Went with a large group (3 kids and 6 adults). Had a great lunch. Service was attentive and they were willing to split the check in multiple ways.
We picked using Yelp and were very pleased. -
Review from Jeremy B.
I have yet to sit down in their new joint, and with a roommate as a server who denounces the service, I doubt I will. But that's okay! Why? Because I spent years being used to their delivery/take out only service that I don't need to sit down to enjoy them.
I have settled on this years ago, but Adriatico's is my favorite pizza place in Cincinnati. There are still a couple key players I haven't tried that could dethrone it(namely Ramundo's) but I've had my fair share so to stand out from those is special.
I used to order one of the large's on a Monday or Tuesday(early week special) with a coupon from the beloved BearCash coupon book, and eat it for days. People who tell you get the thin crust because the thick is just more bread are fools: it's not less topping, just more bread, so it takes less to fill you up, therefore more pizza for a longer time! Seems logical to me. And it takes just as good so don't listen to them.
With my new attitude towards eating healthier/spending less, my Adriatico's are limited to Friday Happy Hours at Murphy's(God bless them). I only get one slice a week, but when I get that two inch high square of rich pizza with the massive pepperoni and spicy sausage, I am again reminded why it has the title I have bestowed upon it.
There... My favorite pizza in Cincinnati. -
Review from Jackie S.
While I love me some Adriaticos, I can't say that I love the vibe of their new restaurant. They don't seem to be making a smooth transition from take-out or delivery only to sit-down service. Bottom line is that I will still call for delivery, but I'm not going to eat at the restaurant again (however, I may go in to fill a growler).
Unfortunately, my experience at the new location was only moderate. Since I was organizing a dinner for ten people, I called ahead to give them some notice. If you don't know already, Adriatico's is NOTORIOUS for the long wait for your pizza. Since it's so delicious and custom, I can normally handle and understand the wait. This time I thought I would be smart and place an order before we got to the restaurant so it would be ready when we got there to eat it. Shock of all shocks, they would not accommodate this simple and logical request.
So we show up having called ahead to let them know that ten people were coming and they didn't have a table ready. That's sort-of understandable, so the hostess told us to sit at the bar. Here's the ridiculous part.... After taking our food order and learning that we planned to move to a table once it was available, the bartender rather callously told us that we could not sit at the bar because it was blocking seats for other people (even though there were empty seats at the bar).
Another complaint comes from or experience with the "salad." Boy, do I wish I had the audacity to charge someone five dollars for shredded up lettuce like they do at Adriaticos! The salads were lackluster at best, being comprised of iceburg lettuce, some sneaky raw onions (diced and hidden among the lettuce), a few tomato wedges and banana peppers. Where was the carrot, croutons, cucumber, sliced egg, or any semblance of style one would expect with a five dollar salad? I don't know, maybe the bartender kicked them out.
I will say however that our (eventual) waiter was very considerate and of course the pizza was as amazing as ever.
So let's do the math. Starting at five dollars (Seinfeld style).
-1 for not being able to call your order in ahead of time
-1 for not being able to accommodate large groups
-1 for a rude bartender
-1 for bland and overpriced salad
+1 for a great beer selection (and the fact that you can fill a growler)
+1 for the amazing pizza
+1 for a helpful and considerate waiter
______________
= 4 stars and I guess I'll just have to call for delivery in the future. -

This place is more than just the Bearcat from college days.
I'm a fan of Adriatico's crust, sauce, and pepperoni. The crust is thick (but they do have thin) and the sauce and pepperoni are on the spicier side-which isn't for everyone I guess, but I'm a fan. The space is great and they have quite the selection on tap.
We went to the new location for lunch and were virtually the only people in the place. Quick service, we were in an out within an hour (did ask for our checks with our food) and we each got a personal pizza. They had some good specialty pizzas on the menu too-Chicken Pesto, Garden Veggie, Buffalo, etc. -
Review from Ben N.
The opening of Adriatico's new sit-down location finally provided me an opportunity to sample what many seem to think is the best pizza--at least in the non-"artisan" division--in Cincinnati. (To my knowledge, the previous location on the other side of UC did take-out only and was too far away for us to take advantage.)
From what I read here, I think we got a dud Adriatico's pie in my first visit. I see comments in other reviews here about the fold-able, NY-style crust, but that ain't what we got. We got a soggy mess of a crust that couldn't even be picked up by hand until you'd forked-and-knived your way through about two-thirds of a slice. The problem seemed to result from what otherwise were positives: very generous portions of a tomato sauce with heavy-duty flavor and a heavy hand with toppings. Unfortunately, one of these toppings was onions, which along with the sauce, contained too much water for the crust to survive.
But with the huge flavors and fresh ingredients, there was a really good pizza in there somewhere. We'll definitely be back to try again, and I hope to be able to kick up this rating in the future.
This new Adriatico's has a comfortable, open feel; several giant flatscreens for sports-watching, plus one gargantuan projection screen; and one of the longest and best draft-beer lists in town. And we got solid service on this visit.Listed in: The Yelp 63 Challenge

I love pizza, and I love Adriatico's. Most of my experiences have been pleasant.
However, the other night I went around 9:30 with a small group of friends. A couple ordered beers. At 10:59 our waitress walked up to us and very rudely says, "I probably should have let you know sooner, but all [alcoholic] drinks must be finished by 11 pm."
Uh, what the hell?
If you have rules like that, that's fine. But they need to be communicated if your group is coming in late. Maybe hang a sign? Put it on the menu? Tell people who order drinks at 9 or later? Something.
With about half of her drink left, that wasn't happening. Not even a minute later, another waiter comes by and snaps at her to finish her drink. The rudeness was completely unnecessary. 30 second later he cruises by and snatches up her drink.
I've been inside to their new location two other times with no issues. But if this is how the staff is going to act late at night, or ever again, I'll make sure all my orders are delivery. -
Review from Steph B.
Are you looking for pizza that tastes like Pizza Hut's, only slightly less greasy and much more expensive? Then you'll love Adriatico's.
(I'm not judging if that actually is what you want. It's just really not my thing.) -

Ordered a pie and subsequently spent the night puking and crapping ...correlation perhaps? Called some manager who claimed a mushroom and green pepper pizza couldn't possibly cause sickness. What an idiot. Never going back. Another crappy Cincy restaurant run by an idiot small business owner.

My first time at Adriatico's also coincidentally happened to be their first day in their new location. So when they finally feel fully comfortable in their new location, you can thank me for playing the sacrificial lamb.*
*Do consider that I have a flair for the dramatic. This place is awesome. They have many Samsung flatscreens up and about (and Samsung's are the most expensive TVs right now, so respect). Also, their main projector screen projects in HD, something that most BW3's cannot claim.
But the quickest way to my heart is to understand and appreciate "convenience" as much as I do. I truly believe that happiness is easily achievable just by making your life as convenient as possible. Adriatico's seems to understand that, since, for people who don't sit close to the bar and its 40 taps, they lined up tap-head duplicates in the middle of the restaurant so anyone can visually see all the beers on tap without having to walk to the bar or read a font size-8 list in which all the beer names blur into a Book Antiqua blob.
Oh yea, and the pizza's delicious too. Pepperoni's here aren't your average pepperonis; they're huge. And you know what they say about big pepperonis.........delicious pizzas, of course.
They don't, unfortunately, offer red onions as a topping, which just happens to be an automatic ingredient in anything I conjure up in my own kitchen (along with garlic, basil, and pepper).
Also, the "specialized pizzas" are not as good or as well-designed as Dewey's, for example. Your best bet is to customize the ultimate pizza with ingredients you know are delicious. Plus those tig ol Adriatico pepperonis, if they're not a standard topping for you.
All in all, this place is probably the best pizza place in town to watch a football game (both viewing facilities and food-quality taken into consideration).
That is if they're full. And you're not. -

I went out of my way to check this place out because I wanted some pizza, it was open, and the yelp reviews looked good! However, when I got there I was disappointed to learn that they don't sell slices and I didn't want to wait for or pay for a whole pizza. When I think NY Style, I think slices. Silly me.
Looked like a decent place though. -

Review from Ed J.
First time at the new sit-down location - very nice indeed. A sports bar vibe with the same pizza that UC students have known and loved for years. We got a large pepperoni and sausage pizza - the move to the new place has not changed the crispness of the deep dish crust and the sauce is the same slightly spicy concoction that has been their trademark in this sweet tomato sauce town. There are 40 or so beers on tap including Goose Island's lovely Matilda and the always excellent Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale and several seasonal offerings from the likes of Bell's and Rivertown. If you come on the night of a UC basketball game, come early or be prepared to wait.
One downside - parking is in a minuscule lot down the street to the east or on the street. Parking in Pomodori's lot will surely get you towed, and there is an attendant to keep an eye on things. -

Adriatico's pizza is my favorite Cincinnati food. Hands down.
The first time I had Adriatico's was three months ago when I moved here and I loved it. The Bearcat pizza is a huge rectangle pizza made for parties and it was like looking at a mattress with pepperoni. My new favorite mattress.
It had a really think, pillowly crust; lots of pepperonis (if you get it); and a really great spicy (vs. sweet) sauce.
Their delivery service is timely. When my fella bought three Bearcats for an event, they delivered them with a smile (and those things are BIG!)
I'm really looking forward to their as yet unopened dine in location! -

Love this pizza and the new location. The restaurant is not very big, parking is on the street or a little lot that holds about 4 cars. They have plenty of draft beer selections. Have been here several times and never disappointed!

Review from Jeremy O.
Being a college neighborhood, Clifton has its fair share of dining options, especially when it comes to pizza and other greasy goodies. However, as any UC student will tell you, Adriatico's is one of the best when it comes to getting your food on. Plus, its cheap! Just ask about the bearcat pizza! As a college student myself, I can tell you that we like cheap.
That being said, I will admit that it is not my favorite pizza in all of Cincinnati. It is extremely good though in its own way, which to me, was reminiscent of small town pizzas I grew up with living in nowhere Clermont County. However, if you aren't a fan of greasy, messy, pizza, than this one might not be for you.
Honestly, my only real complaint about Adriatico's, was that they didn't really have anywhere to eat at the restaurant itself due to the fact that it is more of a carry out type of place. This may be changing though since I have been led to believe that they are either opening a new location or moving the actual restaurant down the street a few blocks. -

Never had it? Check it out. You might become an addict.
Try going extra saucy. Get extra pizza sauce as your only topping - original crust.
The Columbus location was right across from my freshman year dorm.
Yeah.
Trouble.
Haven't tried the breadsticks? Go for original breadsticks (I heard there is more than one option now), extra pizza sauce (obvy), and a butter if you're feeling like double dipping. -

So I finally decided to try this place after it's been sitting in my bookmarks for forever.
I tried it this past Saturday as I was coming home from the festival of lights. It's really close to the zoo & so many other things so I'd say it's in a pretty convenient location.
We got just a plain old pepperoni pizza with thick crust. I can say though that it was one of the best pepperoni pizza's I've ever had. The crust was really good.
For me, this place is right up there with Larosa's & I'd definitely like to try it again. Next time, I'll go for the thin crust though. -
Review from Ed P.
Since returning to Cincinnati there was one item on my craving list that I had not had until a couple of weekends ago, Adriatico's Pizza. I had never had their pizza before starting classes at the University of Cincinnati in 1998, but before long it was a college staple. They sell a pizza called The Bearcat, which is 18 by 24 inches and has 30 slices! Not only is it big it is also on really thick Sicilian crust. The Bearcat pizza was often seen on campus for various meetings, off campus at a wide variety of events, and occasionally it found its way into hungry college students' residences. I'd be lying if I said that my roommates and I hadn't ordered a number of Bearcats before.
When my family decided to come over to help my wife and I pass out candy for Halloween, my wife and I both agreed that it was a great time to pick up a Bearcat, which would easily feed the six hungry adults. My wife picked up the pizza from the Clifton restaurant and when it arrived at our house I was happy to see that it had not changed. They still layer each slice of pizza with its own piece of giant pepperoni. The sauce is still as spicy and tasty as I remembered, and the crust was wonderfully thick.
In all my years of eating Adriatico's pizza I have never tried their thin crust, though I have had multiple people say good things about it. I may one day get around to trying it, but in the meantime I'll always look for any excuse to grab some family or friends and order a Bearcat. -

There is one really big thing about UC and Cincinnati that I don't get. Okay, probably more than one, but I am talking about why everyone loves this place.
It is my least favorite pizza. I hate it. I hate it more than any other pizza. I would eat Papa John's over this and I really dislike Papa John's. Now this being said, I have only ever had the thick sicilian crust.
The bearcat is ordered for virtually every event on campus, and I always shy away from the stuff. People really are curious as why a college kid won't eat free pizza. Well, I'll admit that in college I was definitely not normal, but still, I enjoy my free food. I obviously wouldn't even eat this if you gave it to me for free. I have never paid for the pizza I have tried here.
I have ordered it before, on a pseudo terrible date gone wrong in college. This guy and I ordered it with turkey and tomato. I let him pick. Bad idea. Oh it was even worst than normal, and it made the terrible night even worse.
The sauce is weirdly spicy - it's just heartburn waiting to happen. It's not tasty, it doesn't fit with the ingredients or thick crust, and makes for a strange mix of tastes. The cheese is okay - nothing special, I think it melts funny and is jello like. And the pizza is super super greasy. The meats are okay - they actually aren't bad quality - but I hate the rest of the pizza so much I just don't even care.
Again, I've never tried the thin crust, but assuming it uses the same sauce, I really don't want to.
I just don't get this place. I don't. -
Review from Devin C.
Adriatico's is the definition of overhyped and overrated pizza in Cincinnati. No, this pizza is far from the best in Cincinnati. Here's why:
First off, if you have ever had New York Style pizza, Adriatico's name is very misleading. I'd like to point out that Yelp has highlighted their "thick crust" in 11 reviews at the time of this review. Most pizza aficionados would recognize that real New York Style is a very thin crust. This thick crust is most prominently featured in their Bearcat pizza, which is the large party size, which can easily feed 10-20 people, depending on the appetites. It's Sicilian style. Just be warned!
Second, boy is this pizza EXPENSIVE! Maybe not to the naked eye looking at the menu. But when you compare the price of the pizza to the quality of the items they use - it is clear to me that they are a ripoff. For the money spent on an Adriatico's pizza - I'd almost rather splurge a few more bucks and head down the street to Dewey's - or save a few and go to Domino's. Depending on whether I'm looking for lesser quality cheap pizza or higher quality expensive pizza. Adriatico's price to quality ratio is far lower than both of these stores in my opinion.
Third, people rave about the spicy sauce. I have only had heartburn twice in my life - and both times was eating Adriatico's pizza. I am almost positive it has to do with their sauce given that I've received it both on a pepperoni and plain cheese pizza. Maybe you'll like it - but I'm going to pass, because I actually like to enjoy my meals.
You have to give them points for appealing to the college crowd. The Bearcat size pizza is a deal compared to their other pizzas - especially if you are throwing a party. They also have opened early to make orders for UC football games if they know you want the pizzas at a certain time (our order was once at 10AM). I am excited to see that they are planning a sports bar at their new location down the street - which will be a cool hang out spot for students (rather than the takeout/delivery heavy location now).
Adriatico's is just not my kind of pizza place. In the many pizza places I've visited over my lifetime, Adriatico's easily ranks in the bottom third. A cult following of die-hard college students who have the constant munchies help keep the myth of Adriatico's pizza alive - but with time, I hope most reviewers before and still to come realize that Adriatico's pizza is far from the pinnacle of the pizza pie. -

Being a resident of Clifton there are countless options when it comes to restaurants. But for pizza it seemed that there were just Toppers and whatever delivers. And then my sister reminded me of Adriatico's, which I forgot even existed. I mean I am a Xavier grad, not a UC one so you can't blame me.
So as my sister and I watch this house for a few months, we thought of ordering pizza. She told me call Adriatico's. Ordered pizza, breadsticks and a salad, which I thought would give us a fair amount of food. Turns out it was more then enough for a king's feast. In fact, I still have half of the pizza in the fridge still. The pizza was delicious the crust was thick and crunchy. The sauce was slightly spicy (which I fixed with some tabasco) and was not a lot. Which is my one pet peeve for pizza places. Sauce is good, but too much and it is just ridiculous. There is no where to sit in the restaurant, but I usually always order delivery so that is not a big deal for me. Thought I have heard there new place will have seating areas. And it is open now, and they even have 44 beers on tap! So maybe I will leave my dwelling when I want pizza again. I mean 44 beers on tap and pizza! Heaven is on earth. -

As I always say, I am from New Jersey so I am a Pizza snob. So if you haven't noticed by the 5 star review, this place meets my expectations... and then exceeds some.
Let start with the dough, which is the foundation of any good pizza. Its delicious. Seasoned and soft, everything a pizza dough should be. You know that they have their act together when their bread sticks, made from the same dough, are so good you don't need the dipping sauce. And while we are on the topic of sauce, lets move on to the sauce on the pizza which is also tasty and again, seasoned well. So much so that I don't get indigestion from it so bonus points for that!
As for the cheese and toppings, both are done well and there is a nice balance between the two. The Pepperoni is large and fresh and the cheese is heavy, but not too heavy if that makes any sense.
Needless to say, I was very impressed and will be going back again. Next time I will try the regular crust instead of thin. Regardless, if you are an east coaster like me, you will not be disappointed.Listed in: My Favorite Eats

The thick crust pizza here is my favorite pizza in Cincinnati, hands down. The sauce has just a bit of spice to it, which makes it interesting. You're not going to get fancy, gourmet style toppings like at Dewey's, you're going to get actual pizza. I lived in New York City for a number of years, and Adriatico's would pass as a pretty good Sicilian style pizza there.
The deals on Monday and Tuesday are tough to beat, too. -

I used to pick Adriaticos up for take out all the time when I lived in Clifton. Having a little parking lot in front for customers is a bonus in a neighborhood where parking just to run in and pick up food can be very tricky.
I love the spicy sauce and the way they apply their toppings, which is a little different from most other pizza places around here. For example, one of my favorite toppings to order at Adriatico's is tomato, because they put an entire slice of tomato on each piece of pizza! They do the same with green peppers, and use large pepperoni for the same effect.
This spot is not at all convenient for me anymore, but I drive over at least a few times a year to satisfy a craving. -

Review from Gavin D.
When Sarah and I want to make ourselves feel better we want comfort food. Pizza is comfort food. And in Cincinnati, if you want top notch, comforting pizza, you get Adriatico's.
The Food: Let's keep this simple - Adriatico's is the best not-gourmet, fancy ingredient pizza in town. When I call in an order they ask me if I want "thick or thin" crust, but with the thick being so delectable, I've never been able to bring myself to mess with a good thing. If you've had Sicilian slices in New York, that's the closest equivalent I can think of to thick crust Adriatico's. The sauce is a bit spicy and definitely not bland, and they are not shy with the cheese. We always get green olives and pepperoni - they pile on the olives (as you can see from the picture) and the pepperoni adds a nice extra kick to the meal.
Note: The Bearcat, the largest pizza they offer is listed after personal (8"), medium (12"), and large (16"), as simply "Huge." See below for a picture. It is indeed huge. $5 off on Monday and Tuesday nights, so mark those down as good days for pizza parties.
The Ingredients: Nothing special here. It tastes good. Pretty sure they've got a Sysco truck pulling up on the regular.
The Story: Unfortunately, they don't deliver to our home area of Northside. When we lived in OTR, they wouldn't deliver there either, although they would go to Milton's bar in Mt. Auburn - a stone's throw from our old place.
Now, a story I must tell: About 6 or 7 years ago now, my friend Megan drove me to pick up my order from Adriatico's. She stayed in the car, I went in, grabbed the pie, and got back in the car. The pizza was on my lap, and she set her purse on top of the pizza. It was a hot summer day, the windows were down. We were about to drive away when a young kid - probably 15 or 16 - came up and asked for a slice of pizza. I said no, it was my dinner. He then asked for a dollar, to which I also replied no. Then, he put a gun to my chest and asked for the pizza. I kindly set the purse on the floor and handed him the pizza as he ran off.
There are, of course, 2 ways to read this story: 1) That Adriatico's is in a bad neighborhood and shouldn't be trusted as a place to pick up a pizza (I do not believe this to be the case whatsoever). Or 2) that Adriatico's pizza is so good it is worth risking jail time over if you can't scrounge for the dough. I like to believe it is the latter.
We went back in, told the staff, they made us another pizza. While we waited we walked down to the Cactus Pear, got a couple shots, and shook the whole thing off.

Some of my fondest memories of growing up in Cincinnati are wandering over to Adriatico's, ordering a Bearcat sized pizza, and sitting in the parking lot to eat it. The Bearcat is the perfect size for a bunch of hungry high school or college kids. I'm talking huge here.
One of the downsides is that they have no seating in the actual restaurant. They only do pick-up and deliveries.
The pizza is really phenomenal. Sometimes it can take a while to be made, but it's great when it gets to you. The crust is the perfect amount of fluffiness (I can't stand cardboard crusts) and the ingredients are fresh and plentiful.
I would recommend having Adriatico's pizza over LaRosa's or Mio's pizza any day. If you don't live near Clifton you probably can't get it delivered, so head on over and pick one up!Listed in: Cincinnati's Best Restaurants

Dewey's is my favorite "gourmet" pizza in Cincinnati, but Adriatico's is my favorite "real" pizza.
Despite being a Xavier student and a proud Musketeer fan, I have to admit that Adriatico's "Bearcat" is one of the most delicious things I've ever put in my mouth. This pizza is doughy (not quite deep-dish style, but close), garlickly, extra saucy, extra cheesey, and it seems to stay hot from the time you pick it up at the store 'til the time you get it to your table at home. Pepperoni at Adriatico's is lunch-meat size, and they don't skimp on the amount of it they use to decorate their pizzas, either. The best part about the Bearcat is its size; the pizza is downright enormous and could easily feed a small country. Ok, I exaggerate, but a seriously hungry family of 8 wouldn't be able to finish this monster.
There isn't anything fancy about Adriatico's store location but it doesn't really matter as this pizza is really designed for carry-out. It's a crowd pleaser for sure, next time you want to impress your family or group of friends skip LaRosa's and get some truly fabulous pies from Adriatico's. -
Review from Jessica K.
Cincinnati, OH
Being from New York, I have certain requirements for pizza to be truly considered "New York Pizza": thin yet flavorful crust, tangy sauce, the slices must be able to be folded in half, and it must be made fresh (i.e. when you order a pepperoni pizza, they do NOT just take a half-hour old cheese pizza, put pepperoni on it, and put it back in the oven for a few minutes).
Overall, this hole-in-the-wall pizza place definitely takes the cake... at least in Cincinnati. I have yet to find pizza in the queen city that is even remotely like NY-style pizza, but Adriatico's is as close as I've experienced in my 14 months of living in the area.
The pizzas are made fresh to order (expect a 20 minute wait for a whole pie), the crust is delicious and thin, the sauce is just okay (a little too sweet... I wish it had more of a bite!), and yes... I could fold my slice in half when eating it!
My only complaints are that there was WAY too much sauce, but I think that's just a personal preference. (My boyfriend - also born and raised in the NY area - loves lots of sauce on his pizza and wasn't complaining.) Also, I wish they had a dine-in option. We didn't know they only deliver or do take-out, so we had to sit outside and get eaten by mosquitos while we waited 20 minutes.
Luckily, when we got home we devoured our portions and were very satisfied. Also, the price can't be beat! They have a Monday night and Tuesday night special... I'm not entirely sure what it was, but we ordered what would have normally been a $17 pizza and a $2 bottle of soda, but our total was just over $16 including tax. Not too shabby!
This will definitely be our go-to pizza delivery and take-out place from now on, since it's as close to a "taste of home" as we can get. -

bad at getting orders right... i always make sure they know exactly what i want before i hang up the phone, and always double check your order before you leave w your pizza.
despite the frequent screw ups of my orders Adriatico's is still A+ in my book. -

I ordered the Supremo with thin crust. The toppings were very generous, the crust was crispy, and the sausage was very flavorful and plentiful. I was pleasantly surprised. Great pizza, you won't be disappointed.

I lived in New York, in an apartment, above a pizza joint. Emphasis in the name of Adriatico's New York Style Pizza, should be put on the word STYLE. Really the only thing about it that is New York is that its thin crust. Its fine if you live in Clifton and go to college, but unless you've graduated from UC and this pizza brings about some kind nostalgia, try some place else.

Had some luke warm leftovers chillin in my friends kitchen and it was hands down some of the best pizza I've ever had in Cincinnati. Will certainly eat more of it in the future.

I am a fan of Adriatico's, but my fiance is a SUPER-fan. She asserts that it is her favorite pizza in Cincinnati.
The pizza comes in two styles - thick and thin crust. We've only ordered the thick style. Who is watching calories at two in the morning? The pie comes topped with a slightly spicy sauce that is very good, decent quality cheese, and your toppings. I enjoy their pepperonis, which are the very large lunch meat style slices, not the dinky things you see on most pizzas.
The breadsticks are very, very, very good, as well. They are a buttery, braided concoction that comes with either pizza, butter, or cheese sauce. I particularly prefer the cheese sauce (a heavenly nacho'ish blend - forgive me, gourmet food gods).
The people who work there are usually fun, and are probably used to the "late crowd" coming in clamoring for late night noms.
Overall, good stuff. It's a shame I have to drive to get there, or I'd probably be ordering a bit more often during those late nights. -

Adriatico's has become synonymous with the greater Clifton area in so many different ways. It is often the choice of the staff in my emergency department when someone brings up getting delivery. It was the pizza that was offered to me when I came back to the area and went to UC's orientation for new students. My friend even works there now!
The reason it's being offered in so many different places is because the pizza really is that good. Absolutely enormous pies are their business; with a thick layer of toppings sitting on an equally thick crust.
Now, I will never, EVER deny that it is some of the greasiest pizza I have ever tasted. I think I end up washing my hands thoroughly sometimes twice, after every encounter with Adriatico's, and my stomach usually doesn't like me the next day, but it is worth it every. single. time.
Delivery or takeout are really the only options here, so don't plan a night around it. -

Adriatico's is a great Clifton restaurant.
The pizza is delicious. It is best served deep dish style with pepperoni or tomatoes. Everyone loves the 'bearcat' pizza, but the other menu items are often overlooked. Everything I've ordered has been a good value. I'd like to highlight a couple that stand out:
The bread-sticks are delicious. They are doughy and come with either pizza sauce or nacho cheese.
The meatball hoagie with banana peppers is very good.
The chef's salad is huge! It is absolutely loaded with meat and cheese. A small salad can be two meals.
Be warned: the pizza will give you the worst heart-burn ever.. but with food this tasty, I can play through the pain!
