Dr. Biegel has a great demeanor and kick ass office staff. He's definitely easy to talk to, listens to your body woes and worries and decides on a practical, logical, made for you course of therapy. Of course, you don't HAVE to do anything and everything he says, but it's worked for me.

He's always open to discussion and won't try to pressure you into anything unnecessary. He actually steers one away from unwanted treatments/x-rays etc, esp if you're a borderline hypochondriac like myself, heh.

I had/have suffered with a lower back injury/pain for about a year and a half before I actually did anything about it. Dr. Biegel always informs me of what he is going to do and why. At first, adjustments freaked me out, no one likes to hear their neck crack like that.

What I like is that he asks how I feel THAT day and where I feel it -- because that is what we'll work on. There's no wham-bam-adjust-ya-ma'am, now get out! routine going on here.

The roller table is also my favorite time of day. It's my  ten minute moment of zen in a harried FiDi world.

I'm currently training for the Oakland half marathon and decided to really get my core and back strength back to prevent major injuries in my future. With a massage here, an adjustment there, I'm sure Dr. Biegel is saving me from a looming migraine, a stiff back or an out of whack hip flexor. For that, I give him a preemptive thanks.

He's not on my insurance and I have to pay out of pocket, but my half hour sessions are worth it. I go when I need to and don't feel pressured otherwise. Highly recommended.

This guy is a total creep and a scumbag. I went to him for 3 months when I first moved to this city, and have never dealt with a doctor with such a poor professional attitude. Stay away from this guy -- if you actually care about your physiology and want to be treated with care and respect, there are much better chiropractors out there than Biegel.

It's not every day that an office manager (or admin assistant, or secretary, or whatever the correct title is these days) takes the time to to be downright *nice* to someone with the phone personality of a bumbling idiot (I HATE the phone, hence I took a job requiring me to use one... rats). =P But the woman who answered was extremely nice, answered all of my questions and left me quite assured that the doctor wasn't some ex-football player who was gonna turn me into a pretzel like the last person who did work on my back. Can't wait to get in for an apt! Will update then!

Oh, -1 star because they have to locations, and the one near where I would go is only open t / th. Only complaint.

Dr. Biegel was my first visit to a chiropractor.  I started going for two reasons:  general stress relief and I was training to run the SF half marathon.

I highly recommend Dr. Biegel because, in addition to being very easy to talk to, he is very knowledgeable and helpful.  He will educate you regarding the treatments and his adjustments are nothing to be scared of.  In fact, I tend to be very relaxed and ready for the day after a visit.

The central Financial District location is great and he has very friendly hours for downtown working stiffs.

(I'm cross-posting my review for Dr Biegel's Valencia location here, sorry for the redundancy)

Dr.Biegel is a fantastic chiropractor and an all around good guy. He takes his time answering any questions that I have. I've never felt rushed, and I always feel like he listens to me. Also, he has helped me tremendously with an old, chronic lower back injury.

AND let me not forget to mention that if you go see him on Valencia, you get to relax on what I call "the Rolly Table" for 10 minutes while watching Planet Earth DVDs -- sometimes the most relaxing 10 minutes of my whole week!

Just to avoid confusion -- he has two office locations: one is on Valencia and one is on Sansome, I think he's at on Sansome Tuesday and Thurs, then Valencia the rest of the week, but call to make sure.

I'm usually able to get an appointment the same day that I call, which is hugely important for chiropractic care -- if you tweaked something you want it fixed ASAP or else you'll be miserable, am I right?

I've had chronic back pain for about ten years, as a result of several unfortunate attempts at sports back in high school, but I hadn't done anything about it for a few years since I don't have any health insurance. A friend (who had recently been injured, hit by a car while riding a bicycle) recommended Dr. Biegel.
I've been going for a few weeks now, and my back is much improved. I no longer wake up already in pain, and I can even pick boxes up off the floor, which anyone with back pain knows is a big deal. Once I had a terrible headache, and ibuprofen wasn't helping, but after my appointment the pain was gone. His practice is professional and knowledgeable.

I highly recommend Dr. Biegel. He is incredibly skilled and I always leave feeling so much better. And after a spinal manipulation, you get to lay on the traction roller tables for ten minutes! His office manger is really sweet too and they are great at working with your schedule when making an appointment.

Dr. Biegel is my first chiropractor.  I've had a few misconceptions about chiropractors in the past but after my visits with Dr. Biegel, I'm a believer!  He is simply the best!

I love going to my bi-weekly adjustments with Dr. Biegel. I look forward to my mini back massages before I am adjusted.  It's the best ever.  He listens to you and talks to you like a friend.  I have issues in my shoulders and neck due to my job and also carrying around a toddler.  The back roller is also the best too.  I am on there for 10 minutes just relaxing as my spine is being massaged.  Making an appt with Alla (his assistant) is very easy.  She is super nice and knows a lot about insurance so she takes care of everything. I feel refreshed upon leaving, and return to work where my co-workers are in envy of my happiness. "It's Dr. Biegel" is what I tell them........ Great location in the Fidi!

Dr. Biegel is great.  I think I've referred half a dozen co-workers to him over the years.  He and his secretary are also genuinely friendly, which is a big bonus.

I was referred to Dr. Biegel by a co-worker, apparently my entire office has been to him. I only chose his office because it was so convenient, right across the street from my office, but then when I went it was the best chiropractic experience ever! I had a terrible neck pain and he got it to go away right away. I decided to keep going to him for awhile for my back but I had to stop because he is either pricy or my insurance doesn't pay enough, but I had to pay a $30 co pay every time I went, which was getting to be a weekly habit. He is a great doctor though, he really works the issues on your back right out and I love the roller table as a finishing touch for the visit!

It's hard to find a doctor that cares these days. Dr. Biegel is one of the rare. I came in the Sansome office 2 months ago because of chronicle upper back/shoulder pain due to using the computer all day long. Dr. Beigel explained my condition and the treatment process during the 1st visit. He is very patient and listens to my needs. This office opens early, so it works with people's work schedule. He's a great doctor!

I've been to many chiropractors over my career cause of my own profession, and I really enjoy this guy.  He works on your problem until he gets it fixed.  His rapport is very good and I can relax easy there.    I trust his work and  i recommend him to friends constantly.  He has great stories too.

Dr. Biegel is AMAZING! I highly highly recommend him. I was seeing a different chiropracter whom I thought was great before I moved up to SF and he pales in comparison to Dr. Biegel. A coworker referred me to him; she's been seeing Dr. Biegel for years and RAVED about him. I made an appointment for the following day with no problem, he and his secretary are both extremely friendly, easy-going and seemed generally interested in meeting me. Dr. Biegel is a gifted chiropractor - he is attentive to my needs and has a gentle but firm touch that leaves me feeling brilliant whenever I leave his office. He varies types of treatment as needed including ultra-sound (which I had never experienced) and the 10 minute roller-table after every session. He took care of dealing with my insurance completely, and is not hesitant about increasing or decreasing my appointments as needed, which are always easy to schedule and re-schedule. I'm in and out in half my lunch break and always look forward to my visits.

I had a problem with chest pain and my primary care doctor suggested that I see a chiropractor. Within four visits to Dr. Biegel I felt better. I had pain for five months that radiated from my back through my entire left side that was gone in less than two weeks with Dr. Biegel's expert care. I would recommend him whole heartedly to my family and friends.

I have chronic neck pain that flares up every couple of months, and nothing helps like chiropractic care. Throughout the years I've seen about 5 different chiropractors, and Dr. Biegel is by far the most effective one. He is kind and skilled, but more than that he seems to intuitively know exactly what is needed to ease the pain and set my body right. Additionally, I appreciate his upfront, and honest, billing practice. He doesn't do the "hard sell", instead he suggests a treatment and works within the constraints of the patient (me). I wish I didn't need to see him, but since I do, I'm grateful that he's in the neighborhood, because my quality of life is greatly improved thanks to his treatment.
