Last night we had a less than great experience and the more we talk to friends and family in the nighborhood-the more I am coming to realize that I am going to need to find another "old trusty" type of sanwich shop in the Smithfield area.

I caLled in a pick-up order and had to give it three times to a gentleman who kepts saying to me that he did not understand what i was asking for...(three hot weiners with only meat sauce and celery salt and a grilled veggie wrap.....um...yeah) so he hands the phone to another guy who says, "i am sorry ma'm he doesn't speak english....how can i help you. I proceed to repeat my order and he wants to ask me what other toppings I want on the hot weiners...mustard, oninons. I repeat-no thanks only meat sauce and celery salt twice...he then asks if I want ketchup on them......ugh!!!! I am getting really frustrated at this point.

He then proceeds to go through the veggie list that is typically on a grilled veggie..yes every single veggie. I respond to each question with Everything please...all of the veggies please...THERE IS NOT A VEGGIE THAT YOU SHOULD NOT PUT ON THERE!!!!

Finally...exhausted yet truly hopeful that my order will be perfectly executed, we arrive for pick-up.

The hot weiners were loaded with meat sauce.....and mustard.
The grilled veggie was missing my requested lettuce and tomato.
WRONG WRONG AND WRONG

Sadly I cannot return...I just don't have it in me.

It was my first bad experience here. Some may label me dramatic or even an impulsive traitor to my once proclaimed "old trusty shop"  and yet my expectations will remain high for all of my favorite spots. It only takes one time and this my friends was agean's one time.
