs up in something that sexy either really loves you or just really loves your boobs!
In my next life I want to come back as one of the babes that work here..in their cute little pink "nurse meets 50's beautician meets diner waitress" with cleavage to the moon, these girls just emulate SEXY. -

Screw Vicki's Secret and Frederick's. Agent Provocateur is DA BOMB.
Now, this review isn't for the New York store. Hell, I've never even been there before. However, I have been enthralled with AP for some time and as a recipient of an amazingly sexy lingerie set (for Christmas!), I have to say that their wares are worth every cent.
My man gave me a set from the Talma line from the LA Story collection. 1950's pin-up queen replicas in navy and fuchsia (although the fuchsia isn't overwhelming.) This set is really well made, in beautiful silk taffeta. Honestly, I have never worn any underthings that were so sensual and beautiful. So, when I got this, surprised and amazed doesn't even begin to describe how psyched I was.
Not only that, when you order something, they send this little book with the order that is really hot. Its like a catalogue of sorts, with a story and gorgeous pictures. Favorites from the book include two little maids stuck together in a Japanese rope bondage type scenario and the "Lady of the Manor" looking languidly into the camera with a martini in hand. Everything that I have ever considered sexy comes from AP. Enough said. -
Review from Irene F.
Ditto, Joolie, ditto. I like that they have some sexy sexy lingerie for girls with boobies!! Kate moss looks good and all, but my big girls need some loving too, you know?
This stuff is HOT. Seriously. Who cares if it's practical (some of it obviously is) when it's that freakin HOT? I almost want to do myself when I put on some of those things, but I wait til i get home don't worry. -

So I'm starting to realize that I'm an AP addict....I've shopped in the Vegas, SF and London store and I have a hard time leaving empty handed. On this particular visit I left with two very lovely fitting bras and a pair of sexy little knickers. The sales girl that helped me was very nice and had no problem bringing in three different sizes of the same bra to get me the right fit (sizing is very inconsistent) What I love about AP is the quality, style, and well, I always feel like a sex kitten when I have it on.
The only thing I don't like about this particular location is that the dressing rooms are lined up in the back of the store, so when you open the curtain you're exposed to the whole store. In the other locations, the rooms are towards the back but face each other so there's a bit more privacy. -

All I wanted was a pair of silk stockings!
Going on a Saturday afternoon in SoHo was not the best idea...
Super crowded, though this is probably attributed to:
1. post holiday sales still in effect
2. it's in SoHo
3. it's Saturday
Cute stuff (not on sale), ok sale stuff (if you are a 38D or like hot pink), very LA and much better IN LA...even if you have to drive and park to get there. -

New York, NY
Your mom always said to wear clean underwear in case you got into a car accident. (At least mine did.) But if you want better care when you get to the hospital, wear something from A.P. Everything is sexy, only about 50% is practical. (Did you know that there are bedroom-only bras? I thought the point of being in your bedroom was that you did not have to bother?) The store is posh. And unlike some other prolific underwear chains in the city which only seem to cater to Brazilian models with C-cups or greater, A.P. has sizes for everyone, gifted or otherwise (or less). And don't be intimidated by the glamorous salesgirls in lab coats and what must surely be nice underwear underneath... they are extremely nice, non-judgemental, and can not be shocked. But buyer / tryer beware: there is no privacy in the dressing rooms. They walk in unannounced to adjust, fit, push up, pull down, and otherwise make you look fabulous, without a treadmill in sight.
All this of course comes at a price. So goodness, if for some horrible reason, you do end up in the Emergency Room Trauma Bay in your A.P. knickers, don't let the trauma team nab them with their trauma shears. -

luxurious, daring, sexy, and... alluring. the window display alone draws you in. besides makeup/beauty products- lingerie happens to be my other obsession. go figure. tasteful lingerie at its best, i tell you.
kate moss is the current front woman for the company. she looks amazing in the "dream" promo commercials and ads. i simply love them UK designers! sure- i can't afford all that fabulous lingerie- but it's nice to splurge on yourself once in a while. their sizes don't discriminate the bustier ladies like myself... besides, doesn't a laced bra look fabulous on a voluptuous frame anyway? heheh. -

As far as I know, there are two good lingerie shops in NYC, and they both have French names. They are not, of course, French, but we are fine with good quality borrowing our language for better marketing.
I wish I could be brief but Agent Provocateur deserves a proper review. It's probably my favorite shop in the world (even though my credit card hates it).
Agent Provocateur is designed by Joe Corre (son of Malcolm McLaren & Vivienne Westwood) and his wife Serena. This has three major advantages:
a) the man's parents created punk, which gives the lingerie some kick-ass kind of humor
b) his mum is La Westwood --- he cannot afford a bad rep for bad quality
c) the ranges are conceptualized by a couple, rather than by a woman (like Fifi or Chantal Thomass) or a man (like all the vulgar stuff in porn shops).
The lingerie that comes out of it is hot. But it's also gutsy, playful, shocking, hilarious, innovative, and it will last forever.
Whether you girl likes cute outfits, fluffy shoes and bubble bath, whips, rhinestone handcuffs and nipple pasties, or silk, suspenders and old-fashioned nylon stockings (yes, with the seam), A.P. is where you want to go. Not because it's one of those cheap "sexy lingerie" stores. Just because A.P. sees sex as fun, and celebrates it with humor, quality and style. One of my favorite accessories of theirs is a black silk blindfold that says something like " Hold me, touch me, suck me, fuck me like the bitch that I am and get the fuck out". In pink, bien sur. You get the spirit.
The boutique cannot be missed ---it's where the traffic is slowest in SoHo, with cars constantly breaking down in front of the store window for some reason. Agents appropriately matched to the fabulous pink and retro dcor are there to greet you --- and they are more than willing to help you find what you need while you try not to fall in love with them. If you feel too self-conscious going there, they have opened a stand at Bloomingdales -it's easier to pretend you're there for something else (oh the amount of men walking by 5 times in a row, "looking for their wives"...)
If you are not sure your girl will like the place, take a girl buddy first. If you feel she may be a little destabilized by the lingerie, get her the bubblicious bubble bath or one of the perfumes --- she will feel intrigued and most likely will want to go there with you that week. Don't randomly get her an ensemble please --- she won't be able to return the brief and will have to pretend she likes it even if she doesn't. If you don't know her size or taste, just get a gift card, and go with her when she is in the mood. I promise you will get laid that night.
You may have heard of Agent Provocateur because of the controversial Kylie commercial, or Kate Moss's new "Miss X" role in the A.P videos. Or because of John Turturro's Romance & Cigarettes, where Kate Winslet plays is an A.P girl.
Yes. It's glamorous, and expensive. But hey, she' worth it, right?
