This place. Man, just so delightful...
There is not one, not two, but THREE golf adventures. You can make your way through the Lost Continent (watch out for piranhas and quick sand), putt your way through Buccaneer Bay, and have a "scare" at Adventure Cove. This is a great place to bring your kid, your date, or yourself. Did I tell you that Adventure Golf and Raceway has a zero cool ornamentation? With colorful plants to singing skulls on a stick, this place has it all.
*NOTE* The volcanoes do erupt with bursts of flame which may startle and presumably scare little children under the age of 3.
At this place, you don't need to bring food (Unless you have a specific thing you need). Just bring your money because you have several options of catering:
Par Package - $9.50/person
Birdie Package - $10.50/person
Eagle Package - $12.50/person
Ace Package - $14.50/person
or you can upgrade to Adventure Club Upgrade - $60 which can hold 40 people in a private indoor room that has air-conditioning/heating, popcorn, and a big screen t.v. according to their website ( http://www.adventurego...)
Putt Putt, Food...what else could there be?
THE RACEWAY! My personal favorite. My friend and I went to their raceway and stayed there for hours on end! Fun stuff. Parents, you can also drive your child if he/she is 36". People, these go-carts are pretty fast and will keep you smiling the whole ride! Also, they don't just have go-carts to keep you busy... they have BUMPER CARS!! Yes! Those wild things that you are allowed to ram into your friend with speed! It's all fun if you are 44"+ so that you can drive a go-cart, drive a bumper car, and to have a awesome colored putter.
I hope this review got you hooked and ready...so... Have a good time! -

Well I have been coming here since I was in 2nd grade, so it has a special place in my heart. :-)
I haven't tried the go-kart course, just the putt-putt courses which are beautiful and super fun and interesting.
The best part? Real fire bursting from a volcano when you get the ball in the correct hole.
By the way, they are OPEN for the season! It was perfect weather yesterday when we were there. -

This place is the poo! When you're taking your preschooler for his first mini-golf experience, you've got to rein in the cusswords, so I'll say it again: this place is THE POO.
It's not the most challenging mini-golf course I've ever played, but the landscaping and overall attention to detail more than makes up for the lack of difficulty or variety on each actual hole. It's really amazing... I wish my backyard looked like this place! Super-lush and tons of water features and oh, hello! A real volcano with real flames? Say whaaaat? It lets off a pretty loud BOOM every ten minutes or so, which can kind of mess with your short game if you're unlucky enough to be aiming for the cup at the very second it goes off. You've been warned.
We played the Haunted House course and the Lost Continent course. We'll hit up the Pirate-themed course another day... very much looking forward to it! Totally worth the $8-ish bucks it costs to play. -

Boyfriend and I had an "Underage Date Night" that started with grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner, putt putting, and a trip to Toys R Us.
This place was super cute. We went on a Tuesday, and didn't get the unlimited deal... but still played all three courses. Just don't put your ball in the last hole, and you can just jump around. No one really monitors. I was so in love with the princess castle hole that blows bubbles when you get it in the hole. You KNOW I played that same hole 5 times in a row :)
The girls at the front were not legal and not very bright... but that's cool, only had to deal with them for a few minutes.
Added bonus... this place is home to a wild bunny colony. We saw about 15 little rabbits hopping around in the grass. It was the cutest thing ever! -

We just held a fundraiser here, the staff was super helpful, all of our guests seemed to have a great time with the Putt putt and the go charts!
I did not get to participate in anything, (I have a broken ankle right now :-() but I will be going back to check this place out for myself! -
Review from Ciara G.
For $17.95 you can't beat the price but you gotta ask yourself one important question, "How much time do you really want to spend out of your day here?"
18 holes of mini golf where each hole pretty much is like the last is kind of weak. But when a few in your group get a hole in one on the last hole it kind of makes it all worth while. And what's up with hole #2? That one was the hardest!
Go Karting seems like a blast in theory so that's why you got Adventure Pack #2 for the two Go Kart tickets. But after waiting in line for an hour and you're ready to just get out of line, it is finally your turn. You take the drivers seat and hit the pavement. The wind blows in your face as you speed around the track, and it all makes complete sense and that 6 minute and 30 second ride becomes all worth while. But you better believe we didn't wait in that long ass line again to use our second ticket. We'll come back on a weekday for that.Listed in: CG Does Denver

Bring OFF! Or bug repellant of some sort.
I have gone to Boondocks and I wasn't too impressed. I love how this place has 3 different courses and like what Freddie S. said, keep your ball and don't play the last hole if you have the time to go through other courses. It's not monitored at all.
I went twice within a week about 2 weeks ago and all I can remember was dancing around like crazy trying to avoid the bugs. There were puddles of water everywhere in the park and they are breeding ground for mosquitos. I think had I sprayed myself with OFF! all over I probably would have a better time concentrating on my putting skills.
Beware of the loud volcano thumps, a lot of kids got scared when they were playing the holes right next to the shooting flames. If you are a Westminster resident and have a resident card that you got from the local gyms (Westminster City Gyms) you qualify for a small discount.... I believe it's around $2 off.
I didn't try the go karts nor the new bumper cars. It's definitely fun afternoon with friends and family. Don't come if you're not kids friendly. There will be a lot of them around. -

Came here with my 20-something friends for a Saturday funday. Did the go-kart racing, and a round of mini-golf.
The go-karts were very fun. Not super fast. But it was a relatively good track and we had fun spinning other cars.
The lines were short, and the employees were kind.
They don't serve booze. Which is appropriate given the target demographic. But is something to keep in mind.
The minigolf was good. Bring bug spray. -

Whenever someone asks me if I want to go Putt-Putting I always say yes. And then as the day draws closer I start dreading my answer. (Why do I do that?) I always end up having a fun time!
We came here (seven of us) on a Saturday in April at 5 pm. I was surprised that it wasn't swarmed with preteens running around unsupervised and teens making out in the corners. That's how I remembered it from several years ago. Alright, I'm done sounding like an old man.
We had fun, it took about an hour and a half to complete one course with our group. We did let a lot of people go ahead of us because groups of two or three went through the holes a lot faster than we did. The prices are decent. We didn't try the raceway, but it looked fun. We enjoyed the overall atmosphere (something I didn't really notice when I was younger). This time I noticed there are animatronics and songs to listen to while you golf. It's like a mini Disneyland for Colorado. (But don't expect Disneyland or you'll be disappointed.) -

Best putt-putt golf courses in Colorado!
This place has been around since I was a kid. They have three miniature golf courses, each with it's own creative theme and adventure to choose from. They have also added a go-cart track and some other rides pretty recently.
I can't speak for the go-cart track or the speed raceway, but I can say that the putt-putt golf courses have been a personal favorite of mine for some time! I like how interactive the courses can be and how entertaining they still are, ten years later. It is a very clean environment that is always meticulously maintained.
I would also recommend going on a weekday as some people have suggested, because Friday/Saturday times seem to be the busiest. -

There were Flames! Not just little flames, but HUGE flames!
This place is what mini-golf should be! Three different courses each having their own special design, Pirate ships, canons, an airplane crashed in the water, talking tiki huts, moving obstacles, bubbles, volcanoes, bridges, lakes and did I mention FLAMES? This place was awesome! I laughed, I cried, I even got a hole in one!
Each week we try and do date night, and this place was perfect. We putt putted two different courses and walked around holding hands like Junior high kids sneaking after curfew. Next time we'll definitely try the third course, most definitely the go karts, and I might even let my sweetie win one! -

I really have to give the City of Westminster props (does anyone really say that anymore?) for running the best recreation programs... Adventure Golf being one of them.
I remember way back when, when they started with their first mini-golf course. They now have 4! Each has their own unique theme: haunted, Egyptian, lost explorer and something else that I forget.
Each hole is fun and creative with features like bridges, tunnels, fog, crazy lights, or talking skeletons.
It's a cheap and fun way to spend a summer evening, and a makes for a really great date!Listed in: Dating Do's

A great place to feel like a teenager again, and great for "date night," whatever that is. It's best to go on a weekday, though; Friday and Saturday nights during the summer are way too busy here. Last time we went we were stuck at The Lost Continent behind about 6 huge groups, and we ended up giving up.
The courses are the most creative I've seen. There are three different fun "themes," although Lost Continent is by far the best. I love it when the volcano erupts in fire, even though it makes me jump every time. The last hole in that course is also fun because the tiki statues shoot water at you if you miss. The raceway is pretty cool, but the line is also very long for such a short drive. I have never been on the Dragster ride. There used to be an arcade but that is now gone. ::sad face::
Even though the staff are all teenagers, they've always been pretty nice about our environmental concerns. One time my fiance talked to the manager about the non-native plant Myrtle Spurge growing rampantly on the grounds; when we went back, the weeds were gone. Also, the last time, there was a huge (I mean huge!) pile of packing Styrofoam peanuts in the parking lot, and a girl who worked there walked out with us to look at it and agreed to clean it up. (I don't know if they did, but she seemed concerned enough.) -

Bought the unlimited pack ahead of time and really wish we hadn't. Go cart track is tiny. Bumper cars even more tiny. Poorly designed mini golf. The only redeeming quality is landscaping. Maybe entertaining for kids for a brief period, but not big enough to spend much time here.

Review from Hannah E.
Three affordably priced mini-golf courses that include erupting volcanos, exploding heads, bubble-blowing castles, flashing-eyed sphinxes, water-spitting sarcastic statues, spewing fountains, and haunted houses with slamming doors. They've got dippin' dots, and real food too. This place beats Gateway Fun Park in Boulder by light-years.
But why can't they bolt down their putt-putt obstacles so people don't pick them up and move them? This must be a phenomenon exclusive to Colorado - self-adjusting course difficulty, perhaps? - because I've never seen it anywhere else, but have seen it twice in this area.
Regardless of strange self-handicapping golf adjustables, I'll be back. My favorite hole is the one where the course looks like a coral atoll! -

So Fun!
There's 3 complex Mini-Golf courses, all individually themed, each with cool "last holes" like exploding volcanoes, water-shooting statues, and the Bubble Castle! (I keep meaning to go back on a nice day and grab Bubble photos! Maybe in Spring.)
They've got a decent Go-Kart track, and a thrill ride thing that propels you forward and yanks you back repeatedly on a track. Kinda cool, for a little Mini-Golf place, eh?
It gets packed on Weekend Nights, so go with your patience.Listed in: Unique Date Night!

Fall is the worst time for putt putt. It's cold and the stupid leaves are all over the place.
I remember before the promenade was built and this used to be one of The places to hang out. It has evolved a little, but it definitely has lost some of the hype it once had. And also a few of the groundskeepers? One of the pool had the familiar odor of the Platte and there were leaves and twigs everywhere on all the courses.
But they do have 3 different golf courses and go carts and drag racing (which closes for the fall). Which makes it a kinda fun place to go, more so in the summer. -

I used to come here when I was in high school and loved the place. I recently went back and found that I really never stopped loving it. It feels a little different since they upgraded the place with racing and now I have to pay because not all of my friends work there, but still it's a quality time.
For $13 you get unlimited golfing on the three courses and a go around the race track. I don't know if you can go pro in putt-putt/Go carts, but I should cause I abused the place. 4 under after 54 holes and I won the race... just sayin Nike look me up.
The bathrooms were no less then what I expected them to be and the new food and beverage stand is of pretty good quality. The down side to the place is definitely the staff and the later crowds. The staff is comprised of a bunch of high school kids who would rather talk about which of them that one chick was looking at. As for the crowds, if you don't get there early expect to wait at every hole. -

This place was pretty cool. We played the lost continent course. The volcano was neat, and the 18th hole has an unexpected surprise (which I won't give away).
I wish that more of the holes actually had interesting things that you hit the ball into. There were really only 2 on the lost continent course (including the final hole). I like mini golf courses where you hit the ball into some sort of structure and it comes out in an interesting way.
It was a very neat and well kept course, though. -

Great family place. Three separate courses, all looked fun. Bumper cars and it looks like they are renovating an area for a new attraction. Reasonably priced as well.

I don't think I have had so fun since I was a little kid!
Go Karts were faster than I thought they would be and the track was smooth and authentic, and you can totally use drifting techniques in those karts.
The mini golf was a blast. My girlfriend said she had been coming here since she was a wee tot, but the lights, turf, scenery and everything suggested 2 years old tops, very well maintained.
The staff in the ticket office, not really informed, but we figured it out.
Definitely coming back and racing my childhood buddy to some races. -

I loved the creativity they did with mini-golf courses. One was swamped with water because the fountain had broken but it was a lot of fun on the other 2 courses. The courses are challenging enough yet not too easy. I haven't tried the carts, although next time I think I will. I came here with my boy-friend on a Sunday afternoon and it was surprisingly not packed. Usually we've tried coming here on a Saturday or Friday and the line for admissions is quite a wait. We were glad we didn't have to wait too long. I would highly recommend this place. It's comparable to Boondock's mini golf. Hopefully, next time we come here the 3rd course wont be swamped with water. Eek! :)

Putt-putt is fine, but it's the race cars we come here for. "If you want to be a champion, you need to work hard on and off the race track," I tell my 3-year-old. He nods. We check his height. "A few more inches to go before you can race solo." We walk down to the race track and get strapped into old #44. "Let's take a shakedown lap at half speed." Despite my plea, we're soon screaming around the track. I watch my son anticipate each turn; his level of concentration is awesome. All I can hear is that CAKE song: "The sun has gone down and the moon has come up, and long ago somebody left with the cup. But he's driving and striving and hugging the turns, and thinking of someone for whom he still burns...He's going the distance, he's going for speed...."

Thank goodness I had a groupon for this....We went on a Sunday, they were supposed to open at 10:00am and my daughter and I with other guests waited outside of a locked gate wondering if they were open. Gate were opened without fanfare and no greeting. At the ticket window a girl says the computers are not "up" and we wait for someone else to figure out how to help us. Eventually she pushes a couple of wrist bands towards us. Again, no greeting, no instructions, certainly no welcome wagon. Next I experienced their restroom. Can't believe it wasn't even clean and we were the first customers. One toilet not even flushed (and not just #1!!!) Then we go get our golf clubs, you have to ask for everything, no one offered assistance. We got a club then waited for balls, no score card and noone tells you where the course starts. After golf we went to bumper cars and no one was there, raceway, no one! All the way back to the cashier and ask again for service...eventually we are helped at the bumper cars and raceway. The young attendant says they are understaffed. Good to know. In that case I would try even harded to help the guest feel welcome. Won't go back.

This is one of the best miniature golf courses I have ever played on. There are 3 courses which offer a variety of challenges and strategy. Since this is more challenging than other courses, it may not be good for young children or those who are noobs. Go early in the day and try to avoid weekends unless you like waiting behind slow groups. Great place and watch out for the 18th hole.

My 9 yr old gearhead LOVED that he could go multiple times on the raceway with their 54" height requirement. The dragster ride is like a horizontal Tower of Doom. I needn't have blown dry my hair before going on the ride. Super fun, can be affordable if you don't let your kids talk you into unlimited rides. Very nicely kept grounds, friendly staff, and a surprisingly good grilled chicken sandwich. Westminster is far out of my area, but we'd go back. I detest miniature golf, but endured 12 holes with my daughter before I blissfully lost the ball in the vulture's tree. I got spooked at the graveyard when the guy raised up from behind the tombstone. Good work by the Hyland Hills rec department. Love it.

I consider myself to be a put put whore meaning I got to try out a put put at least once. This one was one of my favorites. They got great mini courses and technology on the courses that are not usually with your typical put puts. This one is well worth coming back to again and again!

Definitely one of the better miniature golf places I've been to. A lot of challenging holes. Great theming. Most of them are straightforward holes but some have buildings, etc. Because the holes are complex, people who aren't good, such as kids and idiots, and those in large groups will take a very long time. Go early and on weekdays. Bring a hat and sunscreen. make sure at the 18th hole to admire your shot

I have been going to Adventure Golf for years! Hands down the best putt-putt around. They have three courses to choose from and a newly added go kart track. YES!!! Super cheap if you are a Hyland Hills resident, too.
