The Boyfriend and I stopped here on a whim one Saturday night when we wanted something different. I felt underdressed as I was dressed California casual and some men were wearing jackets or suits and women dressed up as well.
I ordered the Combo plate which had Mossaka, Pastichio, grape leaves, spanakopita and the best roasted potaoes I've ever eaten. It also came with a great feta sald to start with and pita bread. I only wish the pita bread was warm or hot, instead of cold. Cold just didn't work with such good food. Everything was very good.
The Boyfriend some large hunk of meat and roasted potatoes and he loved it.
It's a great place if you want to get dressed up and have a special expensive elegant meal.
But I still need to find a funky casual Greek place where you can a variety of things more reasonably priced. -

The quality of this place has suffered over time. They have another location in Watertown, MA, which was one of my favorites until it too got worse.
I do not know if ownership changed hands or they cut back on the quality of the food to turn a better profit, but something is amiss. This is one of the few Greek restaurants I know of in the area, and I wish it was something I could justify giving more stars to.
The olive oil and feta plate is provided as a complimentary appetizer, accompanied with wedges of peta bread and a sort of boule. This is perhaps the best part of the experience at Aegean.
The house salad dressing (a greek, olive oil base) is severely watered down. I feel like it washes your salad off, instead of gently clinging to the greens. This wasn't always the case.
My favorite appetizer is the Tzatziki, but even that has suffered. It used to taste fresh and as of late, it seems like less care is taken in the perperation. Now it tastes stale and as if it's been sitting in the fridge for weeks.
My favorite dishes are the Greek Salad with Grilled Shrimp or Chicken, and the Stuffed shrimp with Crab meat. All of these are done pretty well and I would suggest you try them.
For service, that has declined as well. Wish I could give a higher score. -

Before I was married, this was my go-to restaurant for first dates. It's kind of hip, the food is consistently excellent and it has a nice bar (try the Mythos Red).
If you want to know how "adventurous" she'll be, order the grilled octopus. It's delicious, but looks like a hot mess. If she goes at it like a champ, she's a keeper. If you aren't sure about her, make a late reservation- they have no qualms about vacuuming around your feet as it gets near closing, leaving you with a perfect excuse to beat it.
You'll usually leave with garlic breath- so bring a mint, Odysseus. -

Usually I love the food here especially the lamp with the red sauce, it melts in your mouth, but last week I came with my family and we tried the seafood special- it was not the greatest- the fish was over cooked and the scallops were below average. My wife had the moussaka pastitsio loukaniko and spinach pie combo and that was mediocre- the loukaniko was a quarter of a half piece -( for the money they should at least give you a full half) and the rest of the combo seemed reheated and the taste was not as usual. My brother had the lamb and it was very good. Please go back to your great food -- your prices keep going up why?--maybe I was there on a bad night but I am willing to give then another try.

I ordered the seafood sampler. the fish was good shrimp was overcooked vegatables a little watery.Overal experience was ok I would go back but as a second choice.

I have never once had a bad meal here!
Everything on the menu (that I've tried) has been perfectly cooked and generously portioned. I come here often with the bf, the parents, and with friends.
All meals start with complimentary bread (pita and Italian) with an olive oil and feta cheese dipping sauce. A salad course is included with any entree and features a typical Greek salad with a lemony dressing and plenty of feta cheese.
Anything made with lamb here is fabulous! Too many options to list separately but believe me when I tell you that if you like lamb you will like the Aegean. If I had to pick one favourite lamb dish it would be the roasted spring leg of lamb. My bf is not a big lamb fan so always ends up with some sort of seafood dish and has not been disappointed. He particularly likes the grilled trout.
Dessert here is a must and the best is the galaktoboureko (phyllo filled with semolina custard) but the baklava is almost as good. Most Greek desserts are extremely time-consuming to make and thus you take the opportunity to try one here as making them at home is too laborious for the everyday. -

I never liked lamb before, but thanks to the Aegean, I CRAVE it. There's a few different lamb options, but try the Leg of Lamb with roasted potatoes. Served sliced and topped with delicious brown gravy. Amazing food, and always a great staff.

Came here again, this time with the family. Asked what they felt like for Sunday brunch, they responded with Greek! We had a lovely time. We ordered the stuffed sole, which was good, and the swordfish. The vegetarians enjoyed their veggie kabobs. We liked the Greek salad with the green olives, feta and purple onion slices. Our server was a pro, and the pleasant young hosts at the front appears to be part of the extended Ntasios family. Everyone remarked how lovely it was inside. We liked our rounded booth in the cozy nook and enjoyed the view overlooking the large dining room and across into the kitchen. I enjoyed the Greek music that was playing in the background.

I really love Greek food and I'm glad this place is nearby. There never seems to be much of a wait to eat here which surprises me because I think it's awesome.
The bread and oil that they start you off with is delicious. The spanakopita is my favorite appetizer. They have one appetizer that lets you sample a few of their dips which is also awesome. I always, always, get chicken egg lemon soup (avgolemono) when I eat Greek food and it's really good here.
For an entree, I usually get the chicken souvlaki which comes with rice. They put some sauce on the rice, I don't know what it is, but it's SO delicious. I've tried bites of my boyfriend's food before too - most recently, it was the swordfish, which was great.
Definitely a good restaurant to try especially as there aren't too many Greek restaurants in the Metrowest area.Listed in: Top Restaurants

I'm pretty stingy when it comes to giving out 5 stars. The place of business has to excel in all aspects of service, food, atmosphere and cleanliness. The Aegean excels. period.
I expected the look of the restaurant to be pretty but expected in the normal Greek style. Don't ask me what that style is, I can't explain it. But, it was one of the prettiest restaurants I have been in in a long time. Very well done, upscale, beautiful in colors and style.
The service was impeccable. All waitstaff was courteous, know their wines, food detail and never rushed nor made us wait. Even when clearing some of the dishes, never a sound of dishes hitting. All fantastic.
Now the food. Oh. My. I have to admit, Greek and Mediterranean menus are some of my all time favorites...yes, yes they are and this restaurant is at the top of my list when it comes to the Greek part. We had about 3 apps because we love them! Horiatiki Pikili which was a platter of different proteins, sausage, lamb, chicken and beef all done in different spices and flavors. Yummm! SaganakI which was Kaseri cheese sautéed and spinach and cheese pies which of course is the filo dough triangle delights. For my main entree I had Mousaka which was a trip for my palette. Layered eggplant, seasoned ground beef, grated cheese topped with béchamel sauce and I had to take 3/4 of it home as I was a little piggy in the apps dept....sigh. Can't wait to have it tonight!!!
Go..just go and experience this place! -

This review is only based on the experience I had getting take out. I decided to order Greek for dinner after work, to pick up on my way home. When I got there the hostess pointed me to the direction of the bar to retrieve my order. I stood by the side and one of the servers rudely called out "EXCUSE ME" because I guess I was a bit in the way. Another female server pointed towards the middle of the bar and told me I was "supposed to stand there." I was a little disoriented but the guy behind the bar finally took pity on me and came over to help me out.
Based on that service its doubtful this place will be my first choice when it comes to selecting a venue. Evidently servers are only nice if there's a chance you'll be giving them a tip. Not cool. Horrible first impression. -

This is a hike for us but we had a discount so we decided it was worth a try. Our first visit was a while back & we decided to go yesterday for our anniversary.
I am not as impressed as everyone else seems to be with the bread/oil dip. The feta is actually somewhat bland & the bread is not quite right (a little too thick). They do have some good apps here. We've enjoyed the Horiatiki Pikilia which includes Loukaniko, Lamb Ribs, Keftedakia, and Kotopoulo Skaras and the Lamb Ribs as starters.
The dinners are well priced & mostly well done. There are some downfalls to all the meals we've eaten but not bad enough to ruin the meal. First and foremost ... avoid the green beans. Trust me on this.
House Combination Platter includes Mousaka, Pastichio, Grape Leaves, Spinach Pie & Greek Sausage. I wasn't a fan of the sausage but the Mousaka, Pastichio & Grape Leaves were fine and the rice was passable. The spinach pie was OK but I've had better. This visit I got the Lamb Souvlaki with roast potato & the BF stuck with the Lamb Ribs. Both come with salad. We both found the dressing bland but a little salt, pepper & a sprinkle of lemon from the appetizer plate livened it up. The potatoes look more boiled than roasted although the flavor was good. Both lambs were delicious. The plate of ribs is piled high but they are bony so you have to work at them.
The service was lacking both visits. Both times the waitresses seemed to want to rush us into ordering. When we told her we needed more time, she only gave us about 2 minutes before returning to check again if we were ready to order. This might be considered attentive but once the entree's come, good luck finding your server. Thankfully after ordering our appetizer we waited to order our entree. As it was our salads were brought only moments after the appetizer and the entree came before we were finished the appetizer. If there's anything I hate, it is feeling like I am being rushed our the door. Mind you we were only one of three tables in our section so it wasn't like they had lines forming out the door.
I might return to Aegean when I'm in the mood for some tasty lamb but I would probably wait til I had another coupon. Otherwise I'm not sure it's worth the lackluster service and the drive. -

Nice atmosphere good fresh food -especially the seafood dishes. I prefer sitting in the lounge which is a large room with regular tables, pub tables and of course the bar. I can't think of many other restaurants in the area with lounge seating this spacious. I usually get appetizers and they have a bunch of good ones try the lamb, but last time I was there I got the Greek combo dish-which had stuffed grape leaves, spinach pie, moussaka, sausage, and pastichio (sp?) tons of food for the $$, and very good!

I've been here twice now, so feel like I have a decent idea of this place. The first time I came was about 4 or 5 months ago, and just recently went back last night. I will say that I LOVE the greek salad dressing. It's very plain and understated, but a great mix of vinegar that doesn't overwhelm everything else in the salad. However, the first time I came with a friend, they brought us one large greek salad (we were sharing) and the bottle of dressing. This time, they brought us two small plates of salad with the dressing already on. Whatever. Not a big deal. I was just really excited about this dressing and thought that the salad would be as good as the first time, but was slightly disappointed.
Main dishes were ok both times - they have traditional greek platters of food, grape leaves, souvlaki, etc. Nothing blew me away, however. Last night I ended up getting the grilled salmon, which was pretty good, however, all the sides that came with it (limp green beans drowning in dill, over-roasted falling apart starchy potatoes), were not that great.
Our service has also varied a lot in the two times we went. There's nothing amazing about it, and last night our server may have been having a bad day, as i'm pretty sure she didn't say more than about 10 words to us in total.
I guess overall, this place is decent, but nothing to rave about. I would go back for the greek salad and the bread basket they serve you when you sit down at your table with olive oil and feta... delicious. Skip the sides, and don't expect much else! -

Still displeased with the Aegean... We ordered a company lunch from there. I got the lamb souvlaki again and it just was not good. This time it wasn't saturated in garlic - but the lamb wasn't a nice cut, it was chewy and disgusting. The potatoes were great (and probably extremely fattening I'm sure), but I couldn't believe that I only got four tiny pieces of gross fatty lamb for $13... the greasy but tasty potatoes couldn't make up for this. Officially not going back.
Also the people we ordered take-out from were rude. We waited at the bar for five minutes before anyone even acknowledged us.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I've been to the Aegean 3 times now and each time, I've enjoyed my food but haven't been WOWed.
I made a reservation for Mother's Day and thank goodness I did - this place was PACKED! We were brought into one of the function rooms, which was empty but set for a bunch of big parties. Luckily, it wasn't too loud even once the other parties started arriving.
On to the food. We started with 2 appetizers:
1) Spinach Pies and Cheese Pies (Two of Each) - Baked triangles of filo dough stuffed with spinach and feta, respectively.
2) Lamb Ribs* - Lightly marinated and broiled.
The pies were good, but I've had better. Nothing to write home about, but not awful. I tasted a few bites of my husband's lamb rib. It was ok but fairly fatty.
My MIL (mother-in-law) ordered the Rack of Lamb (I think) for her main meal and got the vegetables as the side - which were steamed broccoli and string beans. She didn't like them (the string beans did not look appealing) and asked for the roast potatoes. She didn't like these either.... I got some on my plate and thought they were tasty, if not exactly what I expected.
My FIL and I both ordered the Chicken Gyro Plate (Lightly seasoned chicken served with our traditional tzatziki spread). I was hoping this would come with pita, but since it came with rice pilaf, roast potatoes (I did half-and-half), french fries or vegetables, I guess pita wasn't needed. This was a HUGE portion and I am looking forward to having more tonight - and possibly tomorrow!! The chicken was somewhat dry, but not overly so and the tzatziki balanced it out nicely. There were lettuce, tomato & onion buried under the mound of chicken, which I wish had been more easily accessed. Oh, they all came with an Aegean Salad (lettuce, some onions, 1 olive and 1 cherry tomato with feta and an olive oil vinaigrette) - which was actually pretty good.
My husband went for his standby - Chicken Kabob (Marinated chicken skewered between peppers, onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms) with french fries (which I, of course, tasted. The fries, not the Kabob). He seemed to enjoy it and had a bit leftover.
The waitresses are super friendly & very helpful! (Really patient too!) I was also able to use my BuyWithMe coupon, which was a nice bonus.
Overall, it's fairly expensive for a place in the suburbs. Even after our $50 coupon, we ended up paying over $60 - and we didn't get any drinks, except 1 soda. You get a lot of food, so that's nice, but I'd rather smaller, quality portions for a bit less money than just massive amounts of food.
Would I go back? Sure - if a friend wanted. But it wouldn't be my first choice. -

We love this place, and when we're in the neighborhood, we can't help but stop in for lunch, dinner or whatever works at the time we're around! Their menu is extensive and most entrees come with an amazing greek salad, and a choice of side (the rice pilaf with gravy is THE choice...although, you can have potatoes or veggies if you prefer!)
The atmosphere at this establishment is laid back yet sophisticated. The decor is modern and airy and it's a very relaxing place to enjoy a good meal. The bar area is usually hoppin' and I think they even have live music sometimes!
As we sat down, we immediately received a basket of pita bread and The Aegean's signature dipping oil - olive oil with lots of feta in it! It's delicious! As our waiter mentioned tonight, "Everything's betta with feta!" (Please pardon my pictures this time around - the light was weird in there and my flash did not do these images justice at all!)
Once we'd tucked into our pita triangles and feta oil, we ordered some drinks and decided what we would have for dinner. Most entrees come with a fresh Greek salad, which comes out momentarily after placing an order - and I was starving...I was totally looking forward to it!
I'm not going to lie, I usually get the same thing when we come here. Their spanakopita (Spinach Pie) is awesome...and enormous...and delicious...and it's one of my favorite things on this planet. However, I decided to go outside my little Greek box this evening, and I went with a lovely shrimp scampi over rice pilaf with a lemon-white wine gravy. Matt got stuffed sole and stuffed shrimp with the requisite rice pilaf and gravy.
The sauce was thick but light, and the shrimp were done perfectly. Their rice is always cooked to perfection and it was a very enjoyable meal. We even got dessert, to go! Some Baklava and some Galaktoboureko (it's filo dough, with a greek custard - and as our waiter pointed out, it sounds a little like "booty call"), yum yum yum! We'll save those for a little later this evening...because right now, I'm full! -

My husband took me out here for my 29th (ahem 32nd) birthday recently. Basically since coming back from Greece a few months ago we have been trying to find a good restaurant to even come somewhat close to what we ate in Athens and Santorini.
First off this place is super busy! Which I thought was a good sign. The wine was really good but it was bottled and from Greece hahaha. The food was decent. It was edible Greek food but I guess I was spoiled and expecting more. Both my husband and I had lamb dinners (different types). The lamb was ok, didn't like the sauce. The potatoes were really good. The salad was basic.
Maybe we need to go back and give this place another chance. Maybe we need to try a lemon chicken dish next time... -

For Greek food in the Natick/Framingham area you have slim pickens.
Needless to say I don't each much Greek food as this place just kept getting worse and worse overtime.
10 years ago when this place looked half as nice the food was twice as good. I recently went with my parents after having visited Buffalo NY and partook in some of they many excellent Greek restaurants they had to offer.
I decided to go with safe bets. Olive stuff grape leaves, the thing thats just all hot melted plate of cheese and some beef ca-bobs (lamb just creeps me out).
The grape leave's which I love and buy from restaurant depot in the 5 pound containers where at the same level of quality as the restaurant if not better. They came out cold and a little dry like someone else ordered them and the dish sat out for a while.
The hot plate of melted cheese, should come out piping hot almost with a bubble. But it came out cold with a gross layer of oil on top that was from the once melted cheese, heated most likely in a microwave. Very gross...
lastly the beef ca-bobs were just not good. Not juicy very dry and boring sides. I don't plan on going back..well...every really.
I had an ongoing debate with my parents for years about this place on how it wasn't great and finally they saw my side of the coin. I don't think they have gone back since we last went. -

Burlington, MA
This is one of the times where I wish Yelp ratings were on a 10pt scale. This place is definitely a 7 for me as of now. We've gone there twice and the first time we loved it and the second time it pretty much sucked.
To start, the restaurant has a very nice ambiance and while I wouldn't say its upscale per say its definitely more rich than the typical Framingham/Natick restaurant. It also has a large lounge with nice TV screens.
The first time we came, I had a chicken/lamb gyro and my wife had the chicken kabob. Both were excellent. I liked the soup and my wife liked the salad that comes with your entree (one or the other). Note that chicken/lamb gyro is not a standard menu item. You can either get a chicken gyro or a lamb/pork gyro but I asked them to mix the chicken and lamb and they agreed.
Second time around we came at 9pm on a Sunday. Their website says they are open till 12am every day. They also don't seem to have their timings on the door. Anyway, we entered and approached the hostess who seemed to be wondering what we were doing till I said table for two (what else did you think we came for?). As she took us to her seat, we realized the restaurant was 90% empty and for the most part the people remaining already had their food except for maybe one other couple.
Waitress came over and took our drink orders. Upon our return with her drinks and after noticing there was a bunch of cleaning up going on, I asked her what time they close and she says 10pm but we're closing an hour early today because business is slow today. Great. You know how things usually turn out when you show up near closing time? Yep, pretty bad.
They forgot to heat the string beans on the side of one our entrees. She brought out soup instead of salad for me. Overall quality of food was much lower than the previous time. Waitress seemed to try to do her best to make it seem like "We're not trying to rush you" but we definitely felt they wanted us out as soon as possible.
Why don't you guys update the timings on your website and paste your timings on your door and stick to those timings instead of deciding to close an hour earlier.
We'll probably eat there one more time and depending on how it goes this is either going to get downgraded to two stars or will maintain its four stars (which is based on the first visit). -

Great value. The service is excellent. Warm and professional -- it's such a nice experience to have a waitress who is relaxed and friendly yet really knows how to pace the courses and serve the wine. Water glasses always full. Several waitstaff coming by to check our table to see if we might need something -- visually, not interrupting conversation to ask -- so you knot there's a good, teamwork vibe among the staff.
Pretty, white table cloth decor. It feels special but not stuffy. We went w/ 2 of our kids, and they felt welcome -- they split an entree onto two plates without our asking, which was perfect for them -- the beef souvlaki w/ roast potatoes, grilled w/ a little pink, just as ordered, and the kids ate it up.
We love trying new restaurants and different cuisines but sometimes you don't want a lot of complicated tastes all at once. Or the bustle of a more casual restaurant and the typical kids' menu w/ fries. This is a great, classic restaurant experience, delicious, well-seasoned food, attentive service, full bar and good wine list and plenty of silverware -- no taking a used fork off a plate to be used for the next course. When you want to go out to a nice place and be taken care of w/out spending a special-occasion amount. It would be great for multiple generations.
I'm reserving one star b/c some of the dishes had cooled off a little before they came to us, so I can't say it was perfect, but I did love the crisp, tangy salad to start. The dessert sampler of baklava, little fried dough balls w/ a light honey, and a baklava-ish one w/ custard instead of nuts was perfect for the family -- we scraped the platter.
A really, really nice, relaxing family dinner out. -

Twenty million times better inside than out. Looks like a bad motel outside and as I walked by the sign said "best lounge in metrowest" and I thought ha ya right! But it was so totally nice inside. Food was good, prices ok and there was a loyal lunch crowd there that filled a good number of the giant dining room. Plus the reason I went was a twenty dollar gift certificate I got in the mail. So I might not have ever gone, but now I'll most likely go back. Good job Aegean!

I have driven by the Aegean multiple times but, as the outward facade seemed nothing impressive, I've never been interested in checking this Greek restaurant out. Luckily, a friend threw a going away dinner at the Agean and introduced me to the restaurant that has (temporarily) filled the void of new and exciting restaurants in my life. The decor on the inside is immaculate.... from the cozy and chic booths to the ceilings, the place looks pristine. The food was also delightful.... the veggies were supremely green (the ones that were supposed to be green that is!) and steamed to perfect crispness. The pita, olive oil and feta dish has me almost filled before dinner arrived! Everything was prepared to perfection and there were no complaints in the entire party of 15. Though I did not try any of their wines, the list was comprised of a decent assortment and was reasonably priced.
I could go on but I won't.... I can not stop singing the Aegean's praises! -

AMAZING!!!
It was another Friday night and we were sick of the usual... Italian, sushi, Chinese... My husband suggested this Greek restaurant. I can't say enough about how amazing the food and service was. I'm kicking myself for not buying the groupon for this restaurant.
The oil with HOMEMADE feta and bread to dip, was terrific. My 9 yr old was practically licking the bowl after. The roasted potatoes are to die for. Lamb was great, gyro so wonderful and the rice pudding was homemade and excellent!
The restaurant was clean and our waitress was nice, knowledgable and I would go back in a heartbeat. -
Review from Ina C.
"This is the Cheesecake Factory of Greek food," he said. I couldn't agree more - a vast dining room, a chatty environment, casual but seemingly upscale, a pretty sizeable menu with a really wide variety, and food that's okay but not great.
The first thing I noticed was the noise level. It was deafening! We made reservations at 7 on a Saturday night, and thank goodness we did because the place was packed and LOUD. I could barely hear what someone right next to me was saying.
They offered two types of bread - a regular loaf and some pita. Dipping it into the olive oil/feta combo was pretty tasty. Next came our house salads, which were extremely acidic. Not bad, but it could've been less...extreme.
For our entrees, we ordered the scallop kabobs, roast spring leg of lamb and the mousaka. The scallop kabobs were JUST scallop kabobs. I didn't get to try them, but apparently they were alright. My roast spring leg of lamb was pretty much thin lamb cutlets with regular gravy on it. It seemed like something I could've gotten at the Sizzler. No special seasoning, really, and the gravy tasted like the McCormick's gravy mix.
The mousaka was the big winner, which was nothing more than a mixture of ground beef, potatoes, eggplant and topped with torched cheese (creme brulee style). It was pretty much like a Greek pot pie. The side rice pilaf was alright.
Not a horrible restaurant, but nothing special. -
Review from Ian W.
Very nice restaurant for Greek food. This restaurant was formerly Chi Chi's (I used to eat there all the time).
The lounge has comfortable seating, two flat panel TVs, framed printed artwork on the walls, and a full bar serving beer, wine, and mixed drinks (martinis, cosmopolitans, margaritas).
The main dining area is dimly lit with wall sconces, framed printed artwork on the walls, comfortable table seating (with white table cloth, yellow linen napkins & silverware) and hardwood floors surrounding the upper dining area.
I had dinner here on a recent Monday night. I was seated in the upper dining area. My server promptly came over to my table with a basket of loaf bread & pita bread with a bowl of olive oil, herbs, & crumbled Feta cheese for dipping (very good and filling) and some ice water. I ordered the House Sampler ($15.95) which included a Greek salad (lettuce, red onions, Greek olive, feta cheese, & dressing), decent.
The House Sampler was very good. It was a tasty platter of Mousaka , Pastichio, 2 Stuffed Grape Leaves with lemon sauce, Greek sausage, & Spinach Pie with a side of Roasted Potatoes. I was only able to eat half of my dinner because I filled up on bread, so I had the rest to go and skipped dessert.
The service here was good and prompt. My ice water glass was constantly filled by the staff and the plates were cleared quickly when I was finished. -

This is the place I go for lamb. I usually don't like eating lamb, but it's this place that enlightened me. This is the best Greek joint I've been to.
This time around I had a scallop kabob. I was surprised by the length of it. They've always done a pretty decent job with seafood.
The bartenders here are very nice and good at what they do. The lounge has a nice ambiance. -

Cool lounge and big drinks, sweet! Great waiter and that oil w feta and pita at the table was so delish. Greek salad stood out due to really great dressing . Meat platter was really good too nice variety and the lamb and chicken were outstanding. Didn't get a fourth star because the potato and rice sides were just weird- not Greek but more like rice w gravy - ewwewwwww .

I don't really don't know what Greek food is supposed to be like, but I love this place. I've been twice, both times at pretty off hours so it was quiet and chill.
When you first walk in it looks pretty fancy, but it is just a regular kind of place. Lots of blue hairs and you know that means decent food at a decent price. We've had the same waitress both times. She is really sweet and nice, so that was cool. The place is pretty big, good sized tables, a lounge bar area that I want to sit in one of these times.
The food is good. We love the grape leaves. They give you bread and olive oil with feta when you sit down. Yum. Then if you order a meal you get a salad. And I always get feta on my salad. So if you are lactose intolerant, don't bother going to this place.
The first time I went I got a seafood pasta and it was good. My boyfriend got some Greek lasagna thing...which he loves. This time, he got the Greek Dinner Sampler...enough food to feed like 10 people. I got the beef kabobs. They were good, it was a lot of food. It was great. And we always get this dessert with like a cheese custardy middle..that is good too. We always eat WAY too much and leave there in a coma and have to drive back to the city. I'm so glad this place isn't closer. I'd be there all the time and I'd look like it too!!! -

I have a great meal here every time I go!
Atmosphere is soft and romantic. Open kitchen adds a wonderful touch.
Ask to be seated with Denise. She's an incredible server whose spot on with recommendations.
I would recommend the Agean in Framingham to anyone. -

Where Chi-Chi's once sat is now the new home of the newly redesigned Aegean Restaurant. Barely two blocks away is where this place got its start in a tiny plaza located just off of Route 9 heading westbound. It has come a long way from it's 200 person capacity and is now serving well over 10 times as many guests.
Once you enter the doors you'll be directly across from the large bar and immediately to the left enormous dining area. Waiters and waitresses will be walking around dressed in black, you'll see tables full of well portioned meals and conversation in every direction. The kitchen is fully visible through the high glass windows with the "AR" logos.
Shortly after being seated your waiter will greet you, carefully in detail give you the days specials and take your drink order. A few minutes later they'll return with drinks, pita bread and olive oil/feta cheese in hand. Take some time to look at the menu carefully and choose something you think you'll enjoy. The Aegean offers an extensive menu with many different dishes to choose from. Most meals come with a house salad and the signature dressing. If you are like me and do not care for feta cheese be sure to ask for it off the salad.
A few lunch or dinner suggestions:
-Chicken Fingers
-Broiled Half Chicken (bigger than you expect)
-Veal Cutlet Parmesean
-Lamb Souvlaki
-Baked Spring Lamb (meat slides off bones, sooooo good!)
-Stuffed Shrimp with Crabmeat Stuffing (nom nom nom!)
When most places move to a new location the menu changes as well as the food quality. This is one of the few places I know of where things have stayed the same and always serving excellent food. No matter when you come to the Aegean you can expect a good meal any time of the day. And if for some reason something isn't right they'll make sure you leave happy.
Ask for Bobby* He is one of the best servers and extremely friendly! -

My friend was visiting from out of town and his family is based in Framingham so he suggested we try the Aegean which was relatively new at that time. I live in Watertown and think the Aegean there is grossly overrated but didn't want to be rude. So I figured, let's see if this location will be better.
And by George, it was! The house salad was the best salad I have EVER had anywhere! It was fresh, light, and the perfect combination of ingredients. There was not a veggie or crumb to be found on my plate when the server came to clear the table.
The ambiance at this location is also warmer, more romantic, and there is a better traffic flow in the place. My main entree, the lamb youvetsi (braised lamb with orzo and cheese) was amazing. I couldn't finish it as it was a hearty portion, but it tasted just as good the next day reheated. Service was efficient -- our water glasses were refilled constantly and they didn't rush us out although it was a busy Saturday and there was a slight wait later in the evening.
Whenever I tell people I live in Watertown, they suggest we go to the Aegean which is less than 5 minutes away from my house. I always come up with an excuse to avoid it. BUT if anybody suggested I drive 30 minutes instead to the one in Framingham, count me in! And that is coming from somebody who doesn't usually put Greek food at the top of the cuisine list.Listed in: Great Date Places

Best Greek food ever.
Try the Moussaka, Pastichio, or any fish dish. Huge portions, oustanding service. Good for both lunch and dinner, big and small crowds.
This is one of New England's finest restaurants. Service is top rail and food is absolutely lipsmacking wildly sumptuous. -

I love this place. The lunch specials are crazy cheap, they have cocktail specials in the lounge for $5 right now and the service is always right on.
Wonderful fresh salads, excellent dinners. My all time favorites are the lamb yuvetsi (I spelled that badly) and the lemon roast potatoes. It can get loud in the lounge (it is made of a lot of glass and open space), but the dining room is beautiful and the staff care about what they do. There are other Greek places around, but I am always disappointed and wished I had gone to the Aegean. -

I really liked the atmosphere with it's wide open areas and subtle ambiance. The private rooms allowed for conversation and the very accomodating staff was well trained.
I seemed to have liked everyone else's meal except mine. I should have listened to the waiter and got the rack of lamb or the quail... both were sensational.
Probably the first Greek restaurant I've eaten at that didn't have Gyro's on the menu, which I'm not sure is a good or bad thing... I really love Gyro's.
Try this place for something new and different, but like everyone said in their reviews... get the rack of lamb! Whats better than baby sheep....mmmmmm. -

We ordered take-out for a big meeting in my office building. To start off with, they got our giant order correct, which doesn't happen often with other restaurants. 20+ entrees and each had the right sides, extras, etc.
I didn't see much of the atmosphere when I picked up, but the staff was super-nice and helped get all our stuff in the car.
The food was excellent. I had the grilled octopus and it was marinated to perfection. The rice pilaf was good, but I could have done without the gravy on top. Everyone loves their salads and sandwiches.
For once, everyone at the meeting is happy. I would definitely go here for a sit-down dinner to find out more about it. Thank you, Aegean! -
