came here after work w/ a bunch of coworkers for happy hour, waiter/bartender took our drink order and left for the end of his shift... didn't bother to write the order up and pass onto his coworker just starting his shift... nice fella : / ..Our new bartender was really great and took care of us, one of the lovely ladies in our groups b-day was that weekend and he hooked her up w/a couple tasty b-day shots and that was pretty fun..
we didn't eat, but the chips and salsa wasn't bad, and decent margaritas..
dining area was pretty packed, I'd come probably come in to try their menu sometimeListed in: Middle Of the Road

The location of this place has changed about 5 times so hopefully agave can hang in there.

Went here for lunch. Food was good, service was fast, decor was wonderful. Convenient parking, super clean establishment.
The owner came out, chatted a bit and introduced himself when our entrees came out.
Large menu with many items you don't see often. Much more than just generic combo plates with an enchilada and a taco.
Tucked to the side was a neat little bar with signage for some cool happy hour deals, margaritas, etc. -

i love love love what they have done with this place, first off. they took a pretty crusty old building, and made it sparkle. The owners are so nice, and the food! Oh my goodness. it is presented in a very nice manner like you might find in a fancy place but it isn't super pricey or snobby. And the food is very very good. Definitely different than your everyday mexican combo plates (they have those too), but they have a very creative menu.
I love the bean dip they bring with the chips and the service is excellent. -

Not a surprise this place is now closed. The bar may have been ok, I didn't check it out...but the dining area left a lot to be desired. With tile floors and lots of open space, it felt like you were eating in an airport, and the food wasn't much better than that. I felt bad for them, because the owner was super nice and obviously trying very hard. It was one of those things where you tell them that it was good just because you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Unfortunately for them, maybe more honesty is what they needed. However, I can't understand how anyone who has spent any time in California could honestly look at this place, let alone eat there, and not come up with many areas for improvement. It's a moot point now.
