Dr. Habibi is awesome and the staff is wonderful, not only with my wife and me but with our little 5 1/2 year old daughter who can be a handful at times. We're moving away soon and will miss them. Thanks for taking such good care of us over the years!

I absolutely hate going to the dentist!!! But I have finally found a dental office that I love!!! Dr. Habibi and Dr. Mary are amazing!! Also all the staff are amazing and nice!

There was a point where I didn't go to the dentist for literally years due to no dental insurance and due to my fear of the dentist and such... So I only went because I started having real bad toothaches. They set me up for an appointment that very same day and after a quick examination, Dr. Habibi informed me that she is going to have to perform a root canal. I'm not going to lie.. I cried. Yes. As a grown woman I cried in the dentist's chair. The staff there was so nice in trying to calm me down and letting me know that they are going to take care of it and explained the importance of flossing/etc and coming in regularly for check-ups to avoid major procedures like that.

Since then (2008 I think), I haven't gone to any other dentist and don't plan on it. And I'm proud to say that I'm not deathly afraid of the dentist anymore. :)

Dr. Habibi is by far the best dentist I have ever been to.  Here's why:

    - Takes the time to truly explain what is going on.  This is very rare.  She takes a picture and shows it to you.  She uses a mirror to point things out on.  I feel like I actually understand what is going on when visiting her, unlike all other dentists I have been to.

    - Cares about her patients.  I had some unusual jaw pain and Dr. Habibi picked up her phone early on a Sunday morning and followed through extremely well to make sure that I was OK and that I was getting the treatment I needed.  She was willing to go beyond a normal responsibility for one of her patients.

    - Uses up to date technology.  She has an email address.  Her x-rays are not still on film.  She is much closer to the state of the art than many previous dentists I have been to.

    - Excellent staff.  Very friendly, helpful, and communicative.

Overall, highly recommended.  Thank you Dr. Habibi!

It's a great place. Dr. Habibi is very friendly and she patiently explained to me how important flossing is during my exam. Not like talk you down or make you feel guilty about it.  I've just done a deep cleaning with them. Laura, the dental hygienist, is awesome! She's very gentle and always gave me heads-up before she went on to the next step, so I wouldn't be surprised.

The office staff is AWESOME. Especially Angela! She's SUPER. I wanted to do invisalign and turned out my insurance doesn't have contract with their office. She started researching on the details and they end up signed contract with Cigna and now I'm fully covered by my insurance. Angela did go above and beyond to make it happen! She also called me to followup after my deep cleaning and make sure I was doing okay after the procedure! I've been with 4 different dentists since I moved to California and been through 3 different ones in Florida, so far this office is the best! I'm looking forward to going back again!

And my search for the perfect dentist continues....! I went for a consult visit in order to see if this would hopefully become my regular dentist office. Verdict: Less than satisfied... :-(

Pros: Really friendly doctor! She took me seriously, paid attention to the fact that I only seek medical advice (not cosmetic), and explained all steps of the examination patiently and extensively. She took her time while still being efficient, and didn't rush through the exam.

Cons: Overall kinda dingy. The office is located in a small and somewhat run-down strip mall. The office isn't clean (a lot of debris on the floor, both in the waiting room and the examination "stalls"). The patients are treated in stalls/cubicles, not separate rooms. Basic furniture such as the examination chairs, etc., seemed really old. In order to see what's going on, I had to hold a hand mirror myself. Kinda hard to do when someone is poking at your gums and you're nervous as hell to begin with.

This might seem stupid, but if they can't invest in those standard overhead mirrors, why should I trust that they're up-to-date with their other equipment? I didn't feel like I was in a professional doctor's office.

I shall continue my search! I still have faith! :-)

Do yourself a favor and go to Dr. Habibi because she & her awesome staff are nothing short of FABulous!

My husband started going to Dr. Habibi purely because she was so close to his work and then stuck on because she is just that good. Incidentally, he completed his invisalign treatment with her last year and now has AMAZING teeth.

I am the world's biggest wuss when it comes to pain and had (in the past now, thanks to Dr. Habibi) the world's WORST teeth. 10+ years of serious neglect, largely in part of a HUGE fear of dentists, really had taken their toll.  I ended having to go see her because my husband basically forced me to, because he got tired of my scared excuses. Now, I owe my HEALTHY teeth to him (my husband) and the Fabulous Dr. Habibi.

She did not ONCE made me feel embarrassed about the state of my teeth. She completely understood that I am a WUSS and did not once make light of anything or again, make me feel embarrassed about it. She and her staff did everything to make sure to manage pain, my anxiety and FIXED my teeth. I am now a regular (have been one for the past 2 years) and will always be one.

We think so highly of her that we are even switching from my 6-yr old's pediatric dentist and taking our child to Dr. Habibi. That is how good she and her staff are.

Thank you, Dr. Habibi and staff!

I venture down from SF to see Dr. Habibi and her staff a few times a year. (She has Saturday appointments!) The drive is definitely worth it.

I completely trust Dr. Habibi's expertise and she has even referred me to an amazing Periodontist in SF for me to go to for a second opinion.

Every member of the office is friendly, professional and I haven't met anyone there I haven't liked!

You won't begrudgingly drag yourself to the dentist if you went here, I promise.

Note to self:  Don't wait 2 years to get a tooth cleaning you slacker.

I found this dentist on Yelp!  I can honestly say that it was the best experience I had at a dental office.  The staff was super friendly, had a great sense of humor (which really put me at ease), and took time to explain EVERYTHING to me.  They showed me how to properly floss and brush my tongue ("it's like a broom!  not a vacuum!").

I was terrified of this appointment.  It really helped that the hygienist told me every step to expect.  "I'm going to do this, then this, then the dentist will come in and do this, then this."  Makes me feel more comfortable if I know what's coming.

The really disturbing thing was how Dr. Habibi showed me how bad my teeth were.  She sticks the pokey thing in your gums and if there is too much give, that's bad!  Your tooth should be there!  There was so much give in my gums, she let go of the pokey thing and it was standing on its own in my mouth!  Holy sh*t that was crazy!

This was the first time that I felt like I was being taken care of as an individual.  At the end of the visit, I really did want to take better care of my teeth!  That just make you feel that way.  I LOVE Dr. Habibi!

I really like going here, everyone in this office is exceptionally nice.... which is a huge plus to me when it involves the dentist. They are always very accommodating to my schedule. I found them on yelp actually when I thought I was having a tooth emergency right when I changed job/insurance carriers and had not yet found a new dentist. They saw me that day! Everyone else I called told me no because I was not a regular patient. My emergency turned out to be teeth grinding probably due to stress (I can't help it, i'm a hypochondriac) so now I have a really cool, sexy mouth guard I get to wear at night.

But anyways, I recommend these ladies.

    So far, so good!

I was going to another dentist in MV that gave me worries about how they operated and especially the bad reviews I read about them on Yelp.  So I entered "dentist" on Yelp and went with the best reviewed dentist I saw - which was Dr. Habibi.

Let me first say that I have a terrible situation with my teeth - and add my fear of dentists (I've had nothing but bad experiences) - and I'm a mess of a patient.  But she was very calming and reassuring throughout my first visit.  She confirmed what I already knew - two wisdom teeth needed to come out.  But she said one of them needed to be "immediately".  That, of course, freaked me out...but she kept me calm and communicated everything that was going on.

Here's the shocker: It was incredibly painless!  I can't BELIEVE how easy and simple it was.  It was so easy, in fact, I was begging her to do the other one "just to get it over with".  But she wanted to err on the side of caution and see how I handle the pain, medication, bleeding, etc.  So I went back in today and had the second one removed...again, easy and pain-free.  I would rank the worst pain I had over the time frame as a "5" on a scale of 1-10.  And that's nothing compared to the horror stories I've heard of having wisdom teeth removed.

Anyway - I have been singing Dr. Habibi's praises since.  I still have a lot more work to be done, but she's been very reassuring about the entire process and has completely calmed my fears about visiting the dentist.

Oh, and the rest of the staff is as advertised by the other reviewers on Yelp...incredibly friendly, nice and accommodating. A very pleasant experience, overall!

I've had bad experiences with dentists all my life.  Until I came here, I had never felt the least bit comfortable in a dental chair.

Dr. Habibi is a professional of the highest caliber.  The staff is very friendly and helpful, and over many visits and extensive work, I have yet to have a complaint.

If you are nervous about seeing a dentist, know you need a lot of work done or are just looking for better experience, I recommend this place whole-heartedly.

Dr. Habibi and her staff are amazing.  My husband hates going to the dentist and this is the only office who would be flexible in dealing with him.  Angela is a multitasker extradonaire and goes the extra mile in dealing with insurance.  Dr. Mary and the dental assistants are kind, friendly and very professional.  Lise B. is completely wrong (only one with a bad rating) - go find another dentist - Habibi's patients appreciate this excellent practice.   By the way, the office is clean, the furniture is fine and the mall is not run down.  Lise B. you do not show you face in Yelp - don't show your face in this area either.

I hate going to the dentist's as much as the next person, so much so that I didn't go for about 18 months until my mom called me every day from the other side of the world begging me to do it. So I looked on Yelp (what else is new) and I found A&E and decided to give it a try. After going there for about 5 visits I now look forward to my next appointment! The staff is absolutely amazing and Dr. Habibi herself is genuine and personable. I don't know what kind of voodoo magic they did on me but I now floss almost every night and wear my mouthguard to protect my teeth from cracking :|

I am no longer a patient of Dr. Habibi's because my insurance changed. However, I really did enjoy my visits there. Well....who ever REALLY enjoys a visit to the dentist! But everyone was very nice and remembered me every time I came in. Dr. Habibi also found alternate approaches to my oral needs before resorting to painful procedures. The only complaint that I have is that she did a root canal on one of my teeth and now the filling has a big hole in it. I have to go to my new dentist to have it re-done before I can get the crown put on. I'm sure it was a fluke though.

I've been going to Dr Habibi for 7 or 8 years and couldn't have asked for a better experience.  I've passed on recommendations to literally dozens of workmates and all but 1 or 2 seem to have found the place excellent.

I had an immensely complex Invisalign process done which more than made up for half a lifetime of iffy European dentistry.  I was very happy with the end results, and with what it took to get there.  I saw one other reviewer described Dr H negatively for Invisalign -- I can only say my experience was spectacularly good.

The office staff are great.  Dr H seems to run a happy ship.  Kids seem to be at ease there, and I know of one other customer who visits periodically from Hawaii.

It may sound odd, but I actually look forward to my visits to this dentist!

Dr. Habibi is literally the best dentist I have ever been to. Before she starts ripping out my teeth, she looks for alternatives, like instructing me on proper teeth cleaning and then with a recheck see if my tooth decay has instead improved. What I really appreciate is the way she gives me my shots to numb me. She first gives just a little itsy bitsy shot to start the numbing, then she goes in with the big needle, but I do not even feel a thing. If you want painless dentistry, Dr. Habibi is the best choice. And the assistants she has are also just as good. Her cousin Angela runs the office and does so with effeciency and takes a personal interst in all of the patients. They are all very pleasant and are well informed. When you go to this office, you know they have your best interest at heart. Also, they keep a clean office, which I appreciate.

i love dr. habibi. it's so hard to find a dentist whom you can trust, and i'm pretty lucky to have finally found one. i've been to a handful of dentists over the years (no lack of horror experiences!) and she and her staff are by far the best. dr. habibi knows what she's doing and is very detail oriented so you can relax (to the extent that's possible in a dentist chair ;) during the appointment. i also like how she doesn't recommend doing things to your teeth unless it's totally necessary. some dentists tend to do that and it makes you wonder if they just wanted the revenue.

I have been going to Dr. Habibi for 9 years now and absolutely love the crew and appreciate their professionalism and great service. I was looking at braces and after consulting with a couple of different orthodontists which wanted to pull 2 or 4 teeth to make room for my teeth to straighten, Dr. Habibi came up with a new method where no teeth needed to be pulled. And thru using  Invisalign the process was so simple and painless. I now have perfect aligned teeth and don't feel embarrased smiling anymore.

My Mother found Dr. Habibi in the phone book. When I heard about this I started my investigating! I even checked her out with the board (can't help it... my old job taught me waaay too much about the boards!) and everything cleared (I can't help it... it's my mommy!). I have always been very weary of dentists because I have had such bad luck with them. I have never understood why it always seems to cost way more than expected even when you have insurance... anyhoo... those are my own issues. But alas, my mother went to see Dr. Habibi. She had some serious issues to take care of and to tell you the good honest truth, I know that if my mother would have seen my dentist, she would have come out of there in tears, but Dr. Habibi was the kindest woman I have ever seen, even when she was trying to be stern. This was perfect for my mother who would have probably shied away. Dr. Habibi gave my mother the truth, the ugly truth, but she let her know she would do all that was possible to save what she could. Well, it has been a couple of months now and my mother had a couple of gum surgeries and unbelievably, she is well and even sooner than expected. Mom was in no pain whatsoever. Dr. Habibi did a fine job and my mother is on her way to a perfect smile again. Of course, it all comes at a cost, but they are working with mom to see what needs to be done first and are not pushing anything on her. I appreciate that. If it wasn't for the fact that I live in SF and have been going to my DDS for many years, I would so switch to see Dr. Habibi. She even took the time to bring me in and show me everything she was going to do. This lady is top notch and I recommend her to anyone in need of dental services. Te staff is extra sweet too. There is nothing scary about going to this dental office. :)

    Dr. Habibi I love you!
I've been to military dentists, student dentists, teaching dentists, holistic dentists, cutting edge dentists and Tijuana dentists. I've never been to the same dentist twice because each experience was a scene out of a horror movie.
Dr. Habibi's staff got me an appointment an hour and 15 minutes after I called to tell them my tooth was chipped and hurting.
I was taken back quickly where the cost of the x-rays was explained up front so no financial surprises. She quickly saw that I needed the dreaded root canal.  However, if you have to get a root canal, get one from her.  I had no pain. I'm not kidding, so it bears repeating...NO PAIN. Not even the shot to numb the area hurt. She even gave me a mirror so I could watch. She frequently checked on me. And was sincere, as were her staff.
All costs were explained up front. Since I have no insurance and had to pay in cash I was given a discount.
Her staff were completely professional and very nice. They did not have to get me an appointment on a Friday afternoon when I called Friday morning but they did.
She also alerted me to another potential problem without trying to pressure or scare me. When I asked about it at the end she said we could discuss it after this process was finished. I appreciate a dentist that doesn't pressure patients to get more procedures done too soon.
    LOVE YOU, LOVE YOU

I used to live in Mountain View, and one of the only things I really miss about the place is Dr. Habibi and her staff.  I first went to her after an extremely diligent co-worker researched all the dentists in the area and decided Dr. Habibi was the only one he could trust with his teeth.  After going to her once, I recommended all of my friends and family, and to this day (8+ years later) they are all faithful customers.  The fillings I got here actually draw comments from the dentists I've been to since (when I'm too far from Dr. Habibi to visit her!), who say that composite fillings often only last 10 years or so, but that mine were done so well they might well last me a lifetime.  Add to the extremely professional dental work (my top priority) such a friendly staff that I've actually hung out with them outside of the dentist's office, an atmosphere where you get to request the music you listen to, and Dr. Habibi's magic way of hiding extremely large syringes so that you are numb before you even know you should be nervous, and I think you've got a dentist experience that is nothing short of magical.  Three cheers for Aesthetics & Essentials!

I am a world class dental chicken but somehow, between Angela's helpful reminders and Dr. Habibi's amazing skills and fun personality I am not afraid to show up for my appointments. I have had more than my share of horrible dental experiences which led to ignoring my teeth and having to make an emergency appointment. Not only did Dr. Habibi see me on the spot, she and all of the office staff have held my hand and made every filling or root canal actually painless. That's right, aside from the shots I could be sitting next door at the coffee shop with friends. I can not recommend this office enough. If you have children this is also a wonderful place to take them. My kids love Dr. Habibi as much as I do!
