We started off at Aerobar (about 15 of us) and the girls even got bands for free drinks (Grey Goose and cranberry) hey that's great (most places give you the cheap stuff) my only complaint is that it was more cranberry than goose ;-)
We actually wanted to go to Mokai but they wanted us to buy a bottle and only 4 people to a bottle and the rest had to pay $25 to get in... Well we said "F" that lets go back to Aero Bar where we can get a bottle there, have seats and good music. By the time we got back the place was packed, but the guys at the door remembered us and we were able to go straight in. (this was a plus in my book)
We got a bottle, sat in the back with nice comfy seats and danced our a*$es off all night! Great music all night and a great atmosphere. We had a great time here and I would definitely go back. Prices for drinks were moderate for Miami Beach clubs about $12 a drink (not too bad- pretty normal for that area) the free drinks had more cranberry but of course because they are free but we ordered Rum and Coke since that was what we were drinking and they were made very good (nice and strong) :) -

WOW, what a good time! Came with a group of 10 people and Johnny got us all in for free, thanks to Tony Guerra, whom we can never thank enough for his amazing hospitality. Thank you again Tony!!! :)
From the moment we walked in, the music was groovin' and we just instantly started having a great time! We were here on Thanksgiving Eve and at first there weren't that many people there, but the place was absolutely packed as the night wore on.
The DJ kept the crowd going and had us all dancing the night away! And Oscar G performed, who I love, spinning an amazing set!!! I couldn't stop dancing!
The bartenders were always on point with good response times; we never had to wait too long for a drink. And with us being a large group, we were surprised at how quickly we got our drinks.
Had an amazing time here. Love the fact that its out of the hustle and bustle of the Beach. Not a pretentious place. Decor is nice, crisp and fun! Definitely come here to have a good time with your friends and leave your reservations at the door!Listed in: WMC Staples...

Came here on a Thursday night which I thought was " the night" to go. Got in free through my promoter so I don't know how much the cover is.
Free drinks for ladies till 12:30. Got there fairly early like 11:30ish and it was really, really empty. I figured I was there too early but when 1:30 rolled around it was still fairly empty and no one really dancing my friend and I decided to split.
The decor is really nice, a lot of seating for non vip pardons, full length mirror in the ladies bathroom which is a plus! Drink prices pretty decent, the usual for the beach really.
What a let down :( Maybe it was because it was a Thursday but I'll try to go on a Friday or Saturday but honestly, I was so let down from that night that I am not so certain if I'll give it another chance. -

For a SoBe club it is good.
You can see both rooms via a large glass wall, but the hip-hop is divided from the house beats. It has an unpretentious you-don't-have-to-do-blow-off-my-peruvian-boobs vibe.
The client is a good male to female mix...could be the $50 cover for guys. Parking is a nightmare, but it is most place in South Beach. -

It was one of those clubs I heard about and still never been to. When one of the girls mentioned Aerobar while sipping our drinks at the Catalina Bar & Lounge for a bachelorette hang out, I was like "yeah, let's go!"
Since it was 5 of us girls, we got in free, and the place was packed. This place was a great choice, because it was my type of music and on Thursday it's not that usual night. No happy hour, but the scene and the music was what I expected.. didn't want to have to go to Mansion or Crobar.. some place new for me like this worked out! :)Listed in: Alcoholic's List

If Set and Buck 15 had an illegitimate child, it would be Aero Bar.
Thankfully, this small venue is hidden from the usual South Beach suspects. The atmosphere is sleek and slightly trendy without trying too hard. The music and clientelle follow suit.
It's certainly not the sexiest place on the beach, but there is something oh-so-refreshing about that as well. Take a polished group of friends that are down to have a good time. Scenesters, go elsewhere. -

The following review is courtesy of a traveling San Francisco yelper:
Aero Bar was the scene for a fantastic, Glenn Morrison and Markus Schulz hosted start to WMC 2009. Excellent venue - I hope this becomes an opening night tradition for years to come.
Some highlights from my own blog as well as Markus himself - our attempts to capture the spirit and energy from a very memorable night:
From me:
"I walked in after Glenn had already started. This was a small venue, and I made my way near the front easily. I literally get on the dance floor, and Glenn drops the familiar beats of No Sudden Moves, which made my entire being light up, and looking around, everyone else too. Just about then a very enthusiast guy a few people behind me let out a bellowing "Viva Miami!" And with that, I felt like WMC had official begun.
Those exceptionally positive vibes permeated the entire night. Glenn spun an outstanding set, and Markus just killed. I'm not sure I've ever spent more time with my hands up, and I spent a lot of time in the air from all the jumping. You had to; the crowd was doing it in unison. I met some awesome people during the show. One guy in front of me noticed my enthusiasm and when he left the floor, asked me to move up and take his spot. Another guy saved my space next to the booth in exchange for a beer. Another group was in from Texas and Mexico, and by the end of the night we were in each other's pictures and exchanged offers to visit one another for our next Markus experience."
From Markus:
"Winter Music Conference officially kicked off in Miami on the Tuesday night. I played a gig at a club named Aerobar, along with Glenn Morrison and Noel Sanger. This would turn out to be my highlight of the entire WMC week - very intimate with an incredible vibe, and a lot of producers, DJs, media and scene members scattered around the venue. The bigger parties were to follow at the weekend, but this gig had a special feeling in the air and it was great to see a lot of old friends out enjoying themselves." -

On Thursday night, we came here because our friend talked to some guy she met and who was at the door when we showed up. Believe he was a promoter of some sort. He actually came through though and got us in for free and I was really happy that we didn't pay for this joint. We strolled in and the venue itself wasn't too bad. Two rooms, one being a more cozy, smaller one with a bar. The main room had seating in the middle and a few bars to the side with the DJ at the far end. This mian room reminded me of The Beatles Lounge at the Mirage in Las Vegas, same concept and layout almost.
Why the two stars? The place was dead. It was a sausage fest in there. We left after I bought a round of drinks which came out to $100 for 7 drinks. Wowzers. So we were there for no more than 30 minutes. Moved onto another place. -

The promoter came around the corner and rescued us from Mokai. He let us all in free. They weren't playing hip hop but we grooved regardless. What is really cute is that there are swings, yes adult swings here! How fun...not smart in a dress...but how FUN! There are lighted platforms to dance on, mirrors everywhere and a random pole. It was not crowded and people were pretty friendly.

Fun place. Small layout and good area to find parking. Located further north then most clubs in Miami. Good dance music. Drinks made by the waitstaff or bartenders are not the strongest. (May be a pro or con depending on your preference). More my scene then some more well known and average places such as the nasty Mansion, Prive, etc.

Aero Bar - 23rd Collins, was hit among my group of 10 this past Friday night. Very trendy environment with just the right amount of beautiful people - not overcrowded...just right. Some feedback from my party was that the music was a bit outdated. Nonetheless, the morning after crowd hailed the night among the best night of their lives (probably didn't hurt that we dropped $1,000 on two bottles and drinks). It was a bit pricey but nothing to out of the ordinary for South Beach. I highly recommend this spot while it's hot!

This place is super loud and the people are annoying. They play house music in one room and trance (?) in the other. Great for people watching but you can't talk about them because the place is so loud. Paid $25 each to get in. Totally not worth it. The place is tired, dirty, overpriced and full of people who look like they are on drugs.

This is a small club and we paid a ridiculous WMC style cover charge, but it was worth every penny for one of the best lineups I've seen in a long time. Felix da Housecat, Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden, & Mark Farina. Amazing. The crowd was great - high energy and fun-loving. Also, it was an intimate enough environment for me to get some great pictures of the DJs. The bartenders were very fast and the security guys were very professional and not jerks. I had a fantastic time at this club & I hope they keep hosting sick parties like this one!!

So this is odd, I'm writing a review on a club that I didn't step foot in, but I had a great experience outside so I wanted to share. My husband and I got here around 2;00 a.m., there was a long line and they were not letting anyone in, even people who wanted bottle service, I guess they had no tables left and were over capacity. Anyhow, we proceeded to the front of the line and my husband asks one of the door guys, if they were letting anyone it at all, if no, not a big deal we were going to go elsewhere. He said to give him a few minutes, then he tells us that he can only let us in if someone walks out, or we can head to the bar at The Gansevoort and he would call his friend at the door and we would get in no problem, if we didn't want to stay he said we could come back to Aero Bar and he would let us in the back door. Since we had been to the Gansevoort bar and liked it we decided to go, he walked us half way, and was so friendly, gave us his business card and told us to call him next time we were in town. We went to the Gansevoort, there was a huge line but we got in with no problem and free admission. It was great to come across a door guy who was friendly. Next time we go to Miami I am definitely going to Aero Bar and checking it out.
