came here for the Taste of Bayside event. so I'll have to rate the facilities based on how good it was for a convention/conference.
this place was very clean, looks old-fashioned yet well-kept, and it's easy to navigate. the Taste of Bayside event took up the largest event hall for the vendors, and then a medium-size and large-size room for additional seating and companies. you can pack a lot of people here, but it didn't feel claustrophobic.
parking is available, but the parking deck is small.
easy to get to - just follow Northern Boulevard!
would I return for other events here? yes, indeed.
a quick ten-minute ride to JFK airport (I drove Monique's friend home, and she lives right near there), so I imagine this is convenient for business travelers who don't need to be right in the center of Manhattan. -

This hotel is conveniently located on Northern Blvd in Bayside. It's got a sister hotel right across the street. There are several bus lines and the expressway is right there a block down. I've stayed at this hotel a few times now on trips to NYC for weddings and other events, and the prices have always been reasonable. The rooms are small but adequate and well kept for the location. There is a small parking deck (on a hill, around the corner) and I've not had a problem trying to find a spot. The free wifi is a bit slow in the rooms but workable.
All in all this is a no frills, conveniently located affordable clean hotel option for Queens, NY. -

The Adria was great. At first glance, I was more than skeptical because the lobby and floor hallways are nothing to write home about. The rooms are small and outdated, but overall I really enjoyed staying here. Why, you ask?
1. They have plastic (not hot or noisy) mattress protectors in addition to a cotton mattress pad. A PLUS for a self prescribed germ-a-phobe.
2. Although the rooms are small, they're adequate and clean.
3. Freebies...well kinda (you are paying for the room)! Included in the price-free WiFi, a dorm size frig, parking, and breakfast.
4. The breakfast is not brunch at the Four Seasons but it will suffice for nourishment. There are hot and cold item everyday.
5. The staff are lovely. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeepers were friendly and happy to help whenever possible.
6. The nightly rate was reasonable. The hotel is in Bayside which is about 30minutes from Penn Station. You have to take the LIRR into Manhattan, which is a 25 minute ride. The prices are reasonable (especially on the weekend) and the train runs 24 hours. The only drawback is the hotel is about 1 mile from the train station. It's not a horrible walk and it was safe (I walked alone at 1:45 am). It's a quiet area and you walk on a main street between the two locations. There is also a 24 hour cab company at the train station that cost approximate $6 one way.
Overall, I'd definitely stay here again.
