Review from Kamni G.
Saturday night before going to our actual destination we stopped in here to grab a drink, needless to say it turned into more than 1. Dirty 6th is a diverse and fun place to go(i think) despite what I have been told.
$3 you call it's minus grey goose(which I love..hmm) anyhow they had stoli so we went to town. The music is controlled by the bartender but he is ok with changing it to whatever is on his playlist.
They do not have the nfl channel, so no dallas game boo! The decor is interesting. The walls are peeling paint and things are look rather old but I still liked this place. I had a good time and left after 3-4 drinks with my friends.
Overall: Would stop in again, -

$2 for any drink including mixed drinks? Open to 2am on a Monday night? A bar where you can play Rock Band? Awesome.
(Gross bathrooms, not so awesome). -

I have been to this bar a number of different occasions, usually to see a friend who is working here or just to check out a band who is playing here. I can't say that it is a good or bad place to go, I can only report on my experiences there.
Located on Sixth Street between Treasure Island and Touche this is a below average Sixth Street bar. It is limited in size, the layout is only average and the facilities are pretty sub par. I can honestly say that the worst drink of my life came from this bar, I still don't know what the hell it was, I know what it was supposed to be though and it was far from that. It was just rancid and nasty, needless to say I didn't finish it.
The last time I was in here there was an awful funk in the air, kind of like baby diapers sitting in the ACL sun baking. It was pretty nauseating.
The music here is decent, I have see a couple of alright bands playing on the small stage. The DJ plays a little more of the harder rap and hip hop than most clubs but it's not terrible.
Overall, this is a below average club surrounded by above average clubs. The drinks haven't been very good in my experience and the place smells funky, which for me is a big turn off.Listed in: 6TH Street Entertainment…

I've only been here twice. On my only 2 trips to 6th street at the request of out of town guests. I like sitting at the one table by the window. Both times I've been here, it has been D-E-A-D. But I like that in a bar. I don't have to worry about someone fulfilling their frottage habits at my expense. Not sure how much I would like it if it were busy. Women's bathroom was a sh_thole though. I mean, if there's no one in your bar, find some time to clean the damn bathroom.
But why do I like it? Why will I go back next time I am forced to go to 6th street? Dollar shots. Yep. I'm that cheap and easy. Dollar shots. That's all it takes for me to give 4 stars. Dollar shots. -

I'm surprised there are any 6th St bars left that haven't been reviewed, but not surprised that it was this one. Agave has a proportionately smaller storefront than the other bars on 6th, and also has less square feet inside as well. When you walk in, you're immediately in the space directly in front of the bar, so there if you want to not be crammed against the wall, you have to walk to the back.
I've had flaming Dr. Pepper shots here and a couple beers. The prices are competitive out of necessity- this place doesn't get as much play as other bars on 6th because it doesn't really stand out, but that's an advantage to a drinker if you want to save a few bucks by the end of the night.Listed in: Buy You a Drank

Ok only getting four stars because it was out numbered females to males, never seen so many females in one club but I luv it :D. Even though it's really small & my date almost got in a fight with another chick the music was good & the back bartender was awesome making fireball shots & a few other wild shoots. The bathroom was small also & floor flooded along with the tiny dance floor, but drinks were really cheap & strong plus did I mention not a sausage fest

This bar didn't wow me. It was lame, nobody was here, it was actually kinda sad and depressing. The door guy was mean to our party. One of my friends looks fairly young, but she's actually well over her mid twenties...he gave her the HARDEST time upon entering. Saying her I.D. was fake. He was so rude about it, and at the end of the conversation, he didn't apologize. Like, seriously?! If you're gonna accuse somebody of something, just to find out that you're WRONG...apologize, doucher! Geeze! Anyways! After we walked in, we just walked right back out. We weren't fond of him, OR his little bartender friend who wasn't showing us any love cause the nasty door guy whispered something into her ear. Never coming here, again. RUDE!

3 stars simply for the cheap-as-hell drinks.
Crowd: high schoolers? o_0 Or maybe they just act like it...
It was pretty dead, got a little bit more crowded as the night went on.
The place itself: old, a little dirty, but not completely ugly.
Summary: good place to go to start your night. Get tipsy cheaply, then head over to some better establishment
