They were the first folks we had look at our broken furnace and Don immediately diagnosed the problem, then walked my roommate through the issues.
We then went to another company for a second opinion (just to be sure) and the guy looked at the furnace, said something like "well, it looks like it's fine. I don't see what's wrong with it, but we could do a complete diagnostic for a couple hundred". I sort of did a double take. Wait, I thought...didn't I bring you out here to DO a diagnostic?
My roomie was at work while the second guy was here, but when he got home he was completely baffled to hear the report. I wasn't sure WHY he was so baffled until he walked over to the furnace and pointed out all the MELTED fittings and burnt out wires that Don had shown him. Jeez, second guy...come on.
Needless to say, we went with Don.
All the reviews are correct. They are wonderful. They know what they're doing, they're totally personable and well-informed and a pleasure to do business with. They installed our new furnace, gave us a little tour, and did a great job of making sure everything was working properly, just in time for the snow! -

If your furnace is acting up, you need to call Don. I had furnace issues two days ago, so I had no heating for two straight nights. I did some research on all the Seattle-based furnace companies and decided to call Affordable Furnace Repairs primarily based on all the good reviews on Yelps.
Don was on schedule, check out my furnace. Although Don may look young, he is very knowledgeable. He quickly figured out that the control board in the furnace was faulty. Don told me he carry spare control boards in this truck and gave me the pricing to replace my faulty board.
Now I finally have heat and it feels damn good! No more camping next to the oven. -

I created a Yelp account just so I could give this company an awesome review.
All of the reviews so far for this company are spot-on. Every aspect of my experience with them was favorable. The technician (Don) really went above and beyond the call of duty in diagnosing the problem and explaining to me how my furnace worked. Also, he reminded me that we need to be cleaning our air filters every couple of months and showed me how to do it.
These people rock! -

I had called a different repair person i found on craigslist- Handyman Fixall, who gave me a repair estimate for replacing an igniter and cleaning the furnace totalling $450 PLUS parts. I felt he was possibly overcharging so I called Affordable Furnace Repair, who fixed and cleaned the furnace in about 10 minutes, for $100. Don was polite, knowledgeable, and ethical, unlike Chris the Handyman, who I think was a crook. Don also gave me information on how to extend the life of my furnace and had unending patience with my rude Chihuahua. I highly recommend Affordable Furnace!
