Review from Christine N.
Los Angeles, CA
One of THE best yoga places in town. A local business owned by Phi Truong who has studied yoga for a long time now and has several certificates under her belt. She's a very patient and understanding person and hilarious too!
The center has a BIG studio with two doors, one on the outside and one on the inside that leads to the reception area. The reception area is a cute little area with a desk, couches to sit on while you wait for your class to start, and it also doubles as a gift shop. Some gifts you may find are yoga wear, scarves, yoga mats, meditation beads-- just to name a few. There's also complimentary tea for those who like to sip on something nice and hot before or after a relaxing yoga class.
Upstairs of the center is the Blue Earth Cafe. It's newly renovated so there isn't a menu set yet. But don't fret, because there will be one soon! For now, you can have a seat on some comfy couches or take a step outside to the balcony for some fresh air while sipping that complimentary tea.
There is also a room where you can come and get a massage, but only by appointments.
The class schedules are pretty much the same each week and are listed on a flyer on the reception desk. There's a class for everyone. If you're new to yoga, there's a beginners course. If you like to sweat while you do yoga, there's a hot yoga class you can take. One of the classes offered is a donation class where you donate any amount of money to take the class. Pretty cool, right? And if I can remember, there is also a kids yoga class offered weekly too. All classes are taught by well-trained yoga teachers.
Not only is there public classes, but you could set up private classes with Phi, too. These are set up with her and by appointments only.
Agame also has special events/classes. Some nights can be a dancing night with tribal drums and others have special guests like well-known yoga teachers to come teach a class.
One of the best things about Agame is the people. Always friendly and inviting, you'll never feel out of place. Phi makes sure that the environment's comfortable for everyone. She makes it a point to get to know her clients and I respect her for that.
If my review doesn't have enough information for you, go check out http://www.AgameYMC.com for more information about this place. And if you do decide to try it out, you won't regret it. :)
