I have been to Adobe Gilas a few times with a girl I liked, family and friends. I would say right off the bat that THIS IS A BAR not a 5 star restaurant. I wanted to state that fact because it is not really a place for families to eat.
I like style of Adobe Gilas with its beach dive feel. I also love how most of the waitresses look ridiculously good. They have great specials for happy hour and on different days. They have a fully stocked bar with lots of tequilas, margaritas, frozen drinks, beer and the regular liquors at a bar.
Last time that I went to Adobe Gilas we started off with guacamole dip and chips. The guac was real fresh and was not to salty and was not even close to being to mushy. The guac was so good that I decided to get the Guacamole Burger (forgot the name but its the only guac burger). The burger was 1/2 lb patty, mozzarella cheese, guacamole, spicy pico de gallo, lettuce and tomato. It was incredible to say the least. My parents both got the burritos and were very disappointed with the size of them for the price. They said that the burritos were just ok.
I know that one of the nights out of the week they have a live band that plays. Even though Adobe Gilas is small, the live music is worth coming to. -

I'm not really the biggest fan of Adobe, but they do have margaritas on tap. I like them and I'm not ashamed of admitting it.
That out of the way, the cheap drinks and decent appetizers make this place the apple bees of Mexican food. Its relatively crowded and cheap, but easily accessible so it lends itself to group settings. They have occaisional live bands so make sure check before you end up there on a bad night full of drunk college kids.
I'd go there in a pinch when its hot outside, just avoid during Mexican holidays. -

It was okay. I got a shrimp wrap that included some kind of cheesy sauce in it that killed the wrap for me. Chips and salsa were good though.
I didn't really feel the live musician, but the crowd was cool.
If you like waitstaff who remind you of Hooters, this is probably the place for you. Our waiter was attentive, but she forgot our utensils and a few other things we requested. Overall not bad for late night food. -

Well, this trip was a very intoxicated one, so I will do my best to recall my experiences. I was here on a Friday evening, with live music.
1) Very crowded. Had to stalk a group to get seating.
2) Live music was okay.
3) Older crowd.
4) No bathrooms, so must use the mall bathrooms.
5) Fishbowl with alcohol is trouble. -

Dear god, some of my drunkest nights ever have started at Adobe Gilas. My only suggestion is that if you're gonna get a fishbowl, don't pour a contraband flask of Jaegermeister into it before drinking. BAD IDEA.
Projectile vomiting in the common areas of the mall aside, Gilas is always a fun time and the wait staff is friendly and they always remember a face (or a tip). Whenever my crew and I walk into the place we've usually got a few regular waitresses that run up to us, trying to snag us for themselves and secure that big tip. Whatever, I ain't mad at you.
My only REAL suggestion for Gilas is, unless you're a big fan of acoustic campus-certified hits like "Brown Eyed Girl" and "Hang on Sloopy" (SHOOT ME), avoid on Friday nights when they have the acoustic stylings of Chris Lodgston performing. I'm 99% sure this guy is running some sort of live autotune magic and he still annoys the piss out of my friends and I. Saturday nights are a much better atmosphere, with dance music and the like going on. -

I can't complain too much about this place. It's great for grabbing a drink, watching some sports, and getting your salt-fix from the food.
The margaritas are weak and the extra shot doesn't add anything. The food is similar to any other bar's with that Coyote Ugly look and feel. If you're into ogling young girls in short shorts and tight tanks, then the waitstaff here is right up your alley! -

I was visiting Columbus and a friend last week. This place seemed good. Eh.
Buckets of beer, 4 for 10 dollars. Not a fantastic deal, but not bad.
Food was just medicore.
Okay, but here's what the review is really about. There were some locals behind us who were frequents, whatever. Anyways, the waitresses were at their table like taking off their skirts and stuff. I was caught off-guard obviously. I realize this probably got them a good tip, but while eating Chicken Quesadillas and seeing waitresses in their underwear I couldn't help but think "This is a restaurant, not a strip club."
To each his own I suppose, but I was not impressed. -

i only went here once but it was a great time! The music was pretty terrible but that didn't stop me or anyone else i was with from having a great drunken night. If your like me and want something delicious that will get you drunk try the fishbowl and some cosmopolitan shots! Absolutely heavenly! The girls that work here are nice eye candy for the guys. .and the girls, also very friendly. Its a little bit weird to me that there is a bar inside the mall(they don't have that anywhere near Sacramento) but i had a blast! I'll definitely go back, no question about that!

I spent a few nights living it up here on a recent business trip to Columbus.
I can't really comment on the food, because I really don't remember having any.
But the drinks... The drinks! From what I can remember about the drinks, they were good. I think I started off with a few beers. Then, someone convinced me it was a good idea to order a margarita that came in a huge bucket... All I remember is this bucket came to the table and it had a bunch of long straws in it. This is where things get kind of blurry.
All in all this is a decent place to hang out with great bar atmosphere listening to live music and karaoke all night. -

One of the best margaritas I have ever had! Loved the different flavors. Plus the cheap food is nice too. I really like the fun atmosphere of the place, young and trendy. I had the chicken tacos and I felt like it was the right amount of food for the price. I'd go back if I lived in the area, seems like a good hangout place!

I am writing this review only for the tequila selection.
The place itself is at Easton and there are far better places to eat or hang out at Easton. Every time I have gone it has been very busy and this seems to overwhelm the staff. The bartenders rarely seem to know anything about tequila or making a good drink. The food is not the best or the quickest.
All in all, it's certainly not the best place, but I have to give them credit for their extensive tequila selection. If you go in there to order straight tequila, then this is a great place.
2 stars for everything but the tequila. -

If you're not exactly looking to have an amazing dining experience, but would love to be in the center of all things cool and hip for karaoke and live night, then Adobe Gila's is for you. I've been here about four times, and my favorite things are 1) every calendar night of the week, something is a special and SOMETHING is going on, 2) the decor is funky/kitschy/odd-Mexican-inspiration (the chairs are rickety but hold more than 200lbs, so don't worry), 3) the live singers are quite good.
Depending on the day of the week, the crowds will vary. Weekday afternoons are all right, but weekends are naturally a lot more upbeat. Week nights tend to be kind of mellow, but not completely dead. The weekends are packed and if you plan on going here, you'd better like loud crowds, music and buckets of beer. Let's assume you do--so get something that's more down to earth on the menu...because I have to say the sort of upscale swanky things I've ordered (like their Maji [sp?] sandwich) made me never want to eat fish again it was so salty.
You're going a step up from Gameworks quality of food, but not by leaps and bounds. Go here in a group, the place calls for that type of thing. -

PROS: Decent place to watch games. I know I had to during the Stanley Cup playoffs being a Flyers fan. They also had the Phillies on which was cool. Also like the bucket of Coronas!
CONS: Yeah, they get too busy and the bartenders are a bit amateur. -

Came here on a Wednesday when DJ Ant was on the wheels of steel. I must say I was very impressed to find a DJ i liked in Columbus . Being from Chicago, I've witnessed great DJs and one of my old school friends is a top DJ on one of the Chicago radio stations. Anyways this guy was banging hit after hit and he was getting into his music which all DJs should be doing.
On to the drinks. 312 and Miller lite for 10.50? I expect those prices in Chicago but not in Columbus.
The place was fairly busy for a Wednesday night but its a very small place. Not much room to dance or move. Fairly diverse crowd which is good. Next time I am here, ill check out the food. -

2 words, Habenaro salsa. Wow, awesomely spicy. This salsa was legit habenaro spice and had my mouth steaming, but in a good way. The food overall ok, but the free chips and salsa at happy hour is an excellent ploy. They have live music on certain nights and the drink specials are pretty on the money. They've also got a couple monster drinks they serve in buckets if you're into that. Located in Easton it's definitely one of the more casual locations, but some place I would check out again if I was looking for a quesadilla and a beer.
