This review has been four years in the making. My dental journey could be written into a book. Seriously. The stories of dealing with nonsense dentists took me on a whirlwind of a ride until finally, I arrived at Dr. Dinh's place and things started to take a turn for the better.
I turn up late 2008 and start filling forms at Aesthetic Dental. I clearly state that I have too many problems to mention and that was it. I just thought to myself "here we go again" another dentist that will tell me the same thing and nothing will get resolved. Glad to have been wrong on this one. Right away, Dr. Dinh expressed concern about what I was told by other dentists and set the record straight. She said we'll get to the bottom of these problems" and guess what, we did. Disclosure: I still have on-going issues (one thing or another with my mouth) but the core issues I had got resolved and it feels great.
Treatment history: I had cocktail of fillings, extractions, root canals, one bridge and a few crowns here and there. It has been four years since trusting Dr. Dinh and her entire crew and it was one of the best decisions I made. Aesthetic Dental is a special place for me. Whatever the issue, Dr. Dinh remained positive and never gave up and by give up I mean "extraction" as the ultimate end result. I am sure it pains a dentist when they have to extract if all other treatments failure. I had written off a few bad teeth and pushed for extraction, but Dr. Dinh stood her ground and tried alternative options until we got results.
The entire crew of at Aesthetic Dental are special from reception to the staff working with Dr Dinh. It has been a pleasure to get to know them all and I feel like family. Dr Dinh has done a great job creating an A+ team of folks that focus on customer service and makes visiting a pleasant experience. Her knowledge of Dentistry is amazing and she has a knack to explain a problem that makes sense to the person on the chair. Above all, it is nice to see someone that is driven on passion for their profession.
So, I have nothing but five stars for Dr. Dinh and her crew. Great team and I am glad I turned up when I did back in 2008. -

I'm sorry to give this place a low rating. The people here were very friendly and nice. I also liked Dr. Dinh a lot but I don't think this place takes responsibility if something goes wrong. My dad had his teeth pulled and got an infection. (They suggested him to pull teeth to avoid infection...) When we called the office and scheduled for an emergency appointment since my dad was in A LOT of pain and it was very serious... they ended up giving him some antibiotics... but we needed another appointment since it wasn't helping much. They ended up cancelling the second appointment and we couldn't get someone to schedule another appointment. The entire situation was a nightmare. :( We ended up going to another dentist to fix my dad's teeth problems.
My mom tells me not to blame Dr. Dinh since it seemed like she was dealing with a loss in the family at the time. Maybe they should have referred us to another doctor since they were busy instead of telling us that they could fix the problem--only to cancel the appointment.
They charged a lot on our insurance too... It seems like they sucked out all dental insurance money from our family. I don't know why they charged so much... we even had to pay extra bills. We figured that it would be okay for us to pay extra as long as they did the job right...
I also feel bad because we decided to go to Dr. Dinh because I found all the wonderful reviews about her dental office on Yelp. I constantly wonder if we would have ended up in the same situation if it had been my mom who was looking for a new dentist.
If your teeth has problems--go find another doctor. If you are just looking for someone to clean your teeth and an occasional checkup--this place is great since everyone is friendly. BUT!--even though the place is super friendly, they aren't your friends. I think that was the mistake our family made. We really trusted them the two years before my dad's teeth nightmare. -

I guess I should add now although years late, she pinched a nerve in my neck that hurt like he double toothpicks for weeks. After the root canal was finished that tooth because horribly infected. Not so good.

I was a patient and loyal customer to this dental office for a little over 2 years. Dr. Dinh and her staffs are great people with very fun personalities. They actually made my trips to the dental office very much enjoyable.
The quality of work, for me at least, is another story. I had some fillings done at the office. One happens to be in the front. A few months after the filling, I notice a little brown dot in the front teeth. I didn't think much of it, since it wasn't too noticeable.
Later I had two root canals done with her. Everything was alright until a few months later. I saw an infection on the gum next to the tooth where I had done one of the root canals. Already skeptic about her work, I went to check that up with another dentist.
According to the new dentist, there was a fracture in the root canal and bacterias were leaking out which eventually led to the gum infection. An x-ray showed the same problem with the 2nd root canal, but it wasn't as bad as the first. Long story short, I had to go see an endodontist to repair and treat the infection. That was really expensive! On top of that, after repairing the root canal, I had to get a new crown. My out of pocket expense was crazy! I might have to go back to repair the 2nd root canal soon if it gets worse.
Well, the little brown dot in the filling...i heard it's called a void. Now I have to fix that filling as well.
I could have easily ask Dr. Dinh to fix all of this for me instead of going with a different dentist, but I just want to want to deal with it anymore. Maybe it's just my luck since everyone seem to like her. -

One of the best dentists I have ever been to. My entire life I used to be afraid of going to dentists as they were scary, and I always had teeth problems.
All that changed when I visited Aesthetic. Carmen is super nice! and they are super friendly! They used to even when I started have these cool movie glasses to watch while your teeth were getting clean.
They also have good value, in terms of prices.
They are the worlds greatest dentist! -

I was VERY weary about going to the dentist due to countless unpleasant experiences as a child. My brother actually referred Dr. Dinh. My first appointment was actually quite pleasant. The whole staff is friendly and welcoming! Dr. Dinh exudes passion for her craft. I love how I am schooled in dentistry. She not only explains the procedures, but she tells you why it's needed. Aesthetic Dental has definitely made going to the dentist less stressful. For goodness sakes, I usually leave with sore cheeks from laughing so hard!

Dr. Dinh has been my dentist for 10 years, the work has been great and the staff are very friendly. Her work is always very detailed and the office always has the latest equipment and tools. Aesthetic dental is definitely ahead of the curve when it comes to creating caps, replacing crowns, and offering patients custom service.

I gave this place two stars because they called back and apologize for a very unfortunate first time experience. The Doc who called seems very nice too bad I or my family probably won't get to experience how good her work is. So very disappointing!
Because of all of your good reviews, I was actually looking forward trying out a new dentist. So I not only made an appointment for myself but for my mom also. They schedule to fit us both in, mine at 9am and her is at 10am.
Even with a small child we manage to be there 10min earlier, and since I knew we had to fill out paper work I had mine and my mom printed out online and completely filled out. Because I believe in punctuality. This way if I'm running late I had all the form fill out so that way they won't have to wait for me to fill them out and slip late on the day, but so much for that.
The place was nice, very friendly people. I got called in finally 30min later. I understand they are running late.. it was fine. My son is happily playing with my mom out in the waiting room so it was no problem. Well due to a personal circumstance they cannot do my cleaning that day so I ask if they can see my mom in my place so we don't have to wait longer. They took two more patients ahead of my mom and finally I just asked why they couldn't take my mom in my place. Not sure what the reason was but now they are running late again. It's 10am now and they probably wont be able to see her until some time later.
So I asked to please just cancel her appointment because i have to go to work and can't wait for another hour or possibly more. So after and hour sitting in this dental office we were on our way home with no one's teeth got clean. Had to drive home to drop off mom and baby (who thank goodness is the only one in the car who is in a happy mood.). Then I suddenly realize they never gave me my insurance card back.. so had to drive all the way back to get it. -

I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to getting needles stuck in my flesh, especially near the gums! But Dr. Dinh's shots are painless.
The folks are friendly and professional. Dr. Dinh is amazing; it's hard to find a dentist that actually cares! You'll find it here. -

I love Dr. Dinh, love her love her love her. I actually enjoy coming to the dentist's office now, which sounds crazy seeing as I was absolutely petrified to step into one for the past five years. I found her through yelp (thanks y'all!) when I had a missing filling develop into a painful mess; first time she looked at me, she said, "yup, root canal, you wanna do it now?" Never looked back since.
She is funny, candid, warm, goofy, but most importantly, she knows her s*#t. She goes to conventions and keeps up on the latest practices and technology/products(?)--you can tell this is her passion and she enjoys making people happy. Her all-female staff is also amazing, I truly enjoy interacting with everyone in the office.
Oh, and the video goggles! I watched The Notebook today while she filled in my root canal.
Can't say enough wonderful things about this woman and her rockin' gang! Oh wait, she's going to be even more popular now. Forget everything you just read..... ;) -

Dr. Dinh is the best dentist in the world. Take it from scaredy-cat like me who HATES goin to the dentist and who also had the misfortune of having hacks work on my teeth. Dr. Dinh takes the nervousness away because of her great personality and dental expertise.
The other good thing about her is she's a wonderful person, genuinely kind, and truly cares for her patients. Truly a good combination!

This might sound weird... but I actually had fun going to the dentist. So much fun that I had to rant and rave about it on Yelp as my first actual review.
I want to first thank all you Yelp'ers who helped me find a new dentist and my first visit exceeded all my expectations. The staff were super friendly, cracking jokes, and were understanding of my tardiness due to traffic.
Once I got my actual check-up, I met with Dr. Dinh who you will soon know as one of the funniest people around! Although she is personal and friendly, you can also tell she knew her stuff. She was the first person who did additional checks such as oral cancer and went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable and understand my dental hygiene.
Also, the office has some of the latest technology including digital x-rays and a movie player so I watched Catch Me If You Can on the VR Glasses.
Bottom line, Aesthetic Dental is friendly, funny, but also knows there stuff. I wouldn't mind going there any day, just wish I didn't have to go for cavities. -

I recently moved up from Los Angeles and need a dentist. Yelped suggested Dr Dinh. I made an appt for normal cleaning. I am very impressed about Dr Dinh's positive, energietic, caring attitude. She answered all my questions with courtesy unlike many dentist that give you the "i know everything attitude." Her staff is very friendly and polite. I enjoyed my visit and will be back in 6 months for another cleaning.
Oh btw, I inquired about bad breath and teeth whitening and when I left, Dr Dinh gave me a bag full of freebies. Even the receptionist was surprised at how many items I got.
If you are searching for a dentist, give this place a try. The service and care you receive is exceptional. Did I mention you get to watch movies while being worked on. Seriously...you get a viewing goggles and your choice of a movie to keep you entertained. Very cool.... -

This place is GREAT.
Ok, now I've never hated going to the dentist or doctor as a kid. I was never one of those kids scared of the drill. I've always had a pleasant time at the dentist. However, I did recently have a horrible dental experience that you can already read as one of my Yelp reviews. So with that other place being a 1 star (yelp doesn't allow zero, I tried), this place is definitely a 5 star.
This is how a dentist should be. Not painful. Also, I don't wait long when I show up for my appointment. One of my biggest hassles when going to the doctor/dentist is the waiting. The time it takes out of my already busy day. I like not having to wait. Why not just change my appointment time to 30 min. later if I need to wait 30 min. But here, I don't have that problem at all. Which is wonderful.
The staff is nice and friendly. So is Dr. Dinh. I actually find myself responding to their conversation with me while my mouth is wide open full of dental instruments. The weird thing is that they are able to understand me. They must teach a linguistics course in dental school.
This is my dentist now. And I actually refer this place whenever anyone asks me about dentists. Which to be honest isn't that often, but I think I have told about 5 people about it so far. Make that 5 million if you include yelp! -

Quite simply, I've enjoyed every time I've come into Dr. Dinh's office. After putting off my yearly checkup for.. years, a friend recommended Dr. Dinh to me and I owe him a drink because she does great work. Up-to-date technology, courteous and fun staff, and superb service.
Less than 6 months until my next checkup and I'll be there.

Update: Was called in for my checkup and eagerly went. I was disappointed Dr. Dinh wasn't there; the guy was happy, bordering on making it seemed like he cared. Went well though; receptionist great as always. -

I haven't been to a dentist for more than 3 years because it's painful and very uncomfortable. However, Dr. Dinh changed that! She not only improved my overall dental health , but also she took the fear away.
This is what I had done so far, She fixed the gap I had on my front teeth, and I had 2 deep cleanings and 2 wisdom teeth pulled. Not once did I feel the pain,
The front desk staff is courteous and very friendly, every trip to her office is like a nice teeth spa, even including the teeth extraction. She really cares about the patient and has a huge passion for what she does. Very advanced technology with very fun and professional staff. The only concern I have is if I move out of the area, I would not be able to find another dentist like her! -

I must say I was kind of disappointed with this place.... I didn't even make it to the office either, I called made an appointment and scheduled it for a Wednesday, It was a week notice and before I got off the phone with the receptionist she said I'll call to confirm a few days before I said great. Well Monday came no phone call, Tuesday no phone call, Wednesday morning I call to confirm for my 330 appointment and a different receptionist said "your appointment is for next Wednesday"... I was pissed! I schedule my appointments around my work schedule and now I have to look and schedule it for another week out!!!
Thing is when I called I specifically said I will be a new patient and I need to come in within a week... And she said OK!
I figure if they can't schedule a simple appointment I don't want them drilling in my mouth!!! -

Wow, I normally never say this about any doctor/dentist/etc, but i actually look forward to coming here!
Dr. Dinh knows her stuff! Her and her staff does great work, and they make everything as least painful as possible. I recently have had my wisdom teeth pulled, and to be honest, it wasn't even that bad. They even called me the next day and made sure everything was OK.
But what really stands out about this office is the personalities; everybody here is nice and super friendly. It's not always straight business like other offices "GIVE ME UR INSURANCE CARD AND SIT DOWN" type of place, whenever I come in, we're always laughing and joking around. So my visits are always pleasant!
I'm sure going to the dentist isn't on anybody's "favorite things to do list", but Dr. Dinh and everybody at Aesthetic makes going to the dentist as AWESOME as it can possibly be! Highly recomended! -

What a fantastic doctor and staff. Dr. Dinh is such a very good human being first. A great doctor next. She is very pleasing, always smiling and treats you painlessly. She recommends the best for you and accommodates you both in terms of schedule and finances. Yes, can you believe this? I had just moved to the bay area and just started my job and was short of money and was not very much interested at first to take a treatment that I would end up paying more. She not only convinced me to take the treatment by explaining its benefits and also gave me discounts on my part of the coinsurance. She takes great personal interest in your dental health.
Similar to her, all of her office staff are very pleasant to deal with. They remind you about your appointments, follow up with you and are not behind you just for the payments like other dentist offices.
Her office is small and Dr. Dinh is alway busy (no surprise here) but once you get an appointment, the staff give you movies to watch during the procedure, give hot towel and a goody bag before you leave.
I also have to mention about April, one of her assistants who performed my initial cleaning and also was there for my other dental work. She is always nice and gentle and has a great smiling face, which makes any pain, if at all to vanish.
All, in all, I will recommend this place to everyone I meet! and she is going to be my primary dental care provider from now on! -

I found my dentist I WANT to keep forever finally! I heart my dentist Dr. Dinh.
I swear everytime I come into this office, I wonder if they're passing around the laughing gas in the back because there's always lots of laughter in the office. I even asked Dr. Dinh if they were, 'hook it up!!!' lol. She said of course not haha.
All laughing matter aside, I would have to say that for this dental office, from the reception staff to assistants and dentist, everyone has been stellar. All very open and friendly and professional, the whole shebang. When you come in for the first time they take a goofy picture of you for their files and the way they do your xrays, you're super confortable and you dont have to bite into weirdly shaped film that does not really fit into your mouth. Then you also see them come up on the screen in front of you while they're doing it! cool eh?
The cleanings I've had at the office were great, and the dentist is super friendly and she'll remember you even if you've only come in one other time 6 months ago for your first checkup.
After my second visit, I got an appt. for my boyfriend to come in for his cleaning. I'm confident that he'll have a better experience here at Aesthetic Dental than the last place, N&M Dental (Stay away, bitchy receptionist, shady billing, and unfriendly dentists).
Dr. Dinh has done a great job hiring her staff and making the office a great place to come for dental work. Highly recommended! Thanks Yelp. -

Absolutely love it there! I have always been afraid of going to the dentist, but I actually look forward to my visits here!
The staff is great! Very nice and friendly, I always feel welcomed and at ease. Dr. Dinh is great, she does such a good job.

I STILL come here and I STILL love it. They do an amazing job & the staff is always so friendly. I had to come back here a bunch of times due to a filling that kept coming out and I was afraid they would be annoyed that I had to come back so often but they're always so sweet! I get my cleanings done here every 3 months and my teeth are looking goooood.

The best dentist I've been to.
Dr. Dinh is very nice and gentle as she does the cleaning. All the staff members from the receptionist to the assistants are very nice and friendly.
They offer those video shades you put on and you can pick from a pretty good sized collection of movies and tv shows to watch during your treatment. Oh, and she offers flavored paste and again there's a wide variety of different flavors. It's little touches like this which show that Dr. Dinh is very meticulous and thoughtful.
Overall, a very pleasant visit. -

I found Dr. Dinh and Aesthetic Dental through research on Yelp. You Yelpers know what you're talking about, because I've been seeing her for over a year now and I couldn't be happier!
Today I just got through my first root canal and I freaked myself out about it beforehand by looking up pictures online and reading about the procedure (yeah, something I recommend NOT doing). Anyway, Dr. Dinh saw my fear and instantly calmed me down, explained the procedure, and basically said she knows the process inside out and will be painless once I get numb. Since she was so nice about it, I sat back in my chair and I let her do the work.
I won't go through all the details about it (trust me, you don't want to know), but it went exactly as she said it would. Once I was numb I did not feel a thing. Even the SHOT didn't hurt, can you believe it?!?!
Right now, as I'm sitting here recovering from my root canal and nicely relaxed with the painkillers and antibiotics in my system, I can safely say that Dr. Dinh and her staff are freakin awesome! I can't believe I'm saying this....but I like going to the dentist!

I found this place on yelp and it did not disappoint me. Super nice staff and Dr. Dinh is very funny. Some times I wonder if they have a data base of patients about their personal data to keep the conversation going after 6 months.. but who cares, they make me wanna go back sooner and leave with satisfaction. -

(I honestly don't want to tell the whole world how great Dr. Dinh and her staff are because I'll have to wait THAT much longer to get an appointment! I changed my mind and am writing this review now because if it weren't for the positive reviews on Yelp, then I wouldn't have "seen the light")
Aesthetic Dental is the bomb diggity and *THE* place to get your choppers cleaned. Each staff member from Aesthetic is friendly, courteous, personable and caring. I have never, EVER felt so taken care of when going to a dentist.
Dr. Dinh has a genuine heart for her patients and really wants each of her patients to just take care of their teeth. She took the time to answer ALL of my 12,789,798,324 questions and explained what steps I need to get my teeth in pristine condition. Anita is super real, down to earth and made my x-ray and cleaning process go by super smoothly. Elaine (Nuna) and Carmen in the front are always cheery and very accommodating for appts.
My grills stain pretty easily and haven't been looked at by a dentist as meticulous and detail-oriented as Dr. Dinh, who got up in the nitty gritty and crooks and crannies to remove the staining in between the teeth.
Some of you folks are raving about their movie goggles, which are pretty cool, but I was having too much fun talking and enjoying the gentle cleaning that I didn't even know what the movie was about!
If you want a dentist that is up-to-date with her dentistry skills and whole team that seriously makes you feel like you all were homies since kindergarten...then Aesthetic Dental is the place to go to! -

BEST DENTIST EVER!!!!!
I hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Dinh makes it OK. She's amazing, and remembers everything I tell her (even better than my hair dresser).
My Roommate turned me onto Dr, Dinh. And I have now passed her on to my boyfriend.
She even sing along with the radio. She's super adorable. And the whole staff has an upbeat attitude. -

OK so I'm not a fan of visits with the dentist, who is really? I've hopped around various dental offices and for the most part my experiences have been OK, nothing to write home about. It was time for a change so I went to Dr. Dinh after checking all the positive reviews.
She instantly makes you feel at ease and she really does take her time while cleaning. I felt like we were the best of friends within the first 5 minutes of talking with her. After my initial visit, she found 2 cavities that needed to be filled. I think my heart actually sank with fear when she told me the news. However, I really didn't feel much pain at all! Perhaps it was the novocaine or Dr. Dinh's skills with injections. Really though, it was probably because she made me feel comfortable from the get go.
Oh by the way, it's probably best to not choose a comedy to watch since I'm sure I looked ridiculous smiling at random moments on the chair. -

I love this place!!! The staff and Dr. Dinh are amazing. I arrive to my scheduled appointment a little early. Right when I get there, the staff already knew who I was. I get the necessary paperwork and start filling them out. The waiting room is so comfy and cute! Very clean environment. I waited no more than 10 minutes, before I was called to the back. I got seated and the assistant hands me a pillow for my neck (not many dental offices does that) and also gives me some sunglasses so I get nothing on my eyes (that's a first for me)! The assistant starts on my cleaning. She was very gentle and constantly checks up on me to make sure I wasn't in pain. I then met with Dr. Dinh! and OMG!! She's a doll! You can tell off the bat that she's very passionate about her job and her clients. She took the time out to get to know me on a personal level, which most places don't really care for. We talked about our background and even joked about YELP!
They open until 7pm (which is great for those that work late).

This place is amazing. The personnel are nice and caring. They let you watch movies while they do their thing. They put Vaseline on your lips so that it does not dry up, who does that? It's awesome. Dr Dinh has a great personality, she is always giggling, she answers all your questions.
Overall, I highly recommend this place, in fact, i have referred 3 co-workers already.
Check them out, you will not regret it. -

Truly amazing doctor and staff! It's so rare to find such a wonderful combination when it comes to a dental office. Most of the time you get a fantastic doctor then feel like you're being sized up by the administration. This office makes an effort to make you feel welcomed as soon as you come in. Everyone is very professional but very warm and personable. The dentistry is top notch and (dare I say) entertaining. Besides from the DVD glasses that are provided so you can watch shows while they work on you, the staff have a handful of stories to amuse and keep your head away from the work at hand. I've raved about this office to my friends and family and I've even gotten one of my friends to go here after not seeing a dentist in 10 years and they treated her like she was an old friend. Top notch service all around!

This place is amazing! I have been coming here for over a year now and their service is top notch! Everyone is friendly and caring. Dr. Ben Lee is great! It is hard to find a good dentist. But this place really go above and beyond to give people superb treatments. They give pillow for your head to rest on, sunglasses to help your eyes from squinting from their lights, lipbalm to help your lips from getting dry, and we even got red envelopes for chinese new year!!! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Love this dental office...everything about it. I have three kids and all of them love going. I love the fact that Dr. Dinh is so concerned about your children that she really goes out of her way for you when it comes to them. I highly recommend her- great hours, great front staff and best of all a dentist that really cares about your children!!! Two of my kids have had some work done and it is true about what is written- you can't feel the pain of the shot. If you are in need of a really great dentist this is the place for you.

Love Dr. D, had to have four teeth removed and I was shaking in my boots, she took her time to make sure I was very numb and told me what she was doing every step of the way. She is also hilarious!

Rebecca was my dentist when I was an undergrad and she was a dental student at PENN. She has always been my favorite dentist. I wish I knew she had an office in the South Bay when I move to the area. (I had some pretty negative experiences with dentists in this area :( ) Luckily, as I am searching for a new dentist on Yelp, she was listed as a favorite here. I look up her site and figure out she was my former dentist. Yay! I am so glad I found her. I will be making an appointment with her for my next cleaning!

By far, Dr. Rebecca Dinh is the best dentist I've ever had. In fact, her whole office is pretty fantastic. The front office, the dental assistants, and Dr. Dinh are all about caring about their patients, doing great work, and giving their patients a positive and fun (really? yes, really) experience at the dentist. Dr. Dinh also knows dentistry. She always answers all of my questions thoroughly!
I've referred several friends to Dr. Dinh. They all rave about their experience. I'm convinced that one of my friends keeps making appointments just to watch movies on those fancy movie glasses!
Even if Milpitas is a little out of your way, definitely think about making Dr. Dinh your dentist. -

Dr. Dinh is the bubbliest dentist I've ever met. She is friendly and talkative. She makes you almost forget that you're sitting in a chair with someone's hands in your mouth. Aside from her radiating personality, she's also a gentle and meticulous dentist. Her office looks humble, but it seems that she's been spending her money on making patients comfortable instead of making her walls look pretty. They offer movies for distraction, and pina colada flavored polishing paste. They offer chocolate flavored paste, too, but that probably tastes weird. Anywhoo, I haven't had a positive dentist experience in a long time. Kudos to Dr. Dinh. She'll get her last star if subsequent appointments are just as happy.
