Recently I had my starter fail on my car. It was towed to Advanced Automotive for repair which went swiftly. They had it ready early the next business day which was impressive. However, immediately upon leaving the lot my battery light came on. I thought it may be due to trying too many times to start the car and it just needed to charge but it turned out my alternator was fried.
I took it into the dealership to be looked at and they revealed to me that the starter was not installed properly and a loose wire "likely caused my alternator and a battery cell to fail."
You get what you pay for.
PS, the mechanic tore off the steering wheel cover and there was a stray cat sleeping in the back seat when we got the car back.
