I sat down for breakfast, racing for flight, and discovered that I had run out with my wife's keys for car and apt. I approached my waiter Justin Levow, who had been friendly attentive and fast and asked about Fed Ex or whatever in terminal. When he learned why, he offered to take the keys to Jamaica station and hand them over when he finished. He refused all payment at either end for this Good Samaritan Deed. He needs promotion - if not canonization! Thanks again Justin
And the breakfast was good as well!

    wasn't outstanding but wasn't terrible.

15 bucks for a not so soggy not oily, healthy french toast with ham, turkey, and swiss sandwiched in between with plenty of syrup on the side to dip or drench.

orange juice not really freshly squeezed as they claim.

quick and they ask u what time ur flight is to make sure u are out the door in time.

Maybe our standards are low being that we live nowhere NEAR Italy.  But dang... we had the BEST Italian food ever here... and at an AIRPORT, no less!  We were shocked.  I had the most amazing pizza... PIZZA!!!!  Best ever - at an AIRPORT!  I ordered the artichoke pizza (which was really more appropriate for 2 people but my husband helped me polish it off) and the hubby had a pasta dish (forget the name) that he claimed was amazing as well.  I am rarely surprised by a pizza but wow...  unreal.

Our server was prompt and available when it was time to leave for our flight.  Maybe this is a gross generalization but he struck me as very Italian... heavy accent, abrupt in manner but not to the point of being rude.

We didn't expect a lot from airport food but we were quite surprised and will certainly return if we find ourselves in T5 again!

Even in an airport terminal, I expect better food, especially for the price.
I had the eggs benedict with homefries ($12). The egg whites tasted like the vinegar water they were poached in, and the hollandaise was watery and tasteless. The potatoes were okay.
My boyfriend had an egg white omelette with vegetables, cheese, etc. It was good, but very overpriced (around $20).

I guess i should start by saying its in an airport. So i think considering that huge obstacle, they do a pretty good job of pulling off a decent menu.

I started with the margherita pizza and had a fennel watercress salad with citrus segments.

    The pie:
Undercooked :(. So it tasted doughy in most of it. When i did get a slice of properly cooked areas i gotta say it was pretty damn good. Nice sauce, not to sweet or tangy. Which complemented the salty buffalo mozzarella nice.

The salad was fine. And the service was sub par.

Killing a couple of hrs here could have been worse, especually considering. I WAS IN AN AIRPORT !!!

Walked into the restaurant.  A very nice server asked me when my flight was.  I told him, wondering if I had time to eat there.  He said I had plenty of time.  Relax!  Plug in the computer!  Enjoy free Wi-Fi!.  Sounds great!

Food didn't come.  I'm starting to panic.  I had to run around to find the "very nice server," say "My flight is boarding in fewer than five minutes!  You lied to me to make a sale."  So now I'm panicky.  He ran back to see where my order is.  SImultaneously, another server brings my food while I'm up talking to the other guy.  They put it in a crap to-go container and I run to the gate - and I will now eat a cold chicken parm sandwich on the flight.  (By the way, lots of parm, not much chicken.)

I felt swindled like a stupid tourist at a cafe in Rome.

Wow - what a surprise - absolutely fabulous food in an airport terminal!  all our choices were absolutely excellent, and the wine list had some superb choices also.  The Seared Salmon that I ordered was among the best I've eaten in recent memory.

So why only three stars?  The service was absolutely terrible.  The wait staff needed to be hunted down if you needed anything.  Astonishingly bad, in fact.

Owners and management - a bit of training could result in an amazing place.  The other reviewers seem to agree (and so would you if you went there incognito and attempted to order anything...)

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. Dressing was a little heavy on the Caesar salad but tasty nonetheless, poached egg was a nice addition. They let me order the child's size spaghetti and meatball which was the perfect amount of food. Had a nice glass of wine...and patted myself on the back for passing on the cold cellophane wrapped sandwiches at Cibo. Brrr, makes me chilly just thinking about it.
Yeah that's 4 stars for an airport joint (I mean what other options are there?)

I got extremely drunk here on a layover. The bartender comped me a drink, changed the channel on the TV for me, and even bent over to make her drinks in front of me so I can stare at her luscious cleavage.

If that's not a reason to give a place five stars, we're doing it wrong.

Moderately priced, food is good, drinks are good, staff is friendly. Bing bang boom, you're done.

As I was leaving my apartment this morning at the ungodly hour of 5am, the thought crossed my mind that i might want a book to read on the plane. But then another thought crossed my mind--it said, Hello, you're on JetBlue...TVs, baby! Thanks to some good subway luck and the fact that I am *completely* OCD when it comes to getting to the airport on time, I arrived at the shiny new T5 with plenty of time for breakfast.

Now, it is a general rule that when dining alone without reading material, one must take out one's phone and pretend to be conducting very important business via text message. So here I am, giving it to you live!  I'm very adept at iPhone typing.

AeroNuova is a bona fide restaurant, nicely appointed in modern browns and whites. There seem to be a lot of staff, but they've been surprisingly slow at coming to say hi to me, especially considering I'm one of about 4 people here. OK, coffee and water have arrived, and seriously? This is easily the best airport coffee I've ever had. It's apparently Illy brand, which is so fun and fancy! I feel like a real first-class jet setter!

My croissant sandwich was cooked to order with what are certainly real eggs, and came with a side of home fries that have tasty bits of roasted red pepper and onion. All together everything came to just over $10, which I feel is extremely reasonable for actually decent airport food served on real plates. The menu also included custom omelets, brioche French toast and stone-cut oatmeal, and nothing went into the double-digits.

Thank you, JetBlue, for making eating at the airport not mean Panda Express.

Never one to miss an opportunity to try a new eatery, I missed my flight and had just enough time before my next one to try out this cute little spot tucked away at the JetBlue terminal.

The little plastic knife may be a reminder that you're still at the airport, but friendly hostess and helpful waitress help make the brief encounter more relaxing.  I had the eggs benedict with bacon and a side of home fries - solid well-made breakfast, and for $12, much more worthwhile than paying for a cold sandwich on the plane.  In, out, done in 30 min, including time to jot down some notes for this Yelp review. Totally awesome.

Awful experience, from front to back. Dined here on 12/19/10.
Snooty hostess. She acted like she was working at a five star establishment in upper Manhattan....who needs 'tude in an airport restaurant?
Restaurant was empty, she tries to sit us in the concourse, then gave us more attitude when we requested inside.

Asked for a spicy bloody mary, what I received was bland and flavorless. When waiter asked if I wanted a second one, I said sure, but I want it spicy this time. He then tells me it is a pre-mix! What? bartender never heard of tabasco? He couldn't tell me it was a pre-mix when I ordered the first one?
Paninis were sub par, not cooked properly, very light on the ingredients.
    Would never return.

These people are all running around with their heads up their butts and bumping into one another.  Don't you love it when 2 or 3 of the wait staff stand around and count up their tips?

Oh, yeah, I love to spend $30 for eggs on a croissant before hopping on my 5 hour JetBlue flight.

If the wireless GPS picks you up and lets you check in here, then, bam, good for you.

I'd hate to see this place if it were actually CROWDED.

JetBlue does Terminal 5 right, hands down but on a different not so tasteful note...

Aeronuova messed up - big time.  The service staff while around in the first place were pleasant but attentive would be a word far from reason at this joint.  At the point I walked in I had requested a booth, when told there were none available I come to find, one out of four were occupied. Now considering my short lived stay at Aeronuova, I could let it roll but lets talk food... My breakfast included a $5 glass of "orange drink" (Sunny D at best...) they list as orange juice on the menu and a toasted bagel, cream cheese and lox that made me physically ill.

Bottom line: Non-existant service and bad fish says enough, avoid it - Terminal 5 has much better options!

Zedar brings up a good point-Aeronova has some prime real estate at JFK/JetBlue's Terminal 5 (which really is something to behold) and after you stumble out of the TSA gauntlet Aeronova is the first thing  you see. I had been slightly paranoid about this trip since it was my first after some of the new underwear bomb on Christmas. My flight was at 8am I was at the terminal at 5:50am.

I ordered the granola-this is one of those things that can go really wrong. The plate arrives with a shitload of melon which we all know is a bad sign. NO berries no grated on one hand berries are nto in season but I suspect aeronova is not into the seasonal movement. I made do and managed to make the piddly dollop of yogurt last the whole way.

For the money you might as well go to one of the CIBO places and get a sandwich.

I settled on Aeronuova after limping into the Jetblue terminal with a broken suitcase, a dead phone, and a dire need for a glass of wine.  It took 15 minutes from being seated before someone came over to take my order for that wine, and the waiter didn't seem to happy that I chastised him for the slow service, but you know what?  when there are 2 waiters for every 1 patron, and it's a slow night, it should not take 15 minutes to come over and take my order.  on the bright side, the food was very good.  Still, I could have done better elsewhere in the terminal

I may have missed something, but this appeared to be the only option for a sit-down breakfast at JFK Terminal 5.

The service was slow and inattentive, the toast was white and the "home" potatoes tasted like they were frozen and reheated.  Luckily, my organic egg, onion and tomato omelette was good.  Next time I am flying Jet Blue out of JFK in the AM, I will try breakfast elsewhere.

Had to stop here after watching this years  "next food network stars" perform  challenges for the various restaurants in this terminal.  I had the Risotto which was pretty good.  Thought I was going to have leftovers to bring on the plane but I wolfed it down before take off.

I had an amazing bacon and goat cheese pizza here, in a restaurant with a nice wine-bar vibe, and was amazed to find such a place in an airport. Big TVs help pass the time -- my only suggestion for improvement would be if the server could give you a better idea of how long food will take, as you're only ever going to be here if you have a flight to catch.

Excellent food, pathetic service. The tables were untended and dirty the whole time we were here. We had to walk into the kitchen to ask someone to bring us water and then later the check.  No management apparently. We complained and no one cared. Shame cause the food is good.

My husband and I happened to be arriving 4 hours early for a JetBlue flight yesterday (unsuccessfully trying to snag a seat on an earlier flight) so ended up with some time to kill and wanting to have a "nice" meal or as close as possible at an airport.  The new T5 JetBlue terminal is quite nice and had a good variety of table service restaurants in addition to the normal fast food.

When checking out the menus for the restaurants, I saw margarita pizza - which we love - and some interesting salads at AeroNuova so the choice was easy.  We started with a couple of beers; I didn't see any on tap but they have a decent selection of bottles.  A  basket of thin baked bread with parmesean crust came to the table with it - delicious!  We didn't want a big meal so decided to split the pizza and a salad.  We chose an Arugula salad with tomato seed vinaigrette and parmesan (I think).

It arrived with perfect timing - just after we finished the bread.  I noticed that the man at the table next to us was in a bit of a hurry and they seemed to get his meal out quickly to accommodate him.  Our pizza was perfect - very thin crust, amazing sauce and some mozzarella slices.  The salad was simple and tasty - an elegant mix of flavors.

Since we still had time to kill, we ordered coffee (yes, illy brand) and a slice of chocolate mouse pie - I'm not sure exactly what else it had with it, some fruit glace (?) but it was fantastic!  I topped it off with a cocktail called Tiramisu - something like a chocolate martini but very light - yum!

It doesn't seem like an airport restaurant especially if you can get a seat inside the restaurant itself; the seating continues out into the terminal area.  Definitly Italian, it has fresh ingredients and a varied menu with healthy options of broccoli, beets, etc as well as the salads.  They also offer many seafood, chicken, beef and pasta dishes.

I'm not saying AeroNuova competes with the best 5 star restaurants, but for an airport, this is as good as it gets.  It is good enough, that if I have the time, I'd come over from another via the Airtrain or just get to JFK early enough for dinner.

It is a real treat to sit down to a delicious and satisfying meal, accompanied by equally good Italian wine- at the airport. The Jet Blue terminal at JFK is more like a high end mall, not an airport terminal. I don't normally go to malls, but if it's a choice between crap food (e.g, Chili's 2 and McDonald's) and the mall I'll take the mall. The first time I flew Jet Blue out of New York was last March and I thought that I had died and gone to airport heaven. So clean, so new, so modern, and full of conveniences that take the edge off a cross country trek after a full week or day of work. Even the take out kiosks offer healthy and gourmet options, not to mention good coffee! I ate at Aeronuova for the second time on Friday night. Just as good as the first. Had a long productive day of work and this dinning experience was my treat. Started with the tuna tar tare, which was seasoned perfectly and served with to thick slices of rustic bread that had been grilled and drizzled with olive oil. There was also some arugula on the plate. I hadn't eaten but a little nibble since breakfast and devoured everything except the lemon garnish- I was hungry but it was that good. I'm hypersensitive when it comes to fresh produce and the arugula was a little old / wilted, but that was the only negative for the entire meal. I had a class of Rosso di Montalcino. It was a little pricey at $14 a glass but worth it. Delicious. The Rosso is the "step child" to Montalcino's Brunello, which is usually very expensive. I find the Rosso to be a perfectly elegant wine and was very stoked to have a glass at the airport. I moved on to the tagliatelle, which was served in a lovely rich cream sauce with shaved black truffle. Ate it all. It was delicious, airport food or not. I had a glass of their reasonably priced Montepulciano- $8. It was lovely. The service was very good. Paid my bill and felt relaxed and not too bent out of shape at the thought of a 7 hour flight back to CA.  It helped that the service on Jet Blue itself is so civilized.  Enjoyed kicking back watching cable TV after my good meal.  Kind of felt like I was just chillaxing at home.  I wish that all air lines took Jet Blue's lead on the comfort and service front. It would make air travel more of a pleasure than an ordeal.
