Today was a very sad day for us because we had to put our dog, Annie, down.    But,  the doctor and the staff were very nice, sympathetic and professional and went out of their way to do everything they could to ease our pain.
I think I will trust them with my animals in the future.
          And,  the prices were reasonable.

We stated going to Adobe Animal Hospital in 1992. Dr. Judy has been our vet the entire time. A few months ago we had to have our 13 year old Lab/Rot mix put down. As a personal favor Dr. Judy accepted our request to be with Scoopy and her family as we said goodbye to a dear friend, companion and family member. It was as hard on Dr. Judy and the staff as it was for us. Heartfelt thanks to all at Adobe for their compassion, love and concern. Scoopy went in the comfort of those she loved and loved her. She left with dignity and grace. Thank you doesn't convey our gratitude. If you are looking for a Veterinarian to call home you just found it.
Love Jim, Jane, John & Jacqueline.

I have been taking all our pets here for at least 25 years.  They even took care of my chicken that was injured by a dog.  This last year our elderly cat and 19 year old dog were laid to rest.  The staff was so caring...from the front desk to the doctors.  They have always treated us like family.  I know vet costs are expensive...I have read the bad reviews about insensitivity concerning payments.  Remember...this is a business not Government Health Care.  If you cannot afford to provide for your pets eventual needs then don't get one. You can always pay for pet medical insurance, which I wish we did...maybe in the future.   Only issue I  ever had was with a very old woman that work the desk for awhile.  She was very abrasive.  Have not seen her in a long time.  I will ALWAYS be grateful for the personal care they gave us and our pets in their final hour.

Adobe is the best!  I've been an Adobe customer for 14 years and I will always take my animals here.  Dr.Judy Reens, Dr. Kate Killian and the Adobe staff are fantastic. They have treated my cats, at all life stages, from kitten to senior and through the final life stage.

From preventative care to treating complex problems, the quality of care is amazing and just right.  Judy and Kate always take the time to discuss options with me and propose the appropriate level of care.  The staff is caring and sensitive, always providing me with the the information I need to make the best decision for my cats.

I'm impressed with the type of care they provide on site.  And when it was necessary for advanced care, Kate did not hesitate to refer my cat to the UC Davis Vet Med Hospital.

This is the only vet that my dogs are actually excited to go to. I think it's the special liver treats they give them during visits. Or maybe it's the great staff? I'm just glad when I drive up to Adobe & my little wiener dogs start "harfing" (squeaky happy noises).

The prices do seem a bit steep but they take such good care of our pets. That makes it worth it to me.

Disclaimer: This is for routine exams only.  So far we have been fortunate and our dog hasn't had any serious health issues.

Well, our dog loves going to the vet...and he particularly loves this vet.  I could lie to you and tell you it's because:
    - Dr. Killian and her assistants are really nice
    - They give solid advice without pushing any unnecessary treatments
      or medications
    - They are compassionate
    - Their schedule works well for the working population

But let's be honest, he loves going there for the liver treats that he receives before, during and after the examination.

I have been taking my 3 dogs here for 7 years. I now live 30 miles away and I still go here. One of my dogs is diabetic and needs tests and check ups fairly regularly. Dr. Reens is fantastic, as is Dr. Killian who we don't see as often. The staff will call just to check up in my dog. They have been nothing but great, even when I had to put one of my dogs down due to cancer. I highly recommend them. I have never had a problem, and I have been there too many times to count.

Dr. Judy and her staff were so wonderful with our very diffcult situation.
Sadly, when I was pregnant our beloved cat needed to be put to sleep.
The staff at adobe we so understanding and helpful
    What a great team!

I first started going here about 5yrs ago because my friend worked the front desk here on her days off.  But, I still go there now. Dr. Killian is great, and really seems to genuinely care about you pet. I have a 20yr old cat diagnosed with Hyper Active Thyroid about  2yrs ago. She reacted to the meds and I had to stop treatment. Dr. Killian researched other meds and surgery options. We agreed that surgery was risky 20yr old. She kept calling and following up with different options and to check on the 20yr old's health. So, a few months later, Dr. Killian calls me with yet another option that was brought to her attention by another client. So, with all their client's they keep track of the individual cases. I also see Dr. Reens  who is also very caring and diligent in the care of my pets.

This was our 1st vet visit after being in Concord for 1 year and we'll be sticking with them. Dr. Killian & her staff are very caring & friendly. They did a great job getting my cat to 100 % healthy condition. He had a bad mouth disease which I would never have known about. Highly recommended.

After going here for 3+ years, and referring 4 of my friends here I had the worst experience of my life.  My dog was diagnosed with bone cancer on Monday, and Tuesday he passed away while in their care.  It came to be $1800 for 1 day of testing what not, fine.  I was beside myself crying and upset when I went to pick up my dog (to let him forever lay in his favorite spot under the lemon tree) they would not release his body to me.  They wanted the remainder of the payment then and there.  I didn't have my purse, I had to be driven to go get him.  I was asked "do you have a credit card?" and "how about a check?" and "what about cash?"  Complity insensitive.  They would not release him until I signed a piece of paper stating I would go home, bury him, and be back in their office by 8:00 pm with the remainder of the payment owed, which was $600.  NO COMPASSION OR CARING that I had just lost my best friend of 8 years.  Oh, I paid by 8pm, and never went back there again.  I also told my friends not to return there as they did not have any empathy for people when their pet passed.  When I waited a couple of days and talked to Dr. Killian about, didn't care.  Needless to say they lost my business, my friends business, and anyone who I can tell about the horrible experience I had.  If you love your pet and if you wanted to be treated with respect, take your pet elsewhere.

PLEASE::::these morons killed my beloved dog with unneeded surgery. You can read all the great stories, but when your beloved pet is dead after surgery, all this stuff means nothing

I worked here a long time ago, when Dr. Mayer was around.  The place is run by generally intelligent and competent doctors and staff.  The reason I left as a client was that (after I was no longer working here) I had brought my rescue cat in for a work check, given a clean bill of health (no worms!) only to discover a few weeks later that she did in fact have tape worm.  A guest at my house noticed them coming out!!! I spent a horrifying and sleepless night, imagining feeling things crawling on me, to go in in the morning, shaken and traumatized, wondering if I had caught it too (ick! ) to be told that  it must have been too early to tell that she had been infected(!!!!).  And they charged me for ANOTHER worm exam, which I thought they should have waved considering they missed them the first time!  We paid for some tapeworm meds and took her home.  I was obsessively checking every white spot for weeks.  Several weeks later as I was chastising myself for picking at something in the washing machine that looked like it could possibly be a worm, I picked up A WORM!!!!! OMG!  I took her back in, was given some other lame excuse, charged for ANOTHER worm exam. I think I even mentioned that this was absurd and that the fee for the worm exam should be waved, and they refused.  I refused to buy roundworm meds from them and I never went back.  I went to another vet immediately who gave all our pets 1 medication that treated ALL types of worms (since they had all caught it by then), and have been blessedly worm free, and Adobe Animal Hospital free, ever since.  Dumb business practices.  They could have given me a pass on $100 or so of worm tests, made thousands of dollars off me as a continuing client.
