A hands down 5-star
she's one of the BEST nail technicians in town. If you're looking for a good nail salon to go, don't waste your time looking any longer, just book a reservation with her, you won't regret it. I promise you'd love her too. :)
I've recommended Adrienne to all my friends and all of them just LOVED her :)
So you ask why she's so awesome? Here's why:
1. You can ask her to do almost any kind of design, and she can do exactly what you ask for, or better ;) she def. has great taste.
2. Her Calgel lasts forever, truly amazing.
3. Affordable, well worth your bucks!
4. Last but not least, she's super sweet -

Thanks to yelp I found my new nail guru!
I have to admit, I wasnt impressed with the salon when I walked in, but Adrienne won me over with the cute designs and extremely well-mannered personality. She's super sweet and takes good care of your toes. :) She has the cutest decals from Japan that she uses to personalize your toes, and trust me, it's to die for!!
Waiting to call her to deck out my daughters toes as well! :) -

This is not a review or comment, but more of an announcement. If I can't do zero stars, I'll do five stars because that's what most everyone else has rated Adrienne. Read on to see why.
Called Adrienne for an appointment today. Just wanted to let new clients know that's she's on maternity leave for now.

Whoohooo! I got my nails done yesterday with Adrienne, and she is as lovely in person as the Yelpers says she is. (I found her solely through Yelp.)
She is patient, professional, clean, thorough, understanding, artistic, and makes you feel so comfortable. I am very happy with my nails and my experience in general.
I will say, if you're a person who likes the quicky type, $35 nail job from the "other" type of nail salons then you won't want to pay for the care, love, attention to detail, and time that Adrienne will give you.
But, if you're looking for a long term nail person that you can rely on, that won't speak "badly" about you in another language, then Adrienne is your girl:) I will be referring a hand full of other women who are also looking for the same thing.
Keep in mind, it isn't easy to fit in to her tight schedule since she has a large loyal client base. However, if you can get in, then don't cancel because she is probably as good as it gets! -

If you knew me (and if you do, you can vouch for me), I am a very loyal person. I'm also very true to my word and if I say I'm going to do or not do something, I usually don't. Keyword here is usually. So let me start as if I'm in a confessional (as my non-church going self says this):
1. I swore to never do Cal Gel again when the last salon I went to (might I mention I swore off of Vietnamese nail salons prior to that when I went back...this isn't doing much for my credibility, is it?) told me that I should do Cal Gel because it'll make my Hello Kitty nails last so much longer. Three days passed before they started falling off so I didn't realize the word "longer" by Vietnamese people meant three days. OK, enough bashing on Vietnamese salons. So my exception for going back to one was because of the Hello Kitty nail lure. Duh. But after that last experience, I swore off of it FOR REAL. Seriously, this time. Until the next exception, of course! ^_~
2. I swear by Nails By Carrie at Serendipity for my pedicures. I even still love her for my traditional manicures. Wouldn't even think of getting my toes done by any other place. Hands on the other hand...I go where the Hello Kitty or cutesy, artistic nails are. Don't get me wrong, Carrie is AWESOME and very artistic. But I'm a little less loyal when it comes to my hands. (Sorry Carrie!)
3. I typically don't like places where parking can be an issue. I think I may have illegally parked when I went to Avance (above Pho One on Kapiolani) but thank goodness my car was still there and maybe I just didn't go high enough on the levels to find their parking stalls so I may just be showing my idiocy at this point and it might be irrelevant if I end up easily finding their stalls next time but I'll just include it now, since it was my first experience here.
With that said...are you ready for this? *SCREAM*!!! I LOVE Adrienne! She is just such an adorable thing and so incredibly talented. I should say a very humble THANK YOU to all you Yelpers for helping to lead me to her. I wish I could be incredibly selfish and not share her with anyone but that would be out of character for me since I am always open to promoting things I love and for people like Adrienne who is in business for herself, all the more reason I would want to help someone like her.
I just got my Hello Kitty nails today and they are ADORABLE! I can't even tell you how happy I am with them. She is a total perfectionist and just does such great quality work. All the while she was working on my nails, I couldn't stop drafting the Yelp review in my head.
She can do WAY more than just Hello Kitty nails so even if you're looking for other types of creative ways to have your nails done, you should check out her pictures and her Facebook page.
And I wouldn't be doing my civic duty for self employed people if I didn't say that although she accepts credit cards, try to pay her in cash so she doesn't get charged a merchant fee. All the more money in her pocket. ^_^ Now what are you waiting for? Make an appointment today!

I cannot stop staring at my nails! They are SO cute and fun and funky and pretty and...ok I'll stop. Just look at my picture!
Let me preface by saying that I am not a nail kinda girl. I think I've only had 2 manicures in my life, and one time I got tricked into getting acrylics, which was one of the worst things I have ever experienced (my nails and I were seriously traumatized by it). That said, I immediately snapped out of my nail PTSD when I stumbled across Japanese 3D nail art while planning for my Hawaii vacation.
I called and booked an appointment with Adrienne before I left California. I didn't have trouble finding the building (Avance Salon behind the Ala Moana Shopping Center), and was really excited to have her work on my nails.
Reasons why Adrienne kicks ass:
1. She's SUPER sweet and friendly and cute and bad ass. Did you know she snowboarded professionally in Japan?! AND does awesome nails?! That's pretty cool.
2. She's amazing at what she does. I was worried about any drills near my fingertips and she assured me it wasn't necessary. No drills, just a little filing with a stick-thing and then off to work! She was extremely patient while I hummed and hawed about what to get. Also, she told me that it would only take 1 hour for everything and she was really done in one hour (didn't cut much into vacation time!). The Calgel doesn't smell terrible like acetone or acrylic stuff either. Her designs are superb and she is so detail oriented.
3. Price was totally fair. I was expecting an arm and a leg because I was Yelping similar services in the LA area and was about to have a heart attack at some of the charges ($100-$200?! Ouch!). She charged around $63 including tax. Sweet!
I wish I had more fingers for her to work on because it sucks living in the San Francisco Bay Area and not being able to go back every few weeks to have Adrienne work her magic :(
I can't express enough just how satisfied I am with her service and professionalism. Everyone adores my nails!

First got gel nails done in Vegas a month ago and I wondered where I in Honolulu would I find a professional to do the same caliber of work? Thankfully for Yelp and the women who shared their Adrienne Nails experience - I found someone wonderful to make my nails strong and of course create beautiful artwork.
Adrienne is a gem and does her work consciously, yet is very quick. My nails are very weak and as soon as they gain a little length, they crack and chip. I'm not a fan of acrylics as I've experienced mold growth underneath - so gel nails are my answer - an overlay of gel over my natural nail. Adrienne is also able to rebuild or create a gel extension on one very short, short nail. It was like magic - grow a nail! She also repaired a chipped nail to make my natural nail stronger. Thank you Adrienne, I'll be back!
By the way, Adrienne has moved to Avance Salon (the building next to Bright Smile) or right above Pho One Vietnamese Restaurant & Wholesale Travel which is on Kapiolani between Mahukona/Kaheka & Atkinson Streets.

Adrienne is AMAZING! She is located in Salon H in the Kapiolani Business Plaza. There is a parking structure within the building (that always has tons of stalls open) and she validates! The first time I went to see Adrienne, I got Cal-Gel nails and Minx toes. I would really recommend Minx for your toes! There are pre-printed designs and lasts a very long time(mine is going on 1 month+). I went back recently to do Cal-Gel again and got such a cute design! If you're having a hard time deciding what kind of design you want to do she has a picture album of all her previous work and she's really creative so she can always help you out. You can also look at her stuff on Facebook. Pricing is very affordable here and she pays attention to every detail on your nails so it's definitely a good job every time! Try to make an appointment early because she seems to be getting busier.

OMG! My nails are so freaking cute that I die!!!!!!
Adrienne is so neat and meticulous and her designs are sooooooooooooooooooooo cute. I got my nails done yesterday and I've been receiving compliments about them up the yang today.
I can't get over how cute they are. I just can't!
Definitely recommend going to Adrienne! She is also really sweet and interesting to talk to :)
FYI: It costs $8 to get gel removed. So if you're looking to save a few bucks soak them in acetone before going to get your nails done. -

LOVE Adrienne!! She's so sweet and great at what she does!! I HIGHLY recommend her! You should make an appt with her because she's so busy. It's hard to "walk-in". She has so many cute designs and she does MINX, too!! People are always commenting on my nails since I've started getting Cal Gel. Cal Gel is the way to go! It's so much better than acrylic! It might cost a bit more than acrylic, but SO worth it!!
She's located in Avance Salon. There's free parking in the bldg, on the 2nd floor of the garage. -

Adrienne is by far the best nail artist I know! Not only is she talented and meticulous, she is an amazing person. I appreciate her more than ever right now because I had to get my calgel filled elsewhere since she is on maternity leave and I was so disappointed. Nobody compares to her, trust me, I'm very picky and Adrienne always has me leaving her salon with a great big smile. :)

Adrienne is the sweetest lady. She is very detailed with your nails and makes sure to answer any questions you have. She has always been on time for my appointments even though she is a very busy with her many clients. She is very understanding when I have had to take my 3 year old with me. Outstanding!

Parking is on the second floor of the structure where Pho 1 is located (by Ala Moana Nordstrom & Shokudo). Adrienne is very professional and extremely nice. Her station is located in the Avance salon (above Pho One, be sure to park on second floor) . She has her station all decked out to look reallyyyyy cute, as it has very chic black & white theme going on.
Her designs are great, and I love how she focuses on Cal Gel, and also gives pointers on nail care/upkeep (try to add on clear top coats as often as possible to protect nails). She offers an array of adorable, and super fashionable designs ranging from lacey art pieces to ultra kawaii Hello Kitty french tips. She makes suggestions and works with your likes to help achieve a final product that you will LOVE (and you should, because you have to wear it for a few weeks). For the detail she does, prices are very reasonable, and will not break the bank! This is very had to come by for Japanese style nails. Awesome overall nail experience. -

Adrienne is the sweetest and most patient manicurist I've had. She's very professional and creative! She really took her time and never made you feel rushed. Super nice personality! She moved here from Japan 3 years ago. She does such beautiful and creative designs! Try to go earlier than your appointment because you will need the time to look over her many designs. Soooo hard to choose!

Parking: You can park in the bldg or on the street (tons of metered parking but she does validate)
Hours: I *think* she said she's off on Mondays...but call to double check.
I'm gonna be honest, I don't want to write this review in fear that Adrienne is gonna become even MORE busy, but after having a really bad Calgel experience I immediately came home and decided to write this review for her. Although Adrienne is very busy and sees who knows how many clients all day long, she is a perfectionist and is super meticulous whether you are the first client of the day or her last. Her only downfall is that their's only one of her! So your probably wondering why did I go to someone else...well, she's so busy that you have to make an appointment at least 4-5 days in advance and I had a last minute function that I had to go to. Boo for me..Adrienne was booked. In any case, give her a try...it'll be hard to go anywhere else! -

I love you I love you Adrienne! You always give me the best nails design. I am very please with Adrienne sense of style and design. She really did a good job for me everytime, she is very very consistent. I highly recommend her to every one who is looking for doing Calgel. Her price is great and art work are awesome. She is doing a 10% refer program too! And also stamp card program, what a great deal for my pretty nails.

I met Adrienne several years ago when she was working at a very popular salon in Hawaii which will remain unnamed. :) She was without a doubt the BEST at cal-gel among all the other women at that salon. Her sense is impeccable...she has amazing taste and it made my job so simple because I'd just communicate the general idea of what I wanted and be SO in love with what she came up with. She is a wonderful person too. I really admire her work ethic. She is meticulous and it shows as the cal-gel stays on FOREVER. You will not be disappointed by her work.

I first got my nails done by Adrienne after my daughter had hers done, hers were so pretty & blingy I just had to try it, especially since I'm allergic to acrylic nails (my fingers get all itchy, red & swollen). Adrienne applied Cal Gel nails on me (no allergic reaction at all!), they are more natural looking and you can still put whatever kind of design you want on it, a lot of Adrienne's ideas and supplies that she uses to bling out your nails are from Japan where Adrienne visits regularly to learn the newest techniques and picks up her supplies. Even the nail salons that I go to do my pedicures rave at my nails, admiring them and trying to figure out how they're done! All filing is done by hand (no drills), another plus, no burning or cutting your fingers like with the electric drills....Adrienne is also a perfectionist when it comes to her work, making sure each nail is as it should be...all that care and attention to detail does not slow her down either...a full set takes about an hour to an hour and a half. You will not be disappointed and you will not be able to stop looking at your gorgeous nails! Adrienne is sweet, patient and an amazing nail artist......but she is in demand so make your appointment ahead of time! Got my next appointment set for fills and to get my toes all blingy! Can't wait!

Adrienne is so amazing!! She does an awesome job & is the sweetest person!! She has recently moved into the Avance Salon behind the ALA MOANA center. Her new address is 1617 kapiolani blvd. On the second floor. There is a lot of free, covered parking. It is so much nicer there! She is super fast & affordable & she does an excellent job!!! Thank you Adrienne!!!!!
