Had to do this while it was still fresh. Me: mostly clueless boyfriend entering an entirely overwhelming jewelry shop. Molly: ridiculously helpful guide translating my nonsensical jewelry descriptions of what my gf likes. Thankfully I was the only patron in the store when I entered because Molly had her hands full. 30 minutes later (including a call to my gf's roomate which she fielded for me) I leave the shop happy and mostly confident that I've got some 'pure gold' in my hands.
Time will be the true test, but I'm pretty sure this return receipt won't be necessary. -

Expensive jewelery, but it's all crafted by local artists. I like the fact that you can try on pretty much everything that is displayed. Prices are high, but they do have items that are marked down. And when I visited, there was a section set aside of "Chinese New Year" items that were 20% off. I ended up with a double strand of pearls with interspersed crystal beads for 50% off.
The sales girl was extremely helpful and chatty, explaining the history of the store. Don't forget to snag a chocolate or a candy heart on the way out! -

I stopped in with some friends one evening to discover treasures galore! Adorna Bella carries gorgeous jewelery created by local artisans. I'm talking one of a kind pieces here! The prices are reasonable for the quality of the pieces in my opinion. These aren't Forever 21 prices, but you won't look like you shopped at Forever 21 either!
Brownie Points: The girl working at the store offered us chocolates! Jewelry and chocolates, what's not to love?! -

Please grant me strength to walk by Adorna Bella twice every day on my way to and from work without blowing my entire annual salary on locally made and designed jewelry. Grant me prudence in the purchase of my friends' birthday presents, birthday presents to myself, and other presents to myself unrelated to my birthday. Walking through North Beach, halfway through my 7.5 mile walk of San Francisco, I spied this cute little store and popped in. Natalee was very helpful in finding an awesome necklace for my girlfriend and she even gave me a list of restaurants to visit during my stay!
Its small and very inviting; definitely worth the visit if you like funky, unique jewelry. Also, she has these beautiful little butterfly pins for your hair that my girlfriend adores.
Tired of the same-old, same-old? Cruise on by and dig this place! -

This place is open late! It's actually how I came across this shop. I was going to go to the shop next door, but it has normal boutique hours and had already shut.
Lots of jewelry here. The owner stocks local jewelry makers and there were some very cool rings that I wanted. But even $220 at 50% off (which would make it $110) was a bit out of my price range. They did have a Turkish-style "evil eye" ring with rhinestones surrounding it. If only the eye was not made out of plastic! It was $20.
Saw some beautiful necklaces here that would go well with a bridal gown, they even had tiaras too. Because I make jewelry myself, I know how much I could make it for, hence I am a bit reluctant to pay boutique prices. However, for one of a kind gifts or to treat yourself, this store is a fun spot. -

Definitely one of my favorite shops to wander into while strolling along North Beach. Every time I make my way into Adorna Bella, I am greeted warmly by whoever is working that day, and I've yet to come across anyone who seems to have that "over it" attitude that is so prevalent in North Beach shops. They seem very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to selecting jewelry or accessories (for both men AND women) for any occasion.
I've also had the pleasure of meeting the owner a couple of times, who is also a very talented and creative jeweler. I love that every item in the store is hand-selected and unique. Also, the jewelry that Natalee, the owner, designs and creates herself is fabulous. So fabulous, in fact, that one of my closest girlfriends is having both hers and her fiance's wedding bands custom designed by Natalee herself. The store also showcases other jewelry designers/artists, as well, so it's a great place to find one-of-a-kind pieces and sets.
Also, the store has a lot of unique vintage items - I bought an amazing vintage clutch: hard casing with rhinestone details on the clasp - I love it and I get a lot of compliments on it, as well.
Next time you're in North Beach, definitely stop by Adorna Bella. It's great if you're just browsing but it's also fantastic if you want to purchase beautiful and unique jewelry (and accessories!) that meets most price ranges.Comment from Audrey L. of Adorna Bella 6/24/2009

Rude salesperson. My daughter was touching some props and a piece of fern came off. The sales lady sternly asked if I was going to buy anything. That's a great way to get rid of your customers. Didn't really see anything I liked anyway and all items over priced.

In full disclosure- Natalee is a good friend of mine, but after five minutes with her, she will be a good friend of yours as well. When my boyfriend at the time proposed without a ring I was a bit sad, but when he told me that he wanted me to work with Natalee to create the exact ring that I wanted excited took over. Being friends with Natalee and spending countless hours at Adorna Bella, I knew how talented she is, but not until I went through the engagement ring process did I realize just how wonderful she is.
Creating our rings with Natalee and my now husband was one of the greatest experiences of my life! Natalee helped every step of the way and provided such great direction and ideas in the most comfortable setting. I now have a completely unique, hand picked, one of a kind ring that I love so much. I don't know why anybody would ever buy an engagement ring from one of those big chain jewelers. In addition to doing the engagement ring, she also did our wedding bands (really connecting all 3 rings).
I can't explain how grateful I am for Natalee! She really added a special piece to our engagement and wedding. I highly recommend Natalee and Adorna Bella. Thanks Natalee, you're the best!1 Previous Review: Show all »

I was in here looking for a necklace for my fiancee and found one within, what felt like minutes. It was a retro looking necklace I knew she'd dig (she loves it), and it was a lot less then I expected it to be.
The girl working there was also really helpful and understanding of the massive hangover I was nursing from the night before. For the amount of pain I was in, my experience here was perfect.

Walked by many times and finally stepped inside to look recently. It's a small store PACKED with accessories...if it wasn't so hot in there, I likely would end up staying for hours and spending way too much $!
This visit, I bought a purse at a great price and I've gotten plenty compliments so far. I understand all their jewelry are from local designers and they are always rotating items and artists...so come often and if you see something you really like, snatch it up or be sorry!

I found this place while in San Francisco visiting my cousin. We fell in love. I could buy everything in here, it's all so beautiful! The girl who was working at the time, Sarah, was also super friendly.

Okay. Sure you shouldn't listen to me because I don't wear jewelery and know nothing about it, other than that some of it looks really awesome, but I work in the neighborhood and pass by almost everyday and these ladies are great. Natalie and Marcy are the best!

you know when you find like YOUR own little place? like a bar that NOBODY knows about, but they have GREAT drinks and atmosphere or a boutique that has AWESOME finds, discount designer clothes, etc or a nail place that ALWAYS has a seat for you and give you the PERFECT pedi EVERY TIME?
you don't wanna share it. you wanna be f*cking greedy and when people ask you "OHHH~ IT'S SO CUTE!! where did you buy it?" you don't wanna tell them cuz it's YOUR boutique
but.......i LOOOOOVE this place! and I HAVE TO TELL THE WORLD!! im coming out kids!! watch out!
it is super cozy and quaint and there seems to be treasure to be found in every nook and every corner~ the whole place is filled with one-of-a-kind jewelery and trinkets and purses... when i asked them if they make these jewelery there, they said these are all works of local artists~! you can definitely find something that SCREAMS your name or your friends name~ whether it's beaded or silver or gold
my friend also got her ring CUSTOM MADE from them!! she took in her grandmother's diamond and they made a super cute~ and super fab ring and the jewelery maker totally worked with her step by step and made sure that she did her grandmother's diamond justice~

A couple of my friends had their wedding rings designed and made by Natalie and they are absolutely gorgeous. Natalie really took a lot of time and worked with them step by step through the whole process and they've ended up with original pieces that will be passed down as heirlooms to their children. A couple of my other friends are reguars here as well and I'm always envious of their headbands, jewelry and scarves. If I ever make it across the city into Northbeach, this is going to be my first stop!

I love, love this store. Owned by Natalee Thomas, she's local, friendly, helpful and the greatest. I've taken pieces to her where she's fixed it for a small fee or free. Consequently, I buy a lot of jewelry from her--love the local artists, and one-of-a-kind finds. Her prices are really reasonable and she always has a big smile on her face that makes you want to come back and again. This is one of the best stores on Columbus Ave.

Adorna Bella is another one of those North Beach treasures. Owner Natalee is a talented artist and jewlery designer in high demand for custom work. She has put great attention to detail in to her shop and is always bringing in new pieces and re-styling the place. She hires cool people (hi Sarah!) and is the kind of mom-n-pop that makes the 'hood unique. I've gotten stuff for a variety of people from 11 to 60.

Adorna Bella is my favorite store for holiday gifts!! All the jewelry's reasonably priced and unique since it's from local artists, so it's a great place to buy gifts for my mom and other family members. Can't wait to stop in again this weekend!

This is the only place I buy jewelry in San Francisco. I can always count on someone asking me "where did you get that necklace/ring/set of earrings" and being able to say "I got them at Adorna Bella in North Beach. They were made by a local artist and there are no others like it." Of course, I say that a bit nicer ;) All of the pieces are awesome reasonably priced, and Natalee (the owner) is always great at showing you "how to wear it." Adorna Bella

Off all the boutique jewelers in San Francisco, this is the one I bring my mom to when she wants something that's classy, beautiful, but still way hipper than all her friends have back in Texas. She's always getting compliments on the stuff that Natalee picks out for her. Bring a camera, lots of celebs shop there too.

I came in to poke around and ended up chatting and getting some great service! This is the perfect store to go to if you have some money to spend and you want a one-of-a-kind piece. They have a great rings, necklaces, and scarves. Adorna Bella is the perfect place for a gift (not specifying for yourself or someone else!!).

I wish I simply had more money so I could buy more jewelry. The pieces in this boutique are absolutely beautiful and the owner couldn't have been more helpful especially since I'm so terribly indecisive. I ended up purchasing a vintage inspired ring and a pair of big gold earrings. Most of the pieces in here are made by local bay area artists and I love to shop locally so this is the perfect store for me. While hunting for earrings I expressed concerns over my sensitive ears and offered change the backing of the earrings to gold (with an additional charge of course since gold is expensive). I will definitely be back!

So happy to live so close to this store!!! I recently had a bday to go to and last minute realized i still didnt have a gift for my gf. I couldnt think of anything and nearly gave up, but before leaving to meet the girls i stopped over at the store and sure enough bought a totally cute and decently priced pair of earrings...my girlfriend LOVED them, she raved all night she even took the other pair (another gift) she was wearing off and she popped on the pair i bought her. What a great store! I was in SF for a wedding and was in the North Beach area when I walked by Adorna Bella. I walked in and walked out of there with several pieces of jewerly. I will definitely be by again when I'm in town!

My favorite jewelry store in the city - well priced (and even those pieces that are expensive are worth the price - one of a kind art). The people who work here are really nice and helpful. It is a totally low key place where you can try on anything. Fun. Artistic. Jewelry.

This is a great little shop in the middle of North Beach. Every time I come in I find something dazzling for a very fair price. Kaylee has especially been helpful and is always willing and able to make recommendations based on what I like. If you're shopping for anyone who likes jewelry this Christmas (including men, their cufflinks are awesome) definitely stop by Adorna Bella.

This is my absolute go-to boutique when I need to get a present for someone or a treat for myself. There are so many unique things here, I always find the perfect piece. This petite and whimsical store feels like my little secret - I always get compliments on the jewerly I've bought from here. The owner has a fantastic eye for locally made jewelry. I love this place!

I've been in here a few times and for a small store they have a great selection of local artisans work. Was looking for something extra after purchasing a ring here for my gf as the anniversary is approaching, the owner Natalee was outgoing and very accommodating. She didn't seem to mind digging through some items not on display just to help me find what I was looking for. The employees are great too, one of them agreed with me about my choice in rings after my girl found another she wanted me to look at. The second ring was more expensive, I know at many places they'll try to sell you on the more expensive piece. Honesty is nice to find in retail. I also appreciate how they are willing to hold items for you. This is a great destination if you are looking for something beautiful for someone beautiful in your life. They have a great selection of unique and interesting items for the ladies all from the hands of local talent. Oh, and one star for them having a chair(even though the place is SMALL) for the gentleman to be comfortable while the woman is doing her thing.

I love the vibe of this place. The window art absolutely accomplishes it purpose of inviting with a promise . Neither the interior decor nor the merchandise disappoints.... each piece is unique. And the ladies are seriously friendly and sweet particularly Audrey .No matter how busy the store is,she makes it a point to make everyone feel welcome. Its one of my favourite pick me up spots in the neighbourhood.

cutest jewelry store in North Beach. Ok only 4 people can fit in it at a time, but that way you get very personal service. They will even shorten or alter the jewels to your specifications. It is an arty jewel box in itself . And its just down the street from another darling store, Abitare!!! Two great stores in one block. Who would have thunk! Go there and support the neighborhood that we love!
