I do not know why the other two reviewers had such a bad experience because mine was just the opposite. We had a late lunch, on a beautiful summer day on the outside patio.
My wife had a chicken salad with sherbet that she loved and I had the clam chowder which was great and a beef half sandwich. There was more roast beef on that half sandwich that you would expect on any full sandwich.
Everything was perfect! If your in Alex Bay and looking for a great place to eat I highly recommend it. -

I fell a little guilty giving this restaurant one star because it is in a tourist town that is hurting in this economy. And with a season that is only 3-4 months a year I know they can use all the support they can get. But the food is terrible.
My father and I each ordered the fish and chips. The fish were frozen fish squares with frozen french fries, at $10.99 a pop I was pissed to say the least. Husband ordered the fish sandwich, same thing but brown iceberg lettuce on a yucky roll. Mom's chicken salad was nothing special and again too expensive.
Service was slow and unfriendly. For a Sunday afternoon in the bay this was a big let down.
