Review from Scott S.
Oxnard, CA
Unbelievable service!!! Today @ about 3pm, nearly all of my power went out... This is typical because I live in an 80 year old beach house, with what I always knew to be crappy, ancient wiring... After flipping all the breakers and taking apart a couple outlets to check for damage, my Mother came home and started blaming me for the power loss because all SHE saw was me taking outlets apart... I gave up trying to fix it, as well as trying to convince my Mother it wasn't my fault around 5pm... I called an emerg. electrician from the yellow pages who said they MIGHT be able to come out tonight, but that it would likely cost about $3,000... They said they would call me back in 5 minutes... They NEVER did! I then called Rick... He was HERE in 15 minutes!!! He took the time to ACTUALLY listen to my description of the problem, instead of assuming I was an idiot with no valuable insight on the issue... He then got straight to work on the outlet I had disassembled, and within 30 seconds he looked at my Mom and explained that I had done NOTHING wrong! That was worth EVERY penny!!! As he continued to investigate, he eventually found the REAL issue... Our breaker box had caught fire!!! Our whole house could have burnt to the ground and it would have been considered MY fault!!! I feel like a guy who went to the doctor with a sore throat, only to find I have lymphoma! As I sit here holding the piece of burnt conduit that nearly destroyed our lives, I cannot stress enough how TRULY thankful I am for Rick, his company, and the failure of those other losers to call me back! Oh, and the $3,000 quote those jerks gave me... Yeah well, Rick's doing it for $1,300. YOU WOULD BE A FOOL TO CALL ANYONE ELSE IN VENTURA COUNTY! Possibly a dead fool if you found yourself in my situation today and hired Joe Schmoe, who wasn't sure if they could pencil you in! I owe you a debt of gratitude Rick! I'll make certain that everyone I know, understands how much better it felt to call YOU, instead of the fire department!!!

Review from Godfrey S.

These guys are pleasant enough, but I am not impressed. All I had was two outdoor sockets to replace, and the charge was $175 for about an hours work.
I won't be having them back. They are NOT affordable.Comment from Rick S. of Affordable Electricians 3/28/2012

Review from James E.

i had them come over to take a look at why i kept having power outages. they installed a wire around the back of my house promising it would stop the power outages. They charged me $275 and not to mention the same night the power went out. When i called them to following morning they said they could come back out but it had nothing to do with what he had done and he would have to charge me again. Not happy!
