Sweet and pretty dentist, very gentle and kind even though I hadn't been to a dentist in 5 years! Nice view of the city from the chair as well :)

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Afsoon. She cares so much about her patients and the work she does for them, and seems to always be available when you need help, including weekends and evenings. She is also just a very warm and sweet person that you become friends with right away. I feel really fortunate to have found such a great dentist so close by to my apartment. She was also able to get a periodontist to deal with my gums and do all the follow up on the procedure right in her office. I fully recommend Dr. Afsoon. She is also reasonably priced and accepts all sorts of insurance.

Dr. Barkhordar received her doctorate degree from University of California, San Francisco and has had over six years of practical experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with concentration in physiology and her minor in chemistry at San Jose State University. During her academic years, she has been awarded several academic honor certificates and several recognitions for her excellence in research programs.
The abstract of one of her research program was accepted by International Association of Dental Research in 1997. She received her Laser Clinical Certificate in 2000 and was awarded the John C. Green society Research Certificate in 2002. She has also held a faculty position at University of California, Los Angeles during 2005-2007, where she has taught and supervised the junior and senior dental students perform different avenues of dentistry on patients.
