This location is similar to the Great Mall location. The only difference is that this location doesn't have tall walls for the employees to climb up on to get things down for you. The only thing I ever shopped for here was GrnAppleTree t-shirts, that have all dissapeared because all of it went on sale and they aren't carrying it anymore. If your looking for Ecko, Famous Stars and Crap, and all those ugly brands, this place is for you. I would never rock that stuff unless I was payed to.

Being the big fan of clothing retailer, Against All Odds, I have been looking forward to the opening of this location for the longest time. I mean, it's Valley Fair, right? How could it not be all over the top and snazzed up to the extreme?
For those who don't know, Against All Odds is one of the premier hip hop/rock fusion apparel chains, peddling the latest and greatest threads to be seen with on the mean streets. With this new incarnation, I realized it would be hard to top the superb branch at Southland (http://www.yelp.com/bi...), but at worst, it would be comparable...
Or so I thought. Instead of the normal, lively, club-like atmosphere of the usual stores, this one seems more reminscent of a boring, drab Miller's Outpost or Pacific Sunwear. Where is the trademark industrial decor and bright lights? How about the live DJ booth, and eardrum blowing bass soundtrack?
What we are presented with is an Against All Odds about 1/3 the size of the others, with absolutely zero character, and a completely limited selection of clothing. All the raw, edgy hip hop designs give way to more bland skate/emo t-shirts and jeans (and don't forget the obligatory wallet chain). In my book, this travesty of a store should be revoked of its Against All Odds branding privileges. I guess Santa Clara just isn't "hood" enough to sustain the real version, so they are left with this poor bastard stepchild.
I am the kind of guy who never wishes ill will on businesses, but I have a hard time believing this place will be around for long. Instead of wasting time and money here, head on downstairs to MetroPark (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) to satisfy all your rock hop needs. And of course, there is always that short trip up 880 to Southland.
