On a return visit to Dillon, CO we looked forward to dining at Adriano's, a family-run restaurant specializing in northern Italian cuisine. We were not disappointed. The focused menu offers a small, carefully selected list of entrees that changes daily. Since our last visit, a wood-fired pizza oven has been installed. We ordered entrees. The bisteca, beef sirloin medallions in a butter sauce, is great. A fruti di mari, not on the menu but sometimes avaialble, was a memorable mix of shrimp, green mussels, and white fish in a delicious marinara. Chef Ivano is meticulous. All entrees (and pizzas) are accompanied by a soup, appetizer, and salad. Our soup was a brodo with ravioli, the appetizer a special meatball in butter sauce, the salad a mixture of baby greens. The wine list has some nice Italian selections. The friendly and knowledegable staff are strongly represented by Ivano's family. Son Adriano is the pizza chef and he knows his oven. Wife Gina is the hostess and also is a ceramics artist whose lovely works are displayed throughout the restaurant. We give this restaurant very high marks all around. Pleasant people, excellent food, generous portions, and very affordable prices. We will be back.

If I had to choose one word it would be adorable. Adriano's has a welcoming, friendly vibe and the kind of staff that manage to check in regularly without being obnoxious. We sat on the patio and took in a stunning view of the mountains and dined under twinkle lights, which are always a plus in my book. The price here can't be beat. Wine, 2 meals and dessert for 2 for $41 including tip is a killer deal anywhere, but particularly in a resort area. The food itself was plentiful-each meal includes a soup, salad and appetizer. I got spaghetti and meatballs, skipped the soup ( a cream of potato and salmon) my husband said was surprisingly light for a cream soup and quite tasty, had the salad, which was your basic lettuce+dressing and enjoyed the appetizer, a light mascarpone with a hint of raspberry on crackers. The meatballs and sauce on the spaghetti were about a C+; it had a bit of a sweet flavor and a nice kick at the end, but it was a little watery. If you go, be sure to bring an appetite and request an outdoor seat.

History
Established in 2010
The Ottoborgo family has been deeply immersed within the culinary arts for 3 generations with a business in the late 70's, Berthoud Falls Inn. The family then went on to open another restaurant in Dillon in 1988 aptly named Restaurante al Lago. The Ottoborgo family remained with Restaurante al Lago until 2000 where upon business was leased to another group. The Ottoborgo family is proud to bring you a new and unique Family style Restaurant bringing you Northern Italian cuisine. The new Restaurant is located in the same location as Restaurante al Lago but is now Adriano's Bistro & Deli. It has been open since December 21st 2010 and has many hopefull plans for the future of the business.
