Review from Bryan S.
This place reminds me of the old days when i was a kid. Not that I'm old myself but hey, it just gives me that warm feeling inside when you just explore and jump around being all goofy and this place is really a great experience to just hang out for once and not think about all of the superficial things that people talk about instead you just play and have fun with friends here not using coarse joking.
This establishment carries:
1.Batting cages which also varies in different speeds that the ball is thrown and you can also hit softballs?! if your into that kind of stuff.
2. Putt putt golf: pretty decent size or shall I say tremendously huge?
3.Go kart racing: This is pretty much self explanatory but just imagine a part of the track going above the main track. Kind of like a bridge that overlaps the track which is awesome.
4. Video Games; pretty much all of the kiddy games but whats better than that huH? where kids can be kids, and where adults can pwned kids and feel good about their self esteem without feeling like a jerk.
Overall conclusion:
I think this is just a great place for anyone, even casual dates or maybe to bring a couple of friends to have some man time/ Girls night out. So if you decide to not drink, than come here to insurmountable options of fun where you can just be yourself minus the high expense.
regards,

Adventure Landing is a nice place to take the kids when it's time for a change of scenery. Prices seem a little steep, but not so much not to go from time to time.

When I was in high school, this is the type of place that we drove an hour to visit. Although the allure has faded a bit, it still kicks ass that this is in my back yard.
OK, I would give it 5 stars for the batting cage alone. What the heck happened to all of those? Just because the Rangers haven't been to the playoffs in 10 years , you have to close down all the cages? How the heck is local talent supposed to develop? Seriously, they have 8 cages of varying speeds and they generally work real well. Truly a rare find!
On the flip side, the arcade kind of sucks, which caused me to drop one star. The games seemed out of old and ready to be retired. Does no one care now that every other kid has a Wii?
If you're looking for deals, winter is your time of year. When I was there on Thursday night. They had a $9 all-you-can-play putt-putt (although I'm worried that they will charge you extra for all of the hyphens). Heck, you were going to spend that money on some piss-poor movie anyway. Put on a sweater, grab your shaft.....of your putter, of course.....and put that windmill to shame.
All in all, it's a great place to be a kid again. I keep hoping I'll run into Avril Lavigne some time (Hey, hey......you, you, I don't like your.....talk about guilty pleasures) -

Had my birthday party there a couple weeks ago.
IT ROCKED! My theme was party like it's 1992 . . . I had a laser tag, putt putt, and go karts . . . it was greatness! They didn't even give us crap for being a little tipsy . . .
I've played better laser tag. I've played better putt putt. I've driven cooler go karts. But you throw them all together . . . and this place was perfect for what we were looking for. I highly recommend, and even through whiskey goggles I can tell that it's a great place for kids, and they are very accommodating. -

Do-not-host-your-child's-birthday-party-here. There. I said it. My son wanted go carts for his 9th birthday and I thought, "Adventure Landing. Sure. It's close to home and the kids liked it the last time they were there." The kids had a great time but as a parent I did not like the service. Kids can make anything fun. Our "hostess" was awful. She did not smile, interact with the kids or the parents at all. I had to serve my own pizza and drinks. I literally had to go pick up the pizza orders from the counter and serve my guests myself. I thought they are supposed to bring your pizzas and serve the kids. Apparently I am wrong. The idea here is you use their party room, you order your food and drinks and pick it up yourself, grab your tokens and attraction tickets from the hostess, pay and then do whatever you like. Yup. In that order.

I went here because of the reviews i'd heard about the batting cages.
Guys. GUYS, SERIOUSLY. They were awesome. I can't remember the last time i found a place with 80mph batting cages around here. The machines are in good shape and only flake out once every few rounds, which is a perfect time to catch your breath because you are out of shape and embarrasing yourself. They also tend to 'loosely enforce' the helmet rule. That's nice because really? I have to wear that nerdy-ass helmet with a facemask? Really?
In summary: now it's possible to look like an idiot while swinging away at pitches way too fast for my scrub-tier batting skills! You can too, ask me how! -

Took the lovely 9-year-old nephew on his Birthday outing to Adventure Landing! Overall, loads of fun, really! He had a blast, the go-karts were a good time, he rode shotgun in a double go-kart and did the kid karts too... bumper boats, mini golf, batting cages and arcade games! Fun stuff. However, the staff is HORRIBLE. These kids are lazy lazy, not at all friendly, I don't believe we saw a single smiling staff member and just downright rude at times. Lots of kids just standing around behind the concession area, with just one register open. What's up with that? The lines were way long at times as one area did both concessions and tokens/quest passes. Not cool. The mini golf courses are all sorts of lame, but at the same time I appreciate the simple layout of them as they don't get too backed up due to challenging holes. I do think that $16 for one go-kart ride, one bumper boat ride and one round of mini gold is beyond ridiculous, especially when you spend additional money to play arcade games and batting cages. Plus we had to pay to do the go-karts with him and play mini golf with him. It was easily $100 for three of us to enjoy the day at Adventure Landing, with snacks and such too.
All in all, really, it was fun, the kid had a blast. The boyfriend and I were just way annoyed by the crappy staff... I expect these places to be horrifically overpriced, but I can still bitch about it. -

Ended up here today for a work meeting and it wasn't that bad. The best thing about it was there was no one there but us so we had free reign to everything the place has to offer: go-karts, bumper boats, laser tag, mini-golf and video games.
Not as nice as, say, SpeedZone on 35 or a brand new Putt-Putt, but it does the trick. -

First, let me say that I am giving this plce 3 stars simply because little (clueless) kids really enjoyed themselves.
That being said, note the following:
1. Prices are high for the quality of the attraction. Golf, bumper boats, racetrack will set you back $7 each per person. Take a couple of kids and you will easily hit $100 in a couple of hours.
2. Putt putt courses are dull and outdated. Mostly sloped greens, no major obstacles to navigate. Water ponds in the golf area smelled stagnant. Even with trees, the golf course is HOT, so go early.
3. Arcade area has mostly games of chance, not true skill games. Not a lot to choose from. It is airconditioned though so you can take anbreak from the outdoors.
4. Bumper boats are in a pretty small swimming pool area. For our turn there were 5 boats going and that was plenty. Any more and you wouldn't be able to move. You will get soaking wet since the boats have squrtguns on them.
5. Batting cages were fine, mybe a little off-aim but that adds to the hitting challenge. This didn't seem like as much of a ripoff; $2 got you 30 pitches and there were online coupons where $5 got you 150 pitches.
Overall the place is just old and funky. The kids loved it though! Probably a place you would do one time and not any more. -

we came here for a birthday party for a nephew, and as adults, had a great time! they have great outdoor games, and good indoor ones as well. only downside was the line for additional attractions, coins, food, etc is all the same and it has one register, so you can imagine the insanity on a beautiful sunday afternoon. YUCK! minus one star..
Other than that the kids had a blast. They even have bumper boats that squirt water, and me and a friend took 2 kids on it and we got soaked! but it was welcome on the hot day - we felt like kids again as well.
they even have smaller kid go-karts, so the 3 -5 year olds were tall enough to get on and it was hilarious. I would recommend this to everyone looking to take their kids out somewhere fun.
forgot to mention they have golf, batting cages, and adult go-karts as well. -

Good gosh I remember coming here in middle school. Nothing's changed much either. You have your miniature golf course, batting cages, go-karts, laser-tag, and arcade. The arcade seems a bit lacking nowadays and I'm not so sure about the laser tag. The golf course is in tact and while not as great as Malibu's per se, it's still fun. You get your golf ball and club for about $8 a person (remember not to play the 18th hole!). I haven't tried the go-karts or batting cage but they looked in working condition. All in all not a bad place to spend a few hours with friends or family.

I go to adventure landing at least once a month to use their batting cages. They have a pretty nice setup. Prices are moderate. They let you borrow bats free of charge or you can bring your own bat. The pitching isn't always great here. I have a friend that owned a batting cage and I know they had to adjust the machines at least two times a week to see how the pitching was. I know you have to adjust the machines when the weather changes because the metal or steel of the machines gets affected by the weather. whether it is hot or cold. I don't know how frequently they maintenance their machines at adventure landing, but I know the wheels have to be sanded at least once a week to maintain good pitching. I usually try different speeds when I go to adventure landing batting cages. My routine is warm up in a slow cage, then get into the faster cages. I know the pitching isn't going to be perfect, but overall the pitching was either too low or too far right or left. In the very slow pitch baseball cage, I had to step all the way up because the balls weren't reaching the plate. On this particular visit, the machines were acting up. There were around 30-40 customers there. Four of the machines weren't getting filled with balls, so we were just standing there. Some one immediately came out, but there was a technical problem behind the machines. It seemed like the conveyor belt in the back had stopped functioning correctly. I finished my round and headed home. While they have an employee at the front selling tokens, I believe they should just have one person watching the machines to see that they are running smoothly. They definitely have enough employees working here to be able to do that.

Another reviewer talked about having a party here with the theme "like it's 1992." This place was likely outdated then. If Adventure Landing has any charm, it's kitsch or nostalgia for the '80s. Let's take it activity by activity. Miniature golf. Around 1992, Scotty's Golf Park was opening over at Park and Abrams. That had far better courses. Maybe mini golf is supposed to be bad. I could get behind that notion. Adventure Landing's courses are certainly quite poor. The video games are outdated. The laser tag is terrible, but, then again, maybe laser tag is supposed to be terrible. Decent batting cages that have their fair share of mechanical problems. Didn't try out the go-karts. Sans booze, I didn't feel any of the charm.
