Great place to go to grab dessert and coffee after dinner! They usually have about 8 different flavors of frozen yogurt that you can mix and match along with a smorgasbord of toppings. But if you're not looking for something cold, they also have a small pastry case of impressive looking desserts. It's a cafe as well so they have all the basic coffee/espresso and tea drinks to have with your dessert.
Every time I've been there the staff has been really friendly and it's just a nice atmosphere to hang out and chill with some friends (or alone) as they have some comfortable couches and chairs. I'm quickly becoming a regular! Don't forget to get their frequent buyer card! -

This place has been a great addition to Fed Hill. When I first moved to the area a couple years ago, I always wondered why there weren't any decent ice cream spots in the neighborhood given B'more's sweltering summers (I even schemed randomly about opening my own). Finally someone figured it out. It's clean and bright with a nice selection of rotating flavors and enough toppings to please even the pickiest eaters. All that for less than the cost of a mixed drink makes Afters a winner in my book - plus you can feel relatively healthy since you're eating froyo as opposed to fatty ice cream. My only complaint is the price of their other desserts, which were kinda steep last time I checked ($5+ for small cakes, etc.).
Oh yeah, don't forget to ask for a loyalty card when you go... -

My only problem with this cafe is that the frozen yogurt is so good that I feel like I am being lied to. I love frozen yogurt but this one blew my mind. The flavors were richer then other chain location and the toppings were fresh.
It is in a cute neighborhood too so you can walk around and check out the boutiques.
My favorite flavor was their cookies and cream! -

I will preface this by saying that I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars, but I sadly have to bump it down to 4. Transport was hard though, because the street parking was full up, and I'd like to pay a little less.
The service, however, was quite good, and when I asked for sample cups the cashier held out the container for them and said I could take as many as I liked! The tart is smooth, creamy, and has the perfect balance of sweet and sour.
I went on ahead to try their special orange, and was disappointed as well. I can't insult it too much, though, because I think other customers with different tastes may have enjoyed it more than I did. Same goes for the rocky road and vanilla. When I told the cashier I only wanted 5 cups because I wouldn't try the peanut butter, he told me that it was really good. So I gave it a shot.
I have NEVER liked peanut butter in desserts. I don't even like Reese's that much. But this frozen yogurt was DIVINE. It was a perfect balance of sweetness, peanut butter flavor without overwhelming the concept of frozen yogurt, and had one of the the smoothest textures I've ever tasted. I immediately cranked down the lever and filled my cup with this addicting yogurt.
On top of that, I discovered that an outrageous combination in my head would have me coming back for more. The strawberry yogurt was better than any ice cream version I've ever had. What little room was left in my cup was filled with it. I was extremely upset when I realized all my frozen yogurt was gone! Went back the very next day for more, so maybe this place isn't so good for my wallet. -

My first impression of this place was the actually the bathroom. I was desperately seeking one during that Federal Hill Beats Festival and did not want to drag a toddler and a stroller into a port-a-potty.
The gentleman at the counter was nice enough to let us use the bathroom for free and nice enough to NOT take me up on my offer to pay him a million dollars for the privilege of indoor plumbing.
That aside, we of course had to sample the fro-yo and it was delicious. We got the red velvet and the chocolate which I thought would be overkill but both were very good.
They also offer Illy coffee, a fancy schmancy Italian coffee that I am more used to seeing in the streest of a European cafe rather than on Charles Street in Baltimore. As I was also desperately seeking coffee, I ordered a macchiato that hit the spot and gave me the jolt I needed.Listed in: Have sweet tooth... will…, A journey through a frozen…

We live down the street and are thrilled this place is in the neighborhood. YUM! You can "help yourself" to fro yo and are charged by the weight. The frozen yogurt does not give you the food hangover that you get with Miss Twist ( although I love her! She is awesome) or Baskin Robbins.
Afters is open at nighttime- novel idea, being open at night when the entire neighborhood is home and cannot move their vehicles due to the parking situation. The cupcakery's should take notice.
A+ - thanks Afters Cafe for coming to the neighborhood. -

Afters is bottom line the best frozen yogurt/cafe shop in all of Baltimore. Their committment to customer service is amazing!! I had the worst day after work yesterday and to top it all off it was pouring rain. On a whim I decided to call Afters to see if they would deliver frozen yogurt to my house. They said of course! And didn't want to charge delivery either, they were just too nice!
Their service totally made my day, and I couldn't have asked for a better pick me up. Thanks Afters!! I will recommend you guys to anyone and everyone. -

After's cafe is going to be a Federal Hill gem. Self-serve, and by-the-pound, creamy and delightful yogurt. Can't go wrong with that.
The original tart is not enough balance, not sinfully sweet, not enough to pucker at... The peanut butter was exactly that; buttery, almost velvety. Too rich for an after-dinner treat for me though... I mixed the tart and the cheesecake and found my post-meal nirvana...
Big ups to the loyalty cards...another reason to come back... -

Afters is a welcomed treat to Fed Hill/South Baltimore! Within walking distance of Cross Street Market/main bar and restaurant area. Prices are great on the yogurt & toppings, and coffee drinks are reasonable, as well. Staff is friendly, yogurt flavors change on a regular basis, and they are ALL good!
I think the main highlight for Afters is that it has quickly become a gathering/hang out spot for locals - the couches, table and community information/books available make this local spot super inviting.
Be sure to check out Afters for a great post-dinner treat! :) -

I have lived in the Federal Hill area for over 5 years now and was always disappointed with the fact that there were no true desert places in the area worth going to. With the disgusting hot summer nights that Baltimore brings, its good to have a place within walking distance to satisfy an ice cream craving any given night.
Afters Cafe hits the sweet spot right on with their frozen yogurt. Their primary offering, Afters' fro yo seems to be updated daily with new flavors (mango is the s$#&) and has a crazy amount of toppings. Unlike chains such as Rita's or Coldstone, the fro yo with toppings don't leave you feeling like death. I highly recommend the fresh kiwi and strawberry for a nice change from that "Gotta Have It size double fudge chocolate with a Snickers bar, peanut butter cup, and caramel mixed in" served at Coldstone.
The setup is self-serve where you can create your own frozen fruity concoction for just 45 cents an ounce as of this review. The owners/employees are really friendly and really compliment the trendy, welcoming vibe that the shoppe offers. Other menu items include premium brewed coffee and pastries, both of which are next on my list to try.
Whether it's a quick walk over for some late night fro yo or the perfect treat AFTER dinner (seewhatididthere), After's is a must.

Last year after relocating to Philly and NYC for work and indulging myself at all the froyo franchises: Pinkberry, Red Mango, Sweet Ending, among others--when I came back to Baltimore, all I could think was, "Why doesn't Baltimore have any good froyo joints??" Well, thank you, Afters Cafe, for making this girl's dreams come true! Move over, Mr. Yogato, I no longer have to leave my sheltered life in Federal Hill and venture far for some delicious creamy frozen yogurt!
Afters Cafe, is a great addition to the neighborhood, and not only is the decor inside funky and fantastic but the frozen yogurt is AMAZING! When I visited the store with my fiance, there were four flavors available: original, raspberry, chocolate, and cookies & cream. Like gluttons, we taste tested all four--and each flavor was absolutely fabulous! I decided on the original and raspberry froyo topped with fresh chopped mangos and strawberries. My fiance decided on the chocolate and cookies and cream and I don't know what toppings he added since I was too busy devouring my own froyo---nom nom nom, so good!
I'm already thinking of stopping by Afters on my way home from work, and considering one of my coworkers just completed the Veggie Soup Diet and dropped 8 lbs in a week--I'm thinking I should start my own diet trend that just involves endless bowls of frozen yogurt! -

Frozen Yogurt sold by weight?
All-you-can-top toppings?
Fancy Italian coffee?
Sign me up!
This is Afters Cafe, in Fed Hill. In a modern and friendly environment you can fill your container with one of the different frozen yogurt flavors according to your taste, and cover it in fresh fruit, or many other toppings. You'll pay based on what you get, nothing less, nothing more.
On top of this, they serve Illy coffee (just the best italian brand!).
After a great meal on the Hill, this is definitely the best way to end the experience! -

Delicious!! I came here for a late night dessert when visiting some relatives and it was the perfect place to go.
At first when I was told we were going to get frozen yogurt place, I wasn't super excited. But I was unaware of the "toppings feature", probably the best part. Once you pick your yogurt you get to actually chose your toppings and put as much as you want on there! Now that may get you in trouble at the end because the payment method is based on weight, but they have a good array of toppings to choose from.
The decor is a little bland, white walls mostly, but the staff was super friendly. Definitely a place to check out if you're around the Federal Hill area. -

A great space to hang out on the cozy couches, have a cup of coffee, some yummy bakery things like macaroons or frozen yogurt which yes, you can eat even though it is winter, they have many lovely toppings (I like mochi) and are very very nice. Hurray for Afters Cafe, am glad they are in Federal Hill.

Tutti Fruitti in Columbia has the same concept not sure where this fits downtown. Cyber frozen yogurt does not scream chic.

The one thing I like about Afters more so than the countless other fro-yo places that keep popping up almost daily is that you don't have to choose a size. The yogurt is weighed by the ounce. And you put on your own toppings. So if you're in the mood for a ton of ice cream and a tiny bit of toppings, go for it. If you just want a little ice cream piled high with candy bar toppings, you can do that, too. It's nice to have the option to do it yourself. And the flavors change out on a daily (or weekly) basis, which keeps me coming back. Except when it's freezing cold.

Whenever I am in the federal hill area and I am hunkering for some really good frozen yogurt. The only place that I hit is Afters. Not only can you choose from some really and I mean yummy flavors, but they offer an abundance of yummy toppings from oreo cookies to fresh fruit. Also if frozen yogurt does not float your boat, you can order coffee or some delicious desserts. The decor is very modern, right out of a CB2 magazine for all you crate and barrrel lovers. It is also a great chill spot to go after a nice dinner date or a cool place to take your kids. They also have a punch card as well so just to keep you coming back. The staff is always very friendly and pleasant as well.

What a great addition to the neighborhood! I've been driving to Roly Poly on Calvert to buy frozen yogurt for awhile, but no need to now. Afters has tons of toppings to chose from and offers desserts, coffees, and beverages in addition to yogurt. The place itself is modern yet cozy, the perfect place to chill out and enjoy some fat free yogurt.

Afters has quickly garnered a cadre of regulars. Come in once a week, and they'll chat with you like a long lost friend. It'd bright and warm inside, which makes it OK for a frozen treat even after it gets cold. I haven't tried it yet, but I hear the coffee is to die for.

The best part about this place is that you can get a little or a lot, as it is priced by the pound. Much better than a lot of desert places, where you have to get a giant belly-busting sundae. Good yogart, plenty of unusual toppings like rice krispies treats, and a modern vibe. What's not to like?

I've been there two days in a row, since my friend dragged me in there after the U2 concert. I have never been a big froyo girl, but I am craving Afters all the time. Fortunately, I'm traveling for the next few days, so I will be able to get away before this becomes a habit. I got the cookies and cream and fat free caramel both days, and the fat free caramel is just as decadent as the full fat cookies flavor. They have yummy toppings, including fresh fruit, brownies and M&M's. I can't wait to get back!!!

Great clean ambience. Love the self serve version of these froyo places, such as what they are doing here. Staff is incredibly friendly. Desserts are from Paterissie Poupon, so they are incredibly good. The staff just needs to do their dessert homework a little better: whenever I asked what something was they had no idea.

We go here almost every night. I routinely bring in my 1-year-old daughter, who also lights up whenever we get close. The owner and the cashiers are all really nice and never mind when I give my little girl a few bites of "sample" yogurt. Hey, I always buy something for me and/or my wife. Yogurt is awesome, the toppings are plentiful, and the prices aren't too bad. Their new flavor (Caramel) is my new favorite. Cool environment too.

I love this place. It definitely fills a need for both ice cream/froyo in the area, as well as desserts.
But it goes way beyond that. The self-serve means you get exactly what you want. I love lots of toppings, not paying 50 cents or a dollar for just sprinkles. The fresh fruit is great, and its awesome to have several different kinds. The environment is really welcoming, and comfortable to hang out in. It manages to be family-friendly and yet not overrun with rugrats.
And a shout-out to the employees. They are really the best. Always upbeat, always helpful, they really add to the atmosphere at Afters. Although for me it's often Befores, or In-Betweens. Or just All-the-Times. -

Yogurt is good--the original flavor isn't as tangy as some others, but is good. The peanut butter and chocolate flavors taste like ice cream (much to my boyfriend's relief). Lots of toppings to choose from and the staff is nice. They have a dessert case with some awesome pastries...if you aren't in the mood for ice cream, you'll be able to find something.

I've waited years for a frozen yogurt place to open within walking distance of my house and FINALLY Afters is here! We go there at least once a week (usually more often) and it's always delicious. The staff is helpful and friendly and the yogurt is fantastic!

Wonderful frozen yogurt, with both sweet and tart varieties. We've liked the red velvet, vanilla, and tart plain. Nice touch to have the Patisserie Poupon pastries in a case if its a cold day or you're the person in your group who isn't a fro-yo fan. Haven't tried the coffee yet, but the fact that they carry Illy espresso is a good sign. The staff is really nice and they're trying (and succeeding) to make a mark in this competitive neighborhood.

Afters is a great addition to Federal Hill because it is one of a few places that are open late. The only other self-serve frozen yogurt place I have to compare it to is Frozen Yo in DC. Afters offers a much smaller selection with anywhere between four to six flavors of yogurt, but the fresh fruit toppings are a real treat. The seating in Afters is great because in addition to small tables, they have some comfortable couches near the front. The decoration is modern with the modular magazine shelf. But I am not sure what category the area rug that looks like Swiss cheese falls into.
