Review from Heather N.
Augusta, GA
I think the food here is ok. The guacamole is yummy but the real reason I get in my car and drive here is the Strawberry Basil Margarita. The other margaritas are tasty as well, but the cool, refreshing taste of the Strawberry Basil was excellent this summer while sitting in their outside patio. Ahhhh, good times!

Review from Lauren R.
A friend and I randomly decided to try Agave one Saturday night around 6pm.
We got into the restaurant and were seated right away, at probably the worst table in the restaurant. It was a random table by itself right in front of the entrance to the bathrooms. Everyone entering/leaving the bathrooms would have to walk by our table. It felt like our table just stuck out. We saw a busboy cleaning off a booth table and my friend went to the hostess to ask if we could sit there. Before the words even came out of my friend's mouth, the hostess cut her off and told her the table was for people with reservations. Who makes reservations at Agave? But whatever, we stuck it out at our crappy table.
Our waiter finally came to us and asked us what we wanted to drink. I would have been able to tell him if we had been given a drink menu when we were seated. Apparently the hostess must not have thought we were of age. Either way, I think we should have been given a drink menu. I asked the waiter for a drink menu and he brought it over. He came back after a few minutes and we ordered our drinks - the waiter, who is most likely under 21, said, "I'm going to have to see your IDs." Ok, fine. He checked them and said, "I could have sworn you guys were 19 or 20."
Now..people tell me all the time that someday I will be happy to hear that. Maybe that will be true in about 25 years, but right now, it gets god damn annoying. I'm 24 and my friend is 27....she was a bit offended by it. I just get annoyed but I'm used to it by now, I get carded at the damn movies.
Anyway..we got our drinks and ordered the guacamole. The kid came and made the guac and it was actually really good. I ordered 1 chicken enchilada and 1 beef enchilada and my friend ordered a chicken burrito. The food came out and it looked pretty good.
Each of our meals was served with rice and some kind of black bean soupy mush. My chicken enchilada was very good, but the beef one was a bit spicy. The rice was nothing special. The black bean mush was actually really tasty, but maybe they could try to make it look a little more appetizing.
I think I would try Agave again...besides the crappy table and peanut gallery comment from the waiter about our ages, the food was decent. -
