My dad found this place in an ad we got in the mail. We saw they were AAA certified as well as a few other reputable places.
My dad gave them a call this morning and they said they would be able to fit us in right away. We dropped my car off at about 9 and they said they would take a look at everything FREE of charge and call us back soon. We got a call from them about 30 minutes later with the problem, estimate, and the news that they would be able to fix it and have it ready by the end of the day.
Of course it was pricey, but what car work isn't??? Not many places will take a look at it with no charge so that was a plus. Tom helped us, he was extremely knowledgeable and never tried to up sale us, which was great!!!!!
I would most definitely recommend this place to a friend. -

Upon the recommendation of a friend, I took my car to Advanced Auto recently to diagnose a potentially scary engine noise. The guys there were very friendly and I was able to make an appointment immediately. I was able to get a ride to work, and mid-day I got a call letting me know what the issue was. They were not able to pick me up because at that time they were busy, but I hopped a bus and picked up my car. Another guy called me mid-day and started recommending a TON of services - some of which I didn't need because I'd done them already - but we polite when I declined.
I have been told that the manager (Tom, I believe) is much better to deal with than the owner and won't recommend things you don't need. I have to agree. Better to deal with Tom, or just know your car and its maintenance well enough to avoid being oversold something you may not need. I would take my car here again. -

I came here not too long ago due to a bad wheel bearing.
As always, the service and work done to the car was top notch. Even though I don't even live in livermore, I know this shop takes pride in their work so i don't mind driving a little further to get quality work done.
I would recommend this place to a friend.

Meet the Business Owner: Dave H.
Dave has shown a passion for cars since childhood and chose to follow his dream by pursuing a career in the automotive field. In 1986, Dave graduated from Heald Institute of Technology and worked in the electrical/mechanical field for one year. In 1987, Heald offered Dave a teaching job which he did for three years.
