The best homebrew supply store in the tri county area. Prices can not be beat. Service is really good. They have everything. I once had an issue with a CO2 regulator I purchased from them. Talked to one employee who transferred me to the the owner, who then walked em through what I was doing wrong and even gave me his personal cell number to call him after hours if I was still having trouble!!

Although I've only ordered from the website I am a fan. These guys are friendly and prompt. Out of about 12 items only had a small problem with 1 and it was resolved.

They have EVERYTHING you would need to make beer, wine and other adult beverages. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and there's usually at least one sample brew on tap at no charge. Seriously, what more could you ask for?  Can't wait for them to open their Ann Arbor location!

I drive past a couple other homebrewing shops to get to Adventures.

The staff there is top notch.  They are friendly and knowledgeable, and will answer any question you have. Having someone talk me through the brewing process was invaluable when I was getting started.

Adventures seems to have pretty high turnover, which is important because fresh ingredients makes better beer. They also have practically everything you could possibly want or need. It's fun to go just to look at all the brewing gadgets.

If you've ever thought about making your own beer or wine, head over to Adventures in Homebrewing for everything you need.

in my own adventures in homebrewing i came across this lovely little hamlet.
i am not a beer master yet.  somewhere between novice and intermediate i would place myself.  self made recipes still frighten me.
i was a little afraid during my first visit.  the stock seemed to be so disorganized to me.  i was frightened by the back room that had bulk grains and malt.  basically i was afraid of the knowledge that everyone seemed to posses except me.
this place is set up for serious brewers.
the employees eased my fright.  each was willing and able to help me in my quest to make good beer.  i felt like i was purchasing quality ingredients.  i tried my first top tier yeast.
overall, i was happy with the experience and it made me want to try harder at my favorite hobby.  thank you adventures in homebrewing for pushing me past my comfort zone.
why must you be in taylor so far from my house?
    love, juston

Can't say enough good things about this place.  The selection of grains, syrups, dried malt extract, and various adjuncts is remarkable.  The staff, very knowledgeable about craft brewing and wine making.  They are also very approachable and will answer your questions without making you feel like a n00b.

This place is simply amazing.  They have an incredible selection of every ingredient and device you'd ever want to when homebrewing.  The staff is also incredibly knowledgable.  The owner, John, is there most of the time and is like an encyclopedia of homebrew info.

He got my friend Jordan and I going on homebrewing back in college and we continue the J&D Brewery tradition to this day, despite being half way across the country from each other.

2 biggest reasons I love this place:
    1) They're online so I can still order from them, and shipping is pretty cheap (about $7)

    2) Amazing recipes! John really knows what he's doing and he makes recipes for almost everything, all of which have been fabulous.

I ended up finding loads of concord grapes on our property and decided to make wine out of them. I happened to stumble upon Adventures in Home Brewing right here on yelp and thought to myself, how convenient it is that I should find this place at the same time as the grapes. It seemed meant to be so I went in there today. These guys are so knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me find everything I needed to get started on the cheap and I walked out after paying around $20 for everything I needed. I could spend some serious time in here checking out all the gadgets. I'll be going back to buy my bottles and corks when I need them. These guys are great.
