If all kennels were kept like Adler Stein keeps theirs - I'd leave my dogs there for kicks.

Having German Shepherds - I have to be really picky about where I leave my dogs.  They are all titled in "Schutzhund" and being German Shepherd Dogs - they should be handled as such, not little toy poodles.

First off, Adler Stein knows German Shepherds.  Anne has been breeding working German Shepherds for many, many years.  Second -  with so many dogs in boarding, not to mention many of her own Shepherds - - the kennels are immaculate, day and night.  I know, because I've popped in at all times of the day.

I'd travel the four hours it takes me to get here just to drop my dogs off here when I am leaving for a long trip - or going to LA.  I'd never consider going anywhere else.
I've left all three of my dogs with her  often - and then once, even left my puppies there to be boarded when I had to go away for a week, and every single time - there has never, ever been a single problem.

Not only are the dogs taken care of - but the dogs are happy.  Anne understands dogs like nobody else - and dogs are always aware of this.  All the dogs are let out often, and you can even opt to have them taken for daily walks, etc.

You can bring your own food, or you can use the kennel's food - but boarding prices are really economical, and the kennels are huge, with outdoor, indoor options - even air conditioned ones, too.  During holiday seasons, they are usually booked completely - - so it'd be wise to make reservations.  

They have their hours posted on their website www.adlerstein.com .... she's a one-woman show, and she keeps very specific hours to ensure that all the works that needs to be done is done, on time.  Her property is located a bit far from the highway (about 10 or 11 minutes) but well worth the trek.
I've been going here for years, and could not possibly ask for more!

Being a German Shepherd breeder myself - I have met all of her working dogs and would also highly recommend looking for a German Shepherd puppy here if you are wanting one.  Excellent, quality working dogs.... German Shepherds RULE!
