While on vacation   one of the things on my list were to go Kayaking... I found a coupon on a half off site and away  we went.   Our guide was very attentive and knowledgeable. Our tour lasted about 2 hrs and we had the pleasure of seeing about 6 manatee a few dolphins, egrets and other native birds to the region.

We went in October  and were not attacked but the swarms of mosquito but our guide did say they do become vicious during  the warmer months.

This guy doesnt deserve any business. Where do I start... It took Bill 15 minutes to answer the typical straight forward questions of times they leave, how much, when is the last tour etc.  I called at 9am telling Bill we were 3 hrs out he refused to put us down for a reservationwhen I told him for sure we would be there. He told me to call when we were half way from the attraction which I did and then he told me that they are not doing anymore tours today because that would be too late, joke is we were running 30 minutes earlier than we said during the first call. Regardless, instead of stringing us along from the beginning he should have told me that the first time I called that it wasn't going to work. What a joke.

Located on an inlet of the Banana River, it is easily accessible. We decided after a few inquires to go with Adventure Kayak, as the kayaks have a deeper seating feature making my grandmother feel a bit more comfortable. We reserved our spot the day before which is highly recommended. Asking a few questions from the gentlemen Bill, there wasn't much expansion on details or  enthusiasm. We arrived at 8:15 for our 8:30 appointment. We were handed paperwork to fill out, sunscreen, + insect repellant. We were given a brief summary of use of life jackets, dry bags, etc. (Life jackets are quite old + mildew-y) We were then directed over to the kayaks. (Not exactly clean + sanitized) They offer tandem + singles. Our group of nine quickly paddled into the water. Excited at the promise of manatees + dolphins quickly became quite annoyed at out tour guide, Bill. He was constantly on the phone taking reservations and stopping mid tour to take calls. We saw three manatees from a difference. We were taken through the "thousand islands" only to be attacked by vicious mosquitos. I  think if we had an enthused, interested tour guide it would have made it a bit more fun. As a group of nine, we took it upon ourselves to be silly + make the best of it. I  do not think i would recommend Adventure Kayaks..it is reasonable in cost, but I like my tour guides to be a little more upbeat.
