A Guinot-appointed spa, Advanced Beauty Care provides the unique Hydradermie facial. The treatment is amazing: it leaves your skin radiant, healthy, and beautiful in less than an hour.
Advanced Beauty Care even won the Guinot Salon of the Year award in 2002. Without a doubt, Advanced Beauty Care is absolutely the best day spa in the Bay Area. -

Amazing place: Advanced Beauty Care. Why? Lovely atmosphere, cool music that I hear only here, and the pace is completely nurturing and un-rushed. Plenty of time is allotted to allow for maximum nurturing. When I step into the studio I am treated like I'm the most important person in the world for the time I'm there. And isn't that what the service industry is all about?
Amazing skin care professional: Sarah Jane. Imagine getting your pampering with just product and massage. (No steam burning your pores to a crisp, no nasty extractions leaving your face all red and irritated) I sometimes fall asleep, it's so soothing. She thinks of clever ways to delight her clients so that each visit feels like there's something new and fun to see or hear about.
Amazing knowledge: Sarah Jane has an extensive education and is able to talk on any level about your skin and her recommendations for you. She's flexible and gives you her best.
I am a student and I still find the means to see her regularly. The whole experience is, well, amazing!! -

Last year, a friend of mine gave me a gift certificate for a facial at Advanced Beauty Care. Although I've lived on the peninsula for nearly four years, I'd never heard of it. ABC is a private day spa tucked away into an upstairs space on Primrose, chances are you've probably walked past it and never known it was there. But I am SO glad that I found out about it, because this is hands down my favorite place to get a facial. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the smell: floral and fruity but not overpowering or saccharine. ABC is a Guinot salon: they use only plant-based Guinot products and more than once has been voted Guinot salon of the year. I was a little worried at first, because my skin is extremely sensitive and will break into hives if I even touch my face with something I'm allergic to. Sarah, the founder and aesthetician, chose exactly the right products for me and capably soothed my skin and left it GLOWING! I can't remember the last time my skin looked, felt and smelled so good! My skin tone was even, not red, splotchy or patchy and it just looked.... well, happy!
Comparing this to other spass on the peinsula: I've had some reliability problems at other places (coming in for a scheduled appointment only to find that it had been deleted or I had been double scheduled), been turned off by rudeness from the other clientele and the staff at other salons and never once had any of those problems coming to see Sarah. She is professional, capable and knowledgeable. Advanced Beauty is an oasis in downtown Burlingame's shopping area and it is one that should not be missed.
