Review from Caitlin C.
San Diego, CA
I took my first acrobatic class a few months back, and the song they were playing over the loud speakers was "Here comes the sun"--- the beatles, and this song describes and reminds me of Aerial Revolution! NO JOKE. Here's why :
I wrote a pevious review for studio revolution, and now i'm writing one for aerial revolution entertainment- Yes, they are two diferent entities, but at the same location.
There are two main floors- aerial revolution is the acrobatic portion of the business, and studio revolution is the yoga part of the business. Both are really fun!
This place is so amazing. People have no idea - I'm surprised there aren't more reviews on this place. All the instructors here are so down to earth and ready to help you fly in the air! You could fly in the air with silks, the lyra or a trapeze. I know there's more options for you to fly in the air, but that's all I know since I haven't taken all the classes that's being offered yet.
All the teachers here are so amazing, and it makes me want to be good like them!
It's definitely hard work because I get tired easily :0 -- I'm already huffin and puffing 20 mins into the class, and we're not even fully flying in the air yet, LOL. I think if you come here often enough, you'll start to get buff! That's a good thing because it's a great work out. I know I can feel it all over my upper body the next day- good pain!
What I like about this place is, there's no judgement. There are people of all ages, and all levels that come here, and not once have I ever felt that i'm being judge because I can't do something (there's a lot I can't do, lol) :) . They make you feel at ease about what your body can do, and they teach you on how to work with what you are able to do. There's no reason to not come back! I just feel this place is so fun and it's just a happy place to be because for an hour of my time, I think i'm at the circus --- So, here comes the sun, and it's all right! -

Run, don't walk down to Aerial Revolution! I started taking classes here a few weeks ago and I was terrified. But I had read such good reviews on here that I decided to give it a try.
First let me say that I am not flexible, never have been. And I certainly have never been on a Trapeze or a Lyra before. I have had so much fun and have learned so much in a few short weeks. Jessica and Sarah are amazing teachers and they have never once made me feel like I was out of place.
I am certain that I'm the oldest and most inflexible person that has ever walked in the door:) It just doesn't matter. I'm making progress, having the most fun ever and have never been so bruised and sore and loving every minute of it.
Everything that the other reviewers say about people being friendly here is absolutely true. If you have any doubts put them out of your mind, get in your car and go take a class!!! If I can do it, anyone can. -

So far I am pleasantly surprised. I have taken a capoeria (a major butt kicker!) and ariel yoga (really fun). I wasn't impressed by the aesthetic when I first arrived but the classes, instructors, and over all vibe make up for it big time.

I have taken a few aerial silk classes in other cities, but this was the best class by far. The instructors were all very understanding, helpful and had us all laughing and accomplishing new moves in under an hour!
I say this place is worth the time! don't worry if you are going alone or with a group, you learn at your own level! -

I absolutely LOVE this place. If you want to learn aerial arts or other circus arts like hoop dancing or juggling, you can do it here. There is also ballet and yoga. There are plenty of performing opportunities, and everyone on staff is very helpful and encouraging. Their pricing options are also very reasonable.

I bought a Living Social deal $30 for 5 classes. Anyone who takes any dance or yoga classes knows that is a great deal. I tried the beginning aerial fabrics class today...super fun and challenging. Who knew I'd be hanging upside down by the end of class? I plan to try out hoop dance and maybe acro-yoga too...can't wait!!

I first heard about Aerial Revolution when a friend performed a silks routine at her own wedding! It was amazing.
I then went to a few of the 1.5 hr beginner classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. They were $20 for drop in but you can get a class card for a discount.
The classes started with a lot of stretching and warming up, then they broke up the people based on newbies, intermediate, and the advanced circus performers. Cheetah is an AMAZING teacher. He is so funny and taught us some cool easy tricks on the silks. You can also learn a lot of fun stuff on the Lyra (a big metal hoop thing hung from the ceiling), and the trapeze.
It's a little intimidating because it is more like open gym then a class. You are kind of left on your own and need to ask to be taught new things. I always got a great workout, had fun, and learned some cool tricks though (check out my pics).
They recently moved to Point Loma and I plan on going as soon as the new location opens up. It looks like the classes are restructured though and that it will be more inviting to the beginners.
However, I gotta say, one of my favorite parts is sitting back and watching the circus people practice their flips and tumbles. You really feel like you're in a circus!Listed in: Places to Get Rid of Fat

I found this place through a Living Social deal and I'm glad I bought it!
I've taken 2 classes so far, the 1st was Intro to Silks which I thought would be easy but very quickly learned this is Really hard.
I've always loved cirque de soleil acts and figured why not give it a try.
Granted there was nothing graceful or natural about my first time but it was still fun. It makes me appreciate the art so much more.
My second class was Aerial Hula which I enjoyed too but not as much as the silks. I had Jessica teach the silk class and I thought she was a better teacher than the Hula instructor who had been a sub for the class. She was less energetic and I almost felt like she had somewhere else to be.
I'm excited to try there other classes and they offer a wide range of them.
Everything from Aerial arts to Yoga.
Overall I've enjoyed coming here and look forward to getting better with practice:-) -

I just got back from my first silks class with Jessica and my fingers are moving at a snails pace from fatigue. I LOVED the class. Jessica was very patient with me as I clumsily clamored on the silks. I felt like I learned a lot on my first day despite my spazzy nature. The other students in class were very fun and helpful. It can be very daunting on your first day to be hanging above the ground with only the strength of your upper body and newly acquired skills holding you up, but I felt very safe the entire time. I will definitely be heading back for more!!
Thanks Jessica! -

Best thing about this studio is the teachers and the other students
They love what they do and they are a community
This place is like my clubhouse, I go here to play with my friends, to learn new tricks, to learn how to move through space, and to have fun while growing strong.
Acro yoga classes here are really good for beginners, I had never done it before and Mara and Jack make it very easy and accessible, while still pushing your boundaries. You will need your thinking cap, your game face, and your heart (don't leave it at home).
Acrobatics, when you are just too badass to only do acro yoga, you have to take Alex's acrobatics class. He is a rock. Strong, smart, funny, confident, he knows what he is doing. And he makes you strong and confident too, the other two you'll have to develop on your own.
Aerial silks classes - there are several teachers for this, so you can pick whichever one suits you, they all have different personalities and different ways of teaching. Maybe you just pick them all after all variety is the spice of life and these teachers are gorgeous, strong, smart, friendly, you will love them.
Trapeze was never so accessible. If you told me six months ago that I would be in an acrobatics/aerial show dancing on the trapeze, I would have laffed my face off. Fact remains that's exactly what I did after less than four months of training. It is so much fun and again...the teachers are smart, considerate, talented, and community oriented.
This is not just another gym, it is a way of life, or it can be if you just walk in with an open heart well and a wad of cash. It's $15 for most classes but once you have taken a few you will be so addicted that you'll pay ten times that to do unlimited classes for a month. Come for the fun, stay for the strength training and the community.
Come by, you'll love it. I love it and I have excellent taste. -

Loved the aerial yoga class, although I wish the instructor would have offered advanced poses to the class for those of us wanting to take it to the next level. The acro yoga class was great too, but more core strength and prep poses than actual acro. The facility has a strong energy of community and creativity. I come here every time I'm in San Diego. Love, live, do yoga!

I've been coming here since April (so about 4 months) and honestly, this place is like a hidden treasure! As CHEESY as that sounds, IT'S TRUE.
Everyone I've met here are genuine and fun people to be around. The teachers are AWESOME and very patient and helpful if you're having a hard time. If you want to get in shape, THIS is the place to work out instead of a boring gym. Not only that, but they have one of the best deals I've ever seen: Unlimited classes for just $150? HELL YEAH!
ALSO! If you have a nightlife, you've probably seen some of the teachers here perform. Long story short, I went to some concerts and then when I started coming to Aerial Revolution I began to notice that people looked oddly familiar... :) -

I recently went to Aerial Revolution for a Lyra class and then had to go back two days later for a silks class because I loved it so much. The silks class was definitely challenging and takes a LOT of arm strength, plus the wrapping can hurt the foot a little, but the Lyra class was the best. I'm going back soon to take more classes. The teachers were really great, and the price can't be beat.

I am so happy to discover this place. I've been taking aerial yoga for a few days now and I recommend it to all avid yoga practitioner. Aerial Yoga is an unusual, thrilling, and relaxing way to explore the limits of your flexibility and strength. I've been doing Ashtanga Yoga for about two years now and I was sore the day after my first class. It was a good pain that I haven't felt in a long time. All the staff that I've met here are very friendly and helpful. The only negative thing that I can say about this place is the small parking lot. Everything else is clean, warm, and very fun.

I've been to a couple classes now and I loved them all! Everything is super fun and the instructors are very helpful, friendly, and encouraging. I took Intro to Aerial Silks with Cheetah and Dance Trapeze with Andreia. There's not much to say except AMAZING.
I've found my new exercise hobby that I can't wait to do every week!
Definitely recommend going! Their class prices aren't too extreme and for the quality of teaching and welcoming environment, I think it's totally affordable.
$75/5 classes. $150/unlimited month. -
