These guys are OUTSTANDING!! We moved here from San Diego, and drove. We got here on a Saturday afternoon, and had these guys scheduled for Sunday morning. I called them to confirm, and they offered to come right then. They showed up at 3 and were gone by 5. So quick and polite. We'll definitely use them again.

The experience with Advanced Personnel Movers was terrible. I had to call twice to set up the moving time and give them my address. On the day of the move, they call me one hour before they were supposed to arrive to tell me that one of their crews was out on holiday (Labor Day Weekend) and I'd have to wait until the other crew finished so they could come and help us. I thought the idea of a reservation was to set aside a crew so these kinds of problems do not happen. If you have only one crew working, how can you schedule more than one move at possible lapping times and not inform me ahead of time? Moves take time and usually there is some overtime involved. I'm not in the moving business but I've moved enough times to know that much. I'm surprised Advanced Personnel Movers doesn't know that.
I reserved a u-haul truck for a specified amount of hours and they expected that truck back so they could rent it to someone else. So I had to start loading without any help. After my boyfriend and I loaded the most difficult furniture by our lonesome selves, we decided to call Advanced Personnel Movers and cancel. Twenty minutes later two men showed up saying they were there to help. I don't know if the office person didn't inform them that we had canceled or they hoped that once they were there we'd change our minds but the harm was already done. We've done the worst part of the work and I wasn't going to pay them after we've done the worst part. On top of everything I didn't appreciate the mover's attitudes. They looked angry and not apologetic at all. Even though I understand it wasn't their fault. Their company screwed up and they are the ones facing us, so I think they should have had a better attitude. Maybe we just had bad luck on a difficult weekend but I would not recommend Advanced Personnel Movers to anyone.
