Review from Tara C.
I'm always looking for a new local treat that I can enjoy AND send back to the mainland. I dig Adoboloco for its jalapeno spicy goodness. Its cool for a couple of reasons:
1) I like that its made in small batches
2) I LOVE that its locally produced.
3) Its spi-sey!
Produced by a Maui-based farmer-prenuer, Adoboloco is the perfect amount of spice. So far I've had it mixed into spreadable cheese for a cheese dip, made a mean chicken marinade with it. And one day, when actually making something was too much for me, I even ate it straight with Ritz Crackers.
Basically, if you're looking for a spicy inspiration, then you've got to try Adobeloco. If you've got mainland friends who crave a little crazy, this is gonna make a good holiday gift!Listed in: Maui Must-Do
Specialties
Made in Hawaii sauces, rubs and other delicious Island flavors, naturally ONOlicious!
History
Established in 2011
Adoboloco all started from my love of Chicken and Pork Adobo, easily one of my favorite meals. My mom showed me how to cook it when I was about 12. She learned it from a Filipino family friend here in Kihei, Maui. She grew up cooking Vinha d'Alhos ( Portuguese Pickled Pork ) which is very similar to the Filipino style Adobo everyone is used to in Hawaii. Continued on our website under Talk Story... Mahalo
