Been driving by this place meaning to try it for some time - usually on the way to Buona Beef right up the road.  They've had a sign up for some time advertising a $2.99 Italian Beef.  That's what I ordered today. Suprisingly the beef came with an order of fries at that price - although the large 32 oz Coke drove the price above $7 (which is average for this area).

Staff was friendly and talkative.  Definately a "hole-in-the-wall" joint with a Chicago sports theme and my kind of place.  You usually find the best food in these kinds of places.  So I was excited for my lunch.

I had a few fries on the way back to work which were outstanding! But was disappointed in the beef.  Although the bread was soggy for the au jous, the beef was dry and a bit tough.

Will I be back again? Definately - they have a large menu and I am hoping that this was just an off day.

I would give it no stars if I could. RUDE!
So I'm not from around here, but found favorable ratings on Yelp for Adreani's. On a Monday evening I called for their hours and was told they were open until 9. It was about 8:25. I arrived about 8:35 and was told I would have to order take out as the dining room was closed. OK, not a deal breaker. So, I grab a menu from the counter and begin to peruse. About 30 seconds later I hear someone yelling from the kitchen area something to the effect of "hey we're closed, don't take his order"
I checked my watch as I left. It was 8:45. The sign in the front window clearly stated Monday open until 9:00.
How rude. No I'm sorry, try us again or anything. The girl at the counter just shrugged.
Oh well, I was prepared to write a nice review about a local business. Instead I went to a chain a couple of blocks away, Rosati's, which is open until 3:00am. Rosati's has friendly service, and a good pizza. Too bad for Adreani's. I'll not try them again when in the area. Look for a good review for Rosati's from me.

ugh.  I'm the unsuspecting traveler who is staying at a nearby hotel, and spent a respectable amount of time on Yelp to find Sunset Grill with rave reviews in the same strip mall.  Unfortunately, Sunset Grill was closed.  Now what?  Hmm, 2 or 3 doors down is Adreani's Pizza.  I'm in the mood for Italian, why not?  After all, we all know that sometimes its the hole in the wall dives that have the best food!

Unfortunately, not this time.  Like someone else said, I too was the only person in the place, and I was there for an hour, at dinner time!!  That was a bad sign.  I asked the nice waitress if anything was homemade and unfortunately the answer was no.  Another bad sign.  But I ordered the baked lasagne which came with french bread and a salad.  The salad was topped with a single cucumber slice and a single tomato slice.  (what did they do with the rest of the cucumber and tomato??)

The bread was cold and stale, and came with tiny cold butter tubs that I didn't have the patience to deal with, especially since it was unspreadable.  I thought, wow, they could SAVE money by spreading their own garlic butter on the bread in the kitchen and toasting it a bit, which would have masked that it was stale!   Not to mention they might get some return customers if they tempted folks in with a nice toasty warm garlic bread!  It was barely edible, and I mainly used it as a tool to push the iceburg lettuce and lasagne onto my fork.  Very disappointing.

The lasagne wasn't bad... tastewise.  But since I got back to the hotel I've been in the bathroom in a very unfortunate way for the last 30 minutes, and I'm about to run back in there.  I hope I can make my early meeting tomorrow morning!

    Sigh.  Ugh.  Ick.  Bad.

    This place is fantastic.
The typical 'antique' sports posters, 15 table, old chair place.
The place has a homely feel to it that really makes you feel that you're visiting your Italian best friend's mom's joint.
The food may not be the greatest, but the staff are VERY friendly that will help you out with anything. Third glass of water? Sure.

I had walked in here since Sultan's Kitchen (two doors down) closed down-it hasn't been open for like a week now?- I walked in here and wanted something quick. So I had ordered the 10 inch dipping pizza and garlic bread. Though there was no one in the place, I had received my order in under ten minutes. Ten minutes for a ten inch pizza + garlic bread = 10 bucks. not bad, not bad.

I'm definitely swinging back here, sure beats the mainstream lunch rush at the other places.

Friendly neighborhood pizza and more. I love this place because A. it is within walking distance. B. The prices are great. and C I support the local high schoolers who man the counter. Truthfully I really cook at home so having a nice place nearby that delivers and doesnt go to the wrong house is wonderful.
