Wow, I can't believe that the other reviews are so low. My husband and I ate here while in Eureka and couldn't have been happier. He had corned beef hash and I had the Irish breakfast, which was....corned beef, eggs and potatoes. Portions were huge and the potatoes were crispy...delish! And the price was completely right. Service was attentive. What's not to like?

I've gone to Adele's with my mom several times as a child. When I was five, I was simply awestruck by the hot pink sugar in pretty jars. I used to love it there.
More recently, as in just over three years ago, I went there on a double date with my fiance and a couple of friends from work. We were thrilled with the giant sundae that the four of us shared (and were unable to finish) for just over seven bucks. Until I realized...they had a whole section of the restaurant where they were only seating overweight people. The "pretty" people were more up-front and visible, while the "not-so-pretties" were in the back where you couldn't see them very well. Not that I spend my days looking at other customers, but it's a little ridiculous to be hiding "fat people" as we heard a waitress refer to them when speaking to another waitress. -

SHARF.
That's what I did when I ate at Adels this morning. For Chrissake, I was just looking for a diner that was open at 6:30AM! I had to take my lady friend to the airport, and my tummy was hungry! I ordered eggs over easy and hashbrowns. I then spent three hours paying for it. Check your fridge temp, Adel.
definition: Sharf = the merge of two 'bodily function' terms... yeah, you get the point. SICK! -

Do Not Use Liquid Cheesewhiz Plastic-Stuff On Real Food. This was especially horrible because most of the rest of the ingredients were actually fresh and decent, and were utterly ruined by that disgusting congealed plastic mass that was supposed to be cheese. The experience of eating it disgusted me so much I couldn't even really finish the rest of my dinner, which was miserable considering how long I'd been driving, and we still had to get to Crescent City.
Nonetheless the friend I was traveling with had a reasonably decent if completely uninspiring dish and all in all, while the one particular dish I ordered was horrible the quality of the restaurant and presentation were not bad enough to rate only one star. Still, it's basically a local Denny's, and probably slightly more expensive, so going here when traveling up the coast is purely a decision based on how much you like supporting local businesses. -

This is definitely a local dive. It's pretty much a little bit nicer version of a Denny's. I'm pretty sure the manager is a guy who is perv because all the waitresses here have big boobs and run around in short skirts.. kinda interested place to do some people watching at. Lots of locals.. very very interesting place. Food is alright ..they have a lot of great salads and a nice variety..

This place is really not that great, I'm surprised that so many locals eat here. Maybe they just don't have any taste, or have low standards. Maybe they aren't snobs like me. The food here is typical low-class cheap stuff, like you find at an Applebee's, Denny's, Sizzler and the like. The only difference is that it's locally owned... Maybe I'm being too hard on the place. The food isn't horrible, and the two times I have been there I did finish most of it... but it's just that the food tastes and looks cheap, and kind of bland. But hey, if you're the type of person who doesn't poo-poo the idea of going to a Denny's for a meal, then by all means, this is the place for you.

The other people reviewing Adel's have clearly forgotten that this is EUREKA. Anyway, what else is there better at 4AM? The waitresses are hot (usually) and the food is better than applebee's. Nuff said.
