Alexandra is fantastic. She uses the best products for all of her services and you can tell that she actually cares about the quality of her work. She is a true aesthetician and I would trust her with any treatment, waxing or tinting that you need done.
Cash only though, so you actually have to wait until payday instead of using the old credit card. But she's worth the wait! -

Alexandra may take a little getting used to, but this Russian phenomenon is great. I had the best bikini wax there! She uses organic wax, even offers a numbing spray to curb the pain (and thank god she does) and the table you lay on even has a heating pad!
It's close to my work downtown so I decided to give her a try. It's an old building and her hours are by appointment only most of the time, but she's very accomodating. It's just a tiny little room, so um, it's pretty intimate--but considering what you're getting done, it's not likely you'll be hiding anywhere, heh.
Alexandra is amazing! She is highly trained (lots of certificates from Europe), provides very personal service, and is totally professional. She make you feel very comfortable (cute little towel skirt!) and she is truly dedicated to her field.
She walks through personalized skin treatments (does facials too) and I had virtually no irritation after my wax.
It's cash only, so be forewarned, but I think it's an investment and I'll be going back! -

I had an appointment with Alexandra and the day of the appointment I go to the "advanced skin care clinic" which is really just a room in a run down building off of union square. The door was locked and she was not there. I took a cab to the appointment because I thought I would be late otherwise. I knocked a few times and waited, and she never came. I called her and turns out she couldn't make my appointment and wanted to move it to later. I had planned my day around this appointment and needless to say it was beyond frustrating.
She may be a great waxer, but I don't know because she no showed me to my own appointment. I ended up finding Bhavna at Cinta Salon and she gave me the best Brazilian I have ever had! -

alexandra set the standard for brazillian waxing for me before I moved from the bay area to new york city. i've searched up and down manhattan (and brooklyn) and have not found any a better treatment than alexandra's. alexandra is thorough yet gentle, personable yet professional. she uses best wax at the right temperature--other places use stuff that not only irritated my not-so-sensitive skin, but failed to leave the same supple softness of what alexandra uses. i've already booked my next appointment for when i back in the bay area for xmas time. also, to be precise, she accepts checks, as well as cash. the numbing spray is great, but you might not even need it, given her expertise. east or west, alexandra is best
