OK. Adrian did the non-toxic, non-formaldahide (sp?) smoothing treatment on my hair last week (California Smooth). My hair has been amazing ever since. Even yesterday, when it rained ALL DAY, which, normally, would have been a recipe for Major FRIZZ alert. Instead, my hair looked fantastic. On top of being frizz-free, my hair dries in HALF the time. Oh, did I mention it is NON-toxic too! Seriously..Oh yea, my husband said he loves my hair. Bonus.

I've been entrusting my 'do to Adrian for about six years and can't imagine going anywhere else. The few times I ventured elsewhere, I came running back. He has a sincere, low-key manner that puts one at ease, he listens carefully and is precise and talented. If you're looking for a change, Adrian will create a flattering style. He goes the extra mile to ensure his clients are happy. I've never regretted sitting in his chair. It's a relaxing experience with great results every time.

Adrian is color-incredible! I was lucky enough to find him about 1.5 yrs ago & eagerly keep coming back. The very first time I went in, I described what I thought I was looking for when Adrian says: "Let me tell you what I thought as I saw you from across the room". How awesome is that?! Someone who has a vision! Style & color combinations I never dreamed possible! I trusted his creativity & it paid off in a major way...I felt sassy, flirty, and that people would hate me b/c I was beautiful...TONS of compliments about how great my hair looked.
I will also confirm others' statements that Adrian does spend time w/ his clients & I see that as a definite plus. If he's running late --- I think, "so what", b/c I know he's going to be providing the same dedication & attention to me & my needs & it's totally worth a few minutes wait --- have a coffee or a glass of wine & relax. This is not a assembly line - it's a salon & things take time. The place is fun & laid back, lots of people chatting, laughing & no rushing - so know that when you go in & be prepared to join the flow.
Adrian will take the time he needs to talk w/ you so that he can understand you as a person, find out what kind of person you are, how adventurous you are willing to be w/ your hair color & make sure you are comfortable w/ the direction you have discussed before getting out any materials.
The best thing is that he'll take your original ideas & build on them to develop something you never would have thought of & it looks absolutely fantastic. I have never been disappointed & you won't be either!Listed in: I'm So Vain.....

Adrian is amazing.. he will explain everything in detail and make sure you know all of your options with what you want to do with your hair . He's patient and will listen to all of your concerns and questions.i've been to others to do my hair but he's the best. . And his blow out is also amazing.. doesn't get much better!

I was in between hair stylists, looking for someone who was a fit for me, someone I trusted to become "my" hair stylist. I went on Adrian's website I saw that his approach would fit my lifestyle & had the hair philosophy I was looking for.
He does amazing cuts that really are wash & wear but look just as good if you use a hair dryer & some product. For the first color session he asked questions, had examples, & really listened to me. He gave me exactly what I wanted. And the color really lasted! Now I just sit in his chair while he makes suggestions & let him do his thing. He gets my hair, he gets my lifestyle & has delivered great cuts & color every time.
The salon he works in is very convenient to downtown, bright, & funky in that good San Francisco way. The receptionist is extremely nice & helpful. Adrian also has an on-line system that makes is really easy to book appointments but he will take your calls as well. His website is also a wealth of information that really helps give you the information you need to make informed decisions about your hair.
I can't recommend him enough. -

Adrian did a great ob. I used a now groupon. He covered my grey and then added a little punch the ends. His blowdrying technique is also great. The products he used are great for the hair as well. I had never been to him before, but will start.

Adrian is a cut and color genius. I get compliments wherever I go - seriously, people stop me on the street all the time to tell me how striking my haircolor is. And Adrian is so pleasant to work with. He's gotten to know my tastes and my personal style so well. Whenever he's had suggestions for changes, I'm happy to experiment - I trust him implicitly, and he's never steered me wrong.

I am a bratty, snobby, elitist when it comes to getting my hair cut. I want it done my way and I want it to be different from what anyone else has. I always get this from Adrian. He always takes the time to sit with me and consult before cutting my hair. I always walk out with a great hair cut that gets lots of comments.

I'm a male client of Adrian's and have followed him around several different locations over the years. No one has ever cut my hair better. I never have to worry about the result. He's a virtuoso: exceptionally talented, hard working and approaches his work with great care and attention to detail.
The space is wonderful as well: bright, cheery and unpretentious. -

I absolutely LOVE my hair!!! After a year of searching through the sea of SF salons for someone I can trust, but who can bring solid advice to the table....I have found it in Adrian!!! He is more than a hair designer....he is a chemist! He loves the chemistry of color more than any stylist I have ever met----and I have had my hair done by Bumble & Bumble NY, B2V in LA, Sebastian in LA, Garon in NY and Diapetro Todd in SF. I consider myself an expert consumer in hair! He takes small risks that make a big difference. I recommended him to my roomate and we both feel so good about our hair! He went a little darker than we expected on both of us....so bewarer of that. But, it is so worth it! Darker is something I would have never thought would have looked good and I feel my hair is the best it has looked in years. He uses very safe and vibrant colors----colors you do not find colorists in SF using often because they are expensive for him to purchase! No Wella here folks! He uses color from Schwarzkopf who create some of the richest and interesting shades I have ever seen. Plus, he is not overly expensive....ok, he is not cheap....but at least you get what you pay for and more with Adrian! I love him!

Don't mind the star ratings - I can't decide how many to give...
Adrian is a very nice guy. He had to push my appointment back over half an hour, but I didn't mind so much. He did ask me what I wanted, etc, but then failed to follow through with remembering where I part my hair or how I don't normally style it straight. He parted it more in the middle, then blow dried it straight, though he did offer to rewet & redry, etc, but I woulda felt too bad and just wanted to get outta there. I always feel too bad or wonder if it was my fault in what I asked for... The cut left me overly bangy and he kept having to fix it up b/c I thought it was not blended in (which made the bangs shorter). I do love the coloring he did, but I also think I could have done the coloring myself at home since it was just all over. I have yet to see what he can do with highlights. Even though I didn't feel completely comfortable with the haircut, my bf loved it, so I guess it wasn't bad. I'll give Adrian another chance... Next time, I'll get under-highlights (as he suggested for the next step) and will try to be even more specific about the cut. I dunno if he was partly rushing because I was the last customer and he had just taken so long with the girl before me, who had been running behind and had pushed his schedule back. In any case, I'll post again when I go back in a couple of months.
UPDATE: i went back i think in november or december 2006. i went ahead and gave an extra star because adrian seems so genuinely interested in coloring & keeping hair healthy. my hair is medium to long and he says he likes precision cuts, which are more noticeable on shorter hair. i again wasn't thrilled about my bangs. =o(. oh well, he really tried. i think it's just my dang hair! i like the coloring though... it's different. i wish it lasted longer so i didn't have to go back frequently (expensive...). -

I give Adrian 5 Stars because he really is as good as it gets! He is responsible for all of the wonderful compliments I get on my hair cut and color on a daily basis. He is the master at creating cuts with style, not cuts that need to be styled. For years he has been the artist behind my hair color and understands the nuances of how to work with color that always results in the perfect shade of red. I can't forget to mention how in love I am with his online appointment system. 24/7 I can hop online and view his availability and match it with my schedule. Such a perk!
