Alas the Afnan summitt has fallen to the forces of development. The couple that owned this place were A-OK. Wife ran shop during the day and hubby at night. She was great, always smiling and waving, though little else as I don't think I ever walked in there when she wasn't on the phone. He was super cool, called everyone boss and let you know how "shit" the world was, if you asked, or even if you didn't. Plus, how many places cash checks for migrant workers. I even heard that the guy was known to lend cash to some of the illegals that frequented his place, if there kids needed medical care or something. Good, good people. I miss them. I still haven't figured out where I'm gonna regularly buy my gas at, or satisfy my midnight coca-cola fixes,
