The Adobe campus on Townsend is gorgeous - the entire layout is a comfortable mix of vintage industrial and contemporary, open spaces and more private spaces. It's amazing that with the great sense of openness here that the place isn't more noisy!
Now, on to Adobe Software - it totally rules! I especially like the Adobe Labs website (http://labs.adobe.com/) where you can try out all sorts of great software (like converting Flash to HTML? This has got to be a boon in the creative/marketing agency world!).
The Adobe Forums (http://forums.adobe.co...) are a great place to get your questions answered and to find out more about the software you're using. If you still can't get an answer there - or you want some help (or to help someone) with a particular solution, the Adobe Cookbooks are a tremendous resource (http://cookbooks.adobe...). -

I went to Adobe for one of their HTML5 Camps.
I was expecting more information about HTML 5 but it became more of a show and tell of different software like Adobe DreamWeaver, Adobe Edge, and the likes.
I would not have mind if they actually told us that it was about showcasing their software and not about HTML5 specifically.
The most awesomest part was that they provided pizza, salad, snacks, soft drinks, beer and all for free!! -

I recently interviewed with Adobe in S.F. and I just have to say I really loved everyone I met and the environment. I am not saying this because it will help me get the job ( I know some of you are thinking that); I am a brutally honest unbias reviewer. The culture is great, the people all seem to really love what they are doing and their team... what more can you ask for.
I heart adobe. -

Acrobat Pro 10 Sucks and so does Adobe service. Could not get it to install and work, could not get tech help because they said I had already installed it (although not to where it actually worked) could not uninstall because of a bug.
This software sucks. -

Yes, I feel compelled to write a review on this place bc it is such a great space. I was there because a friend (who works @ Adobe) helped me transfer info from my old computer to the new one. The cafeteria space is amazing. Really open, lots of variety, they serve Blue Bottle coffee there. Definitely made me appreciate the perks -- especially since it was the Friday before Halloween and they were converting the space in time for a party later that afternoon. Sweet.

I come here, on occasion, for User Events for some of their Flash & In Design products. I've also come to this location as a Beta Tester for DreamWeaver. The staff is always friendly. The building is very clean and modern.
I just don't understand why they used to give away free raffle tickets at these events and now you have to pay for them? I guess everyone is being affected by the economy, even the successful software giants of the design world. :( -

This is the old Macromedia HQ and it houses most of the flash/web-focused product teams. The building in quite beautiful and the very definition of what dotcoms aspire to. Exposed brick and steel beams, meeting rooms filled with couches and a cafeteria that gives the local restaurants a run for their money.
If the public could get past Adobe security w/o a badge, the lines at the Adobe Cafe would be out the door. Hands-down, some one of the best corporate cafeteria's I've had the pleasure of eating in. No only is the food fresh and the menu varied, but they offer several healthy options.
They _do_ have a coffee bar on the opposite side of the cafe, but it's a big #fail. You're better off walking down the block to Starbucks (where you'll see many Adobe employees).
Adobe holds a lot of events that are open to the public here. There is a small meeting space prior to security that is home to local user groups. Behind security there is an auditorium for lectern-style presentations and the open cafeteria is commonly re-purposed for large social gatherings. -

The Adobe building opens its doors for AIGA events including the Debbie Millman hosted guest lectures. The event is catered pretty well, just be sure to get there early before the rest of the crowd. Your ticket includes free drinks (alcohol included), various appetizers, and desserts.
AIGA and Adobe sometimes gives out free stuff. There are graphic design venders trying to sell you things as well.
The presentation area is pretty nice. They have seating for at least a hundred. They also have screens to project the video recorded presentations.
Security is pretty tight. They have a few security guards standing in the lobby. You also have to wear a guest badge to get pass the "gates". If I remember correctly I think you still can bring in your bags, but I could certainly be wrong.
A great place to visit if you happen to be attending a design lecture series.

I don't know if this event space, or whatever it is, should be held accountable for my Illustrator CS2 issues, but I am raging mad and I want to share my misery. At some point last week my Illustrator stopped opening... not Photoshop, not Bridge... as soon as I have a few logos to design and I need my vector editing capabilities intact, MY G-DD-AMN illstrator won't open.
I've tried all the free troubleshooting documents in the adobe support, but there is no solution. And the support that individuals have to pay for costs from $29-$249. I'm not making that much on this logo, guys. COME ON!
AND they aren't open on the weekend. So while my oddly-houred designer ass is working at 10:58 on a Saturday night, those snobs over at Adobe are out at a Flying Lotus gig in the Mission or something.
AHHHHH!
ps. I love your products, and I can't live without them. PLEASE HELP MEEEEE! -

I have a cheap Canon digital camera, 3.5 pixels, and it takes nice photos but not great photos. A few months ago I got to meet with Ethan Russell, the famed photographer of The Who, The Beatles and The Stones and chatted with him about digital photography. He said he would have certainly used a digital camera then if they had been available. Ethan turned me on to the Adobe Workshop which is part of Photoshop and I have been very pleased..okay, ecstatic! I have been able to revive old, faded pictures from my world travels 30 years ago, creating the vibrant colors I remember when I took those pictures. Since they use PSD format (Photoshop Documents), I've been able to
re-edit quite easily. I am using the basic Photoshop as money is tight right now but have been quite pleased in the finished product. -

Came to Adobe's SF office for a seminar. Aside from security (apparently you need an employee to let you through the security stalls (will they tackle you if you rushed the stalls w/o an escort?), this is one cool location.
The mini theater was very comfortable. They even had little tables for you to pull up and take notes. Restrooms were clean and plentiful.
As you can tell I'm a big Adobe fan! This place is great! -

They have bugs in their products. You call to discuss and they force you to buy a contract for $175 for 5 "instances". You call after 1 year and they tell you the contract is only good for 1 year. No one ever said that when I bought it. Some one needs to make a product better than Adobe Dreamweaver so we wont have to be locked into evil.

I was just reminded why I dumped Adobe way back when - just tried to order a $1300 package online for download it requires 24 hours for them to get their act together to do a download. . !??. . really, Adobe, it's the 21st century. . no wonder you're still so tied to Windows. If I needed the software in question TOMORROW, I could have just gone to a retail outlet. . what a bunch o' loooozers. . . I'll just cancel and look for another solution.
