Just started taking my dogs here.

    First impression,

!.  Charming adobe looking front entrance,Great parking.

    2. Very friendly front desk people. Attentive, personable and most importantly, soooo friendly to my dog I brought.
I guess they get it, that we are the reason why they have a job and the Adobe staff  are very appreciative of that and who genuinely like , I mean genuinely love the animals that come in and they SHOW IT by spoiling the pets who walk in the door.  When I came in for the first time, both of the Adobe staff came out from behind the front desk, gave my dog treats and lots of attention.... so cool!

    3.  Dr. Kriensky, who saw my dog was very precise, quick and took the least toxic approach to my dog's issue and she is responding beautifully to Dr. Kriensky's prescription.

    4.  After appointment, my dog was once again spoiled with treats and attention.
And I had great conversations with the other clients in the front area.  It was difficult to leave, i was having so much fun.

So far, I am very happy with Adobe Pet Hospital.

Call ahead of time to make sure the vet you are requested is still there.

My dog has been in for the last 3 days. Seems like all the vets mentioned in the prior posts are NO LONGER THERE. Spent a decent amount of money during the last 3 days with unsure results. The first night my dogs stool was brought in but never tested, I had asked about the results and was told by the fill in vet that it was abnormal however she never took any action. Still no fecal on my guy. Lots of money later, I am going to restart at another vet tomorrow. The vet there now seems to care but with only 1 doctor how do you treat all your patients and respond back to the parents dishing out lots of money only to not get any real response. Not to mention about a month ago they didnt give him all the vaccines he needed. Complete chaos. Out of meds my guy needed. Kind of a shitshow but I wanted to get to the root of my dogs illness..... still searching for an answer. They were nice to my guy but niceness isn't everything. This place is not very organized.

Save yourself the heartache and find a better vet office.

I have two dogs and I just moved to town. I had a wonderful vet back in our old town and did some research for a new vet and Adobe fit the bill. I brought one of my dogs in for some special needs in addition to a standard check up. Dr Radke was more than helpful, considerate and, most importantly, knowledgable...Carlos at the front desk was very helpful as well and was sure to follow up with me after my visit with a call to let me know the type of special food one of my dog needs had arrived and, he would be sure to put some aside for me as well!

Cost was typical for a vet visit and was certainly comparable to what I paid before at my last vet (who was out of state, by the way)

If parking is the only negative about Adobe Pet Hospital...which, by the way, parking was not at all an issue for me nor did I think it was even necessary to comment...then Adobe appears to be a great operation!

    Thanks Adobe!

Right away I'm taking two stars away from this Veterrnarian service based solely on their parking situation. The office is at the intersection of Miller Avenue and Hwy 1 - the corner is known as Tamalpais Valley Junction. The parking lot has spaces for 6 cars, but I have never seen 6 in there and I wouldn't want to - it would be impossible to get out if there were 6 cars in the lot. There would be no room to back out of your space.  In addition the small entrance to the parking lot empties into the very end of the very busy turn lane on Hwy 1. The situation is so bad that I am surprised they don't have accidents there on a daily basis.

I have started parking further down the road in a larger shopping / parking lot and walking. Of course that isn't that much easier, and it is probably a lot more dangerous - you must walk on th edge of the turn lane - - there are no sidewalks and no other way to get into the business.

Having taken away two stars and said all that negative parking lot stuff, I am giving the Dr's and staff the full FIVE STARS. They really are wonderful and treat me and my kitty with the utmost care. I can't say enough positive about their service.  Check them out . . . the love of your life puppy / kitty will appreciate it.

The only negative I can say about Adobe Pet Hospital is that you are taking your life in your hands getting in and out of their parking lot.

I am a vet phobe but these people are great.  I've seen both Dr. Steele and Dr. Manning.  Both are kind and good with my cats.  What I really appreciate is that they don't go all test crazy.  Vets are expensive and I like that they take my budget in to consideration and don't make me feel like a heel because I can't do the 700 dollar test on my cat.

As far as the parking goes, yes it's tight, but I've always been able to find a spot .  I have parked there when it is full and have been able to get out.  Just takes a 5 point turn.

Dr. Cynthia Steele at Adobe Pet Hospital is an amazing person and an extraordinary vet.   My heart is deeply touched at the level of care and attention my dogs have received by Doctor Steele and all the staff there.

The difference between bringing my pets to Adobe Pet Hospital and all other pet care centers in the Bay Area I have visited over the past 12 years, is that at Adobe Pet Hospital the care is actually CARE.

I moved from Sausalito to Mill Valley and tried bringing my pets to vets in the city.  NO GO.  Other vets in the Bay Area seem to be completely out of wack--charging much more and giving far less.   I could write horror stories of experiences at the hands of other vets---a mess of appointment confusions and distraction at exhorbitant prices!  Instead, I've learned my lesson---if my dogs, Max & Dogness, need care, I drive back to Mill Valley and Dr. Steele for her exemplary level of knowledge and expertise.

Once, Dogness had to have an emergency operation.  Dr. Steele identified the right doctor to perform the surgery--her staff made the appointment for me and Dr. Steele followed the procedure and recovery all the way through.  Extraordinary care!

Again, from the moment of making an appointment, to attention on arrival, through examination, decision-making for determining the level of medication or treatment, cost per treatment, payment, instruction for home care--every single step of the care at the hands of Dr. Cynthia Steele and staff is far above 5-star.

Wow!  (Or should I say, WOOF!)  D.Dog and I have been to a few different veterinarians across the Bay Area, and the team at Adobe is the best I've seen.  They are conscientious, friendly, competent, and on-the-ball without being all aggro.  D.Dog is basically healthy but is 9 years old, so I wanted him to have a good check-up.  Dr. Manning addressed all of my questions and concerns without hesitation OR alarm, told me what things to look out for, and eagerly suggested some cheap & easy solutions before recommending expensive procedures.  I think D.Dog is actually anxious to go back ... but maybe that has something to do with the cute female black lab he met in the waiting room.

I'm so sad that dr. Robinson left, but would take my pets there again.  They were so sweet when i had to take my 20year old cat in to be put down. I grew up with him and had him since I was 5.  They let me say goodbye, and explained the process to me.  6mos later, I couldnt bring myself to get another cat, so we got a dog.  I had never had a dog before, and didnt know anything about them.  They counseled me on food, health care, exercise, shots etc.  i call them at least once every 3 months just to ask random questions, and they are always ready and willing to answer my questions on the phone.  Thanks Adobe, we love you.

I have taken my dog here for the last 7+ years and have always liked the techs, but had mixed experience with the vets.  My dog recently had to have minor surgery, ably performed by Dr. Heather Kriensky, and I was really happy with the care they gave him.  They were good about explaining all the costs to me in advance, where I had options, and where not, and feel I was charged fairly.  My silly dog ripped half his stitching open a few days after the sutures were removed, and they were nice enough to see him pretty late on a busy Friday to re-suture him.

NB - I always park in the giant Delanos/Walgreens parking lot and walk the (very) short distance - their parking lot in front is pretty awful.

I had to get my kitty fixed the other week and everyone at Adobe was super helpful and nice to me and my kitty. They took the time to explain everything that I would need to do to make sure my kitty healed the quickest and even took the time to teach me how to put the plastic cone around my kitty's head. Their prices are a little high but the staff is very professional and nice. If you want to try them out, make sure you don't use google maps for directions. The map takes you almost all the way to Stinson; trust me you your pet will not appreciate this, i found out the hard way. Adobe is located right after the left hand turn by the gas station onto HWY 1.

We were patients at Adobe for about 2 years and have recently left to join a different practice in Marin.  The hospital was adequate, but kind of dark and not too pleasant.  There were always "hidden costs" that we were unaware of and didn't like how it wasn't a "partnership" between us and the vets.  We want to be a part of our dog's care and it felt like they were just dictating what we should do without much discussion as to why.  The last straw came when our dog had an infection in his eye and had to be examined.  He was very scared of the electric table but they forced him to go up on it b/c the doctor didn't want to examine him on the floor.  He was really anxious and started showing it and the vet was calling him a "bad boy" and saying how he had no training (untrue) and was being really bad and uncooperative.  It was pretty apparent to me that he was incredibly anxious and was responding in a very dog-like way.  I could go on about this experience and the yucky things that transpired, but the bottom line is that I left in tears and did not want to return.  We recently joined a  hospital in Novato that we LOVE and instantly saw a difference between the two the moment we walked in the door.

I used to take my princess to a vet in Sausalito. I called one time when he was on vacation and they referred me to this place. I was a little aprehensive about going to someone else, but hey, my pooch had a problem and it couldn't wait.
Flash forward a year....I've taken my doggie there 4 times now. It's been a great experience each and every time. The first time we saw Heather, who we absolutely loved. But she has taken time off for a year, so we've been seeing Dr. Steele.
My dog and I love these people. It used to be that my dog wasn't very happy about going to the vet. The mere experience of going in the door was a drag (for me too, cuz the vet was kinda grouchy to me). But now, when we go here, she runs in, all happy. She knows she's going to get a treat and meet new friends.
The thing I noticed before at the other vet  was he was good with animals but not with people.
Now I experience a place that is GREAT with animals and ALSO people. Sure, it's not as important that a vet be a great people person. But my dog has really bad allergies and therefore I have quite a few dealings with them., so it's nice that they are also freindly to me.
I know if my dog could put it into her words, she'd say...'hey Mom, thanks for taking me to that cool place where everyone thinks I'm great and has good treats and lots of good looking pooches....I'd don't like that butt thingy that they do to me though'!!!
    Nuff said!

Last weekend we adopted Max from a dog rescue in Los Angeles.  While we were confident Max was a great dog, this was my first time adopting a dog and I felt insecure with the knowledge of all the information I didn't but needed to know. So, after a recommendation from my husband whose previous dog was a happy patient at Adobe, I started there to make sure Max was set up for a healthy life. Dr. Manning gave Max a thorough check-up, tasty treats and me lots of great information. She carefully listened to and thoughtfully answered all of my questions. By the end, Max didn't want to leave. We think it's a great place for both of us.

I've had some really good experiences with these doctors.  One early one, I took, my dog in because he was struggling to #2.  They took an xray and found a blockage.  I think other places would've lined him up for surgury but they gave him *several* enemas over the course of the afternoon and it eventually worked itself out (note - if this happens to you, swimming in saltwater is a free alternative that almost always works.)  Total cost was a fraction of what it could have been.  On other visits, they have always tended to take the least radical approach, often waiting out situations and following up with you over several days (they actually do call you to see how things are going).  My experience has generally been that they will get down on the floor with your dog and take all the necessary time to evaluate and treat.  Also, prescriptions for ongoing issues are generally fillable over the phone without a visit.  I always feel as if they are putting my pet's best interest first and I've never left feeling as if I'd been unnecessarily charged for anything.  Also - parking can be difficult but I've parked in front of the wood stove place next door and scooted through the hedge without any issues.
