I was saddened a little to hear that maintenance had fallen off abit at Adobe Creek as I always loved to play this course when I lived nearby. I look forward to playing it this spring as I heard needed repairs were previously made. It has a terrific driving range for someone like me who plays sporadically thruout the year, to get warmed up and have a better game.

It really has something for beginner and advanced players alike. I love the
rolling landscape and water traps. I think it is a beautiful course when it is
at its best. It may be I am not such a good player, but I find it challenging
every time I go! We sometimes caught their $45 special with cart and lunch on
    a weekend.

Adobe Creek is BACK!  The grounds keepers are doing a fantastic job in bringing back this gem.  The Staff is excellent.  I play here 3 times a week.  Ample parking.  Fore!

This is a course on the come back I hope needs some TLC I will wait until late spring before I play here again to give them a chance to get back into shape. Until ten Foxtail is a better bet.

The staff in the pro shop was very, very courteous.  But the greenskeeper pulled all the flags ahead of me @ just past 5pm.... last summer when there was 2 hours of daylight left!  He barked at me for moving off the cart path to let him by.  That just killed it for me.

Hilly course, not too many flat lies, forgettable holes (except #7).  Rooster Run down the street is the opposite... except they have courteous staff too!

Nice open fairways. It's not over watered despite what people say. It is just an old watering system and some places are unavoidably wet. Greens were not very good, pretty bouncy. I have 8 three putts and think that I only deserved 3. Hit my best drive of my life off of the first hole, so I can't be too negative about the course. Best part of the course would have to be the buffalo chicken wrap!

The rates aren't too steep, course is in ok shape.  Some interesting holes, but on a whole its pretty plain.   Play can be slow, but its never way slow.

Nicely laid out course with tight fairways and wind providing challenges.  The links style has undulating fairways and greens and is peppered with other hazards including bunkers and water.  The maintenance is only okay as the fairways are a bit chewed up and the greens are also covered with reminders of approach shots.  Overall course is a good value and worth playing if you're in the area.

The only problem with the course is that there are lots of weeds. It used to be  beautiful.

Lots of pros and cons at Adobe.  It's very affordable, has a nice driving range off grass with real target greens to aim for.
Putting and chipping area is pretty good, but no real place to practice sand shots or pitches.
The course is very forgiving, with neighboring fairways keeping wayward drives in play, however there is a lot of water on the course too that creates penalties. So it gives and takes away...
Maintenance of course could be better--pretty shaggy, etc. Some of the greens really need work, and they do try to improve them, but expenses must be kept down.
Play pace can be very slow at times....pick your spots and you can breeze through though.
All in all, a pretty good place to play and a good bargain.

This course is my "go to" course, mainly because you can get GREAT deals on discounted tee times online.  My best thus far was a twilight tee time for $15 with cart.  Can't beat that!  Staff is friendly and they have a real grass driving range with a practice bunker and chipping greens.  Course is generally wide open on most fairways.  Beware of the afternoon wind as that can provide extra challenge.  7th hole is a doozy with blind tee shot to a lay up and then over a creek to the green.  Pretty well maintained overall -- they've worked on drainage issues over the years.

This is the country club course of Petaluma. It is public, but is kept like a private course.  I love the wide open greens- it is great for beginners and advanced players.

this is an ok course.  the course is wide-open w/ little trouble.  as long as there isn't much wind, you'll definitely help the handicap.

other pluses - inexpensive, not crowded, and almost always sunny.

We golf every Sunday and travel all over the Bay Area.  We played this course for years starting when it opened in about 1998 or so.....saw a cheap tee time on Golf Now so we tried it again this past Sunday.....BIG MISTAKE. WOW. I guess with the price of the surrounding houses falling off a cliff there is ZERO money to maintain the course. It is in HORRIBLE. condition. The fairways have very patchy grass or none at all. The greens have huge dead spots with big chunks and holes all over them. They haven't rolled the greens at all either so they are extremely bumpy. It is approaching unplayable with the condition of the fairways and greens. Sad really. You can tell it is just a lack of money for maintainability and water.  Oh yeah, the tee boxes are torn to pieces as well and it looked on several tees that no one had moved the tee markers for a few days, so we did it ourselves. The traps are mud (no sand) and were un-raked and unmaintained as well. The entire course is literally falling apart for lack of maintenance.
Do yourself a favor, don't play there at any price....

typical robert trent jones course.  water in front, bunkers here and there...this would be a 4star layout i think if it werent for the houses that pepper the front nine.  course is well kept, greens are consistent.  drinks are reasonably priced.  my only complaints are the homes that line the front side and the soggy grass on some of the front nine holes that shouldnt be found in mid July.  nice viewing on the 8th hole though!  would play here again...
