If you love OG Adidas, this is the store for you. Bought a jacket and some shoes not to long ago. It was a bit pricey but since I'm a fan, I said FUCK IT! Here's a lil advise. Come in with 2 Billies so you feel like a BALLER, and not like a Balla on a Budget! #MoneyTeam!

I recently dated a girl that lived less than 10 mins from the Melrose store and I miss going there. I'm almost tempted to get back together as I did quite a bit of shopping in that area. I said almost. Melrose aint what it used to be (I remember the pre-corporate days) but there's a couple of small shops that carry Italian Fred Perry (hyper dope) and Pretty Green (ultra rare in the U.S.). And I scored 3 pairs of Kick AG's at Originals. Random people give me props all the time when I wear them. I'd practically starve for another pair but can't find them anymore. Adidas, PLEASE reissue all the vintage Mod style trainers.
Bring back Italias in the classic colorways!! Please bring back OG Gazelles in sand suede! And bring back Tokios!!
Anyway, I recently popped my head into this OC location and it seemed chill but I was sort of in a hurry. I did notice they had some British looking tees with Mod targets and imagery in the design. I might have to go back for some tees. I was tempted to try on some Samoas but it's more of an 80's style (thick cushy heel section) as opposed to the streamlined look of the 60's/70's trainers (Rom, Italia, Gazelle, Dragon, etc). I think I'll wait for an Italia reissue to satisfy my Mod needs.
I'm awarding 4 stars for now since I didn't actually interact with any employees. I'll bump it up later if they're as chill as they seem.
OC needs more places that carry vintage/classic reissued gear! -

****IMMEDIATE FIVE STAR UPGRADE***
This store took a little "getting up to speed" with the other locations...and now they are officially up and running. The manager is awesome--great new employees.
I am an Originals NUTCASE so it makes me happy to have a great store now a few blocks away.........even though I STILL have the ultimate "crush" on the Melrose Location thanks to my number one--MEGAN who is now running the show up there.
For my birthday I received a jacket from here--and the sleeves were abnormally long--and I have a 36" + wing--so I cannot understand the demographic of the jacket I got--maybe it was tailor made for my close relative "Homo habilis" --but I have evolved just a tiny bit more and needed to make an exchange. BAM. Great service--nothing but nice--(cute young girl)and fast. Put on another jacket, same size--and the sleeves fit perfectly.
Orange County is filled with such dorks though--Tommy Bahama, Nike, and ultra tacky lovers of True Religion and the putrid Ed Hardy.......YUCK! Get some style.....if you need some I have plenty to spare--so I will use my psychic powers and channel some through this review--go ahead.............take some.
OK ........ a little more...YES...........you need a little more--don't worry--I won't miss it.
OK. Now that you have it--what are you doing sitting in front of your computer still? Get off your ass and RUN to the THIRD FLOOR --NO, not next to Ruby's you dweeb--but take the escalator up two more levels and head toward Sport Chalet--YES!
What's that you say? Girls actually look at you now--and they don't throw up!? Awwwwwww Shucks...Don't thank me--I'm just doing my job........All in a day's work.

No offense to any of the other employees here, but one of the girls here, (dealt with her twice on the phone and once in person) is a straight up B.
When a customer calls you with an inquiry on whether or not you carry a product and you don't, the polite thing would be to tell them that you don't have it in stock but you can refer them to another store that may have said item. Not, "Didn't I just say we don't have it?" Look, I'm not an idiot, no need to talk to me like that.
And even worse when a customer walks in and makes a similar inquiry IN PERSON, and then have an air about you when you answer them with the same bad attitude...uh, no thanks. I will take my money elsewhere, thank you.
Please, Adidas, train your employees to treat customers with respect and teach them how to answer questions politely. I didn't have an attitude for her, so why the attitude for me? You're in customer service. Act like it. And if you don't like to deal with customers, find a new job. -

Shanon IS a True adidas Junkie, VERY happy to have been around to see her Get the Job here! She knows who her adi Head customers are and Contacts them when a Promo or new release is out! Much Love to ya and keep hiring them TRUE adidas heads, not them mall rats!!! lol

The employees here are awesome. The Adidas Originals line recently released their Jeremy Scott Bear shoes and I saw it on their official facebook fan page so I randomly commented "Where do I get these?" Note this is the Official 'Adidas Originals' Fan page not the actual Costa Mesa store one. A few hours later, I recieve a message from the manager of the store in Costa Mesa and she gives me all the information about the shoes. I drive over there and picked up two pairs. The employees are really cool and greet you as soon as you walk in. Service was great. It was a good shopping experience. Thankn yYOU!

my store is pretty much right under the originals store in the mall.. which is a good and bad thing.
good because i get to see all the new line and new merchandise first on my lunch breaks and chat with the oh so friendly employees..
bad because i want to buy everything. i LOVE the originals line SO much better than the sport line. i've already purchased 5 pairs of shoes from them, a jacket and a tshirt - all within the past 3-4 months. ohnoes.
i also love that because it's a store, they can sometimes have separate sales from the website.. like stuff at 30-50% off, and the website has it at full price!
great service, great product, i hope this location stays open for a long while.
